We stayed for 5 nights over the Christmas and it was a reasonable place particularly when you are travelling with kids. Pool access and dining options are at Hotel Alba - short walk from the room. Only issues that worth highlighting are: - No pool towels were available and no one wasn’t around to ask, so we went back and got our own ones. - Reception staff people were either overly tired or weren’t really appealing / into customer service. - Breakfast buffet was good with reasonable selection of food. However, ONLY some staff weren’t greeting to us even on the Christmas day itself. it was pretty obvious that they ignored us including my younger kids, but majority of staff seemed enjoying their work. - Lower ground room was noisy. We could hear people climbing down on stairs, jumping around on top floor and loud people around.

Clean and simple room. Exactly what we needed. Facilities at the hotel that you can access next door are great. Very nice pool area. Overall would highly recommend if you're after a no frills room in the CBD with the added bonus of a great outdoor pool area.

The hotel was fine, location was ok. We stayed over the weekend when there were several hens-nights, so guests were quite loud. Bedding could’ve been better - 1 very soft pillow each which was not adequate. Advertising a swimming pool, which wasn’t even at the premises was very misleading, and felt awkward having to go next door to use the facilities.

A motel is a motel, they all very similar in both style and layout but this one is managed by the Hotel Alba next door. The room was of a good size and contained both a single and double bed and a decent size wardrobe held a programmable safe. Amenities included the usual wash basin, toilet and shower as well as hairdryer, iron, microwave and kettle. Housekeeping was daily but could be delayed as required. All of the facilities of the hotel were available to use and included a bar, restaurant and swimming pool. The staff were all very friendly, professional and diligent which added to our very pleasant stay.

If I had to pick up things to improve on I would only say: The bathroom could have been a little cleaner 8/10 - as tiles around the bathroom could have been wiped better. For what we needed, a short break to visit family and with free parking - it was great. The car park was full bar 2 spots on the Friday night, so that could be painful if you pulled in later. I also thought the room could have a couple of bowls- incase you wanted cereal or noodles in your room- and there was only one spoon. The staff were really attentive and the restaurant attached to reception was great. Wine and pasta $30 on a Thursday night. We would stay again next time as the location was super handy and didn’t feel like you were in the city. Nice park across the road which held a wedding ceremony on the weekend. It was a good vibe and close to grandparent in thebarton so we love these aspects and it suited us really well.

Lovely room, comfortable bed. Easy parking - outdoors is great because I don’t have to worry about height restrictions on the Land Cruiser. There was an intermittent ticking noise from the heater all night long and into the morning even though I’d turned it off early in the evening. Luckily I fell asleep before it was too annoying. Overall I’d be happy to book again if I can get another room!

Room not vacuumed upon arrival - about 10 pea-sized gravel pieces around the beds that I stepped on (left my shoes outside on entering so wasn’t from me). Poor first impression for a room $340 per night on one of the nights. Went for shower after long drive from VIC & found shower height adjuster was broken & slides to bottom - shower head could only be used at a point midway between chest and hips. Hot water took 3mins to hit the shower. TV flickered when switched off via the remote - needed to be turned off at wall when going to sleep. Noise from above sounded like a bowling ball being dropped on the floor - granted, not hotels fault if it was a patron, but noise does travel & can be clearly heard from rooms above & around. Not value at even half the price I paid. Poor stay.

This is a very comfortable motel style (my preference) accommodation. I would have rated it higher but for the extreme musty odor in my room (my friend's room was fine). Otherwise, I would definitely stay here again. Very nice!

Property location is very close to CBD which gave public transport access and easy to get break fast and dinner. In 3 days stay my room did not get any house keeping service. Even though, when I was going out and keeping sign at front door for house keeping staff. Overall good stay.

The Motel was in a good location with ample parking. Great air-conditioning, modern bathroom including consumables body wash, hand wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand cream bottles on wall. The duvet was severely stained in many locations. Body wash wasn't topped up by cleaners

I stayed in Room 28 and found that the beds were too soft for my liking. I am used to a very firm bed so the beds provided may be quite ok for others. I ended up sleeping in the middle of the bed where the 2 mattresses touch and found this to be firmer and acceptable. There was an intermittent noise which appeared to be above the room and at first I thought it was people walking upstairs, but I don’t think this was the case. The noise was the same each time it occurred and it wasn’t there all the time, but happened a lot of times during the night. I ended up putting in earplugs and then had a reasonable sleep. In fairness I am a reasonably light sleeper. The noise may have been from down pipes as there was rain during my stay.

Recently upgraded and facilities very good. Great location. Check in is messy as you have to go another hotel next door and then back track to motel carpark. Booked for 2 people but only one face washer provided. No spare pillows provided. Could not get TV to work and when rang reception for help were put through to yet another hotel. Was given incorrect information about breakfast as this was available at the one we checked into but reception at the second wrongly quoted for their establishment. Confused? So were we. Also charged extra fee for using credit card without being informed of this. When these issues were brought up at check out we were given excuses and advised that we were at fault for not seeking help. Will not be returning.
Recently upgraded and facilities very good. Great location. Check in is messy as you have to go another hotel next door and then back track to motel carpark. Booked for 2 people but only one face washer provided. No spare pillows provided. Could not get TV to work and when rang reception for help were put through to yet another hotel. Was given incorrect information about breakfast as this was available at the one we checked into but reception at the second wrongly quoted for their establishment. Confused? So were we. Also charged extra fee for using credit card without being informed of this. When these issues were brought up at check out we were given excuses and advised that we were at fault for not seeking help. Will not be returning.

Still waiting for my security bond after 3 days. Light outside room was so bright it was like daylight in my room. The motel messaged me at 7am to check out and woke me. No one at reseption for 20 mins to check out so i just left. Bed was comfortable

I really like the location of the property. The room and amenities were good. What is so disappointing is the customer service of the front of house. That guy in the FOH is the worst receptionist we’ve ever encountered. He would still wait til the guest gets pissed off before doing something. This is the second time we stayed here. Same guy from the FOH. Same level of service. Gave the hotel a second chance hence we stayed here the second time around. But what just happened over the weekend is just not acceptable. So definitely not going back to Hotel Motel.

I stayed here for 8 nights. Room was serviced every day and I was given a meal voucher on arrival for the restaurant. The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable, and it was quite, so had a great nights sleep. Great location to both tram and bus stops if needing to use public transport. My only complaint would be that the meal voucher was only able to be used in the a la carte restaurant and not the other dining area which we dined at. We did not know this until we paid for the meal and found out we could not use the voucher. On one day the coffee and milk was not topped up, but I suspect this might have been a small oversight. In general a great stay and would stay here again if I ever visited Adelaide.

Easy check in, easy and assessable parking, the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel manager Suinam was outstanding and a complete natural he deserves employee of the month and a raise! He went above and beyond to help cater to my needs making my stay comfortable and relaxing. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.

We stayed for 5 nights over the Christmas and it was a reasonable place particularly when you are travelling with kids. Pool access and dining options are at Hotel Alba - short walk from the room. Only issues that worth highlighting are: - No pool towels were available and no one wasn’t around to ask, so we went back and got our own ones. - Reception staff people were either overly tired or weren’t really appealing / into customer service. - Breakfast buffet was good with reasonable selection of food. However, ONLY some staff weren’t greeting to us even on the Christmas day itself. it was pretty obvious that they ignored us including my younger kids, but majority of staff seemed enjoying their work. - Lower ground room was noisy. We could hear people climbing down on stairs, jumping around on top floor and loud people around.

A motel is a motel, they all very similar in both style and layout but this one is managed by the Hotel Alba next door. The room was of a good size and contained both a single and double bed and a decent size wardrobe held a programmable safe. Amenities included the usual wash basin, toilet and shower as well as hairdryer, iron, microwave and kettle. Housekeeping was daily but could be delayed as required. All of the facilities of the hotel were available to use and included a bar, restaurant and swimming pool. The staff were all very friendly, professional and diligent which added to our very pleasant stay.

The room was great for the three nights we needed. If I had to pick up things to improve on I would only say: The bathroom could have been a little cleaner 8/10 - as tiles around the bathroom could have been wiped better. For what we needed, a short break to visit family and with free parking - it was great. The car park was full bar 2 spots on the Friday night, so that could be painful if you pulled in later. I also thought the room could have a couple of bowls- incase you wanted cereal or noodles in your room- and there was only one spoon. The staff were really attentive and the restaurant attached to reception was great. Wine and pasta $30 on a Thursday night. We would stay again next time as the location was super handy and didn’t feel like you were in the city. Nice park across the road which held a wedding ceremony on the weekend. It was a good vibe and close to grandparent in thebarton so we love these aspects and it suited us really well.

Nicely renovated conversion of an older style facility in a quiet location opposite the gardens. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Having breakfast poolside was a great way to start the morning. Easy walk to everything or tram and bus close by.

The area has a ghetto vibes, all sorts of shady people are gathering on the parking lot in front of the rooms. Also, it's noisy. The staff is friendly and it is a good service, but I wasn't thrilled with buffet breakfast. Occasionally they were lacking food and plates, especially if you arrive after 8 am. The only good thing was a free parking.

The room was comfortable and spacious. Check-in was a bit odd as you check-in at the hotel next door. It is a motel with all the rooms having outside access. However, the woman at check-in was super friendly. There is no lift to the upper floor, but that wasn't a problem for me. Overall it was a good choice.

Mother, daughter city stay to see a show at the Regent theatre. Room were very small, but clean, comfy & exactly what we needed. Self check in/out so the only time we engaged staff were in the bar (which was great) and at the buffet breakfast, which had a good selection of hot & cold food & beverages. Great location, clean and comfy. Highly recommended esp. for the price!
