The room was stinky, towels are old and not fresh smelling, toilet leaks a little at the bottom part, no exhaust fan in the toilet, no facial tissues, lift doesn’t work. The redeeming factor were the staff who are helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Very nice hotel - clean and comfortable. Unfortunately no sockets near the bed for charging phone etc. Dining area lacking in atmosphere but pleasant enough though they need to install some window blinds. And the steps into the dining area are an accident waiting to happen!

The location of the hotel is excellent for a visit to the Shrine. The lack of washcloths in the bathroom is unusual for us Americans. The shower tub is uncomfortable. With the shower curtain wraparound you like a mummy with shower in use. Perhaps a curved shower curtain rod could help.

Really comfortable hotel in a beautiful setting within the grounds of the basilica and shrine. Evening mass at the church. Excellent meal choices. Very friendly and professional staff. Shuttle available to train station and airport. Would definitely stay again.

A quiet place to stay. Located immediately next to the Knock shrine. We stayed three nights. Breakfast was convenient. Dinner as well.

This is a conference style hotel, it has a cold atmosphere and very few facilities. If you are looking for a cosy, comfortable, with the world wide renowned warm Irish hospitality this isn’t the hotel for you. This hotel is situated next door to a very large religious building, the knock shrine & Basilica. As soon as you enter the hotel the cold stone floor & walls and high ceiling makes the place feel cold and stark. The elevator was not working ( due to storm damage) so you need to carry you luggage downstairs to your room, luckily we only had small bags but I feel sorry for anyone with anything larger as no help was offered. The room was very basic, bed hard, no bathroom ventilation, no refrigerator, no shampoo or body wash or bottled water or anything complimentary. I asked the front desk if they had convenience shop in the hotel or a vending machine and the answer was no. The restaurant followed the pattern being basic, cold atmosphere and the food was average to poor and quite expensive vs other hotels we had stayed at with a very basic burger costing 18 euros. Tap water was on offer but it smelt of ammonia. We will not be staying here again

I was initially given room 101. It had a terrible smell and the WiFi didn't work. The kind staff on the front desk moved me to another room on the same floor as reception. It was beautiful and the wifi worked. Very comfortable bed and the bathroom had a lovely shower. The breakfast was delicious. There was a good choice of fruits, cereals and cooked breakfast. The staff were very attentive. Although, I was in Mayo for business, I enjoyed visiting the spiritual sanctuary that is Knock. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the basilica. I found this to be a gorgeous place to walk in the early morning. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. It is the perfect base for any trip to Mayo

We stayed in knock house hotel as we were attending a funeral in Ballyhaunis. The staff were very friendly & the meal we had was beautiful as was the breakfast. The hotel is spotless. The room was lovely & warm. Love the exposed stone & the view of the shrine from the picture window behind the reception & beautiful views over the countryside from the large window on the other side. Beautifully designed that all rooms have a view of the garden. Would definitely stay again.

Everything about ou stay was great apart from one issue that caused us great grief. A horrible smell in the room when we walked in. We opened the window and after a while it got so much better. We went out for the evening and on returning the smell was as bad if not worse. So we contacted the night porter and he came to the room and immediately went to the shower and let the water run for some time. This fixed the problem and thankfully it remained fixed. Otherwise everything else was great.

Everything was good except that there’s no air conditioning which I wasn’t aware of. However, that is not uncommon in Ireland. Given that, I thought the room rate is high. However, it’s right opposite the Basilica of Our Lady of Knock, and I guess that’s what they’re cashing in on - Location, location, location!

The staff were friendly, young and helpful. The choice of food was very good and reasonable in price. The room had everything we needed and was peaceful. Its a two minute walk to the shrine from the hotel.i dont think there is an upper floor. The area was very quiet at the time of year. The hotel is about 25 minutes from the airport by car. There is a bus service from the airport also. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed for one night for ease of access to Knock Shrine. Staff were very friendly and those we dealt with were very helpful. The heating in our room was on when we arrived meaning that, on a very warm day, it was far too hot. Fan on and window open didn't make much difference. Smokers outside chatting were noisy and smoke drifted in, rain smell of urine in bathroom on arrival. Bed very comfortable, food lovely in evening and morning.

The hotel room was very clean and well appointed. Because the location of the hotel is quite remote you are dependent on the restaurant for main meals. The evening meal choices were disappointing. This with not helped by the food being served on cold plates, which made the meal itself only warm at the point of service. On one occasion this was bad enough for me to return the plate to the kitchen.

So far out from any restaurants, did have to eat dinner at the hotel and that was the only positive of this hotel. Sammy was very pleasant at dinner time all others not so much. Hotel clerk, hotel waitresses were very rude. Breakfast was included but rate it a 2 out of 5. No clothes iron provided in our room.

Booked an early check-in for my stay, however had to wait two hours before a room was available. I initially booked a twin room but was given a family room with a double and a single bed, whether that was because of the wait i don't know. Staff were helpful and apologetic with regards to the room and service was good overall. A lovely place to stay.

We were a bit concerned when we arrived. The receptionist was not terribly friendly nor welcoming. We wondered if we were at the wrong place. We deposited our bags in the room and headed to the dining room. We were greeted by Haley, who made up for the initial greeting we received. She was lovely and so friendly. We were treated to wonderful dinner and wine. The restaurant is lovely. At breakfast we met Meg, who was as wonderful as Haley. Check out was smooth and easy with Allanah. We will definitely return!

Great rooms ,very clean, everyone very friendly except for older blonde lady at breakfast, on the first morning a lad from overseas took us to our table , didnt explain buffet or offer us tea/coffee, the receptionist had asked me what time we d like breakfast , i told her my elderly mum wasnt great in the mornings so she told me 10.15 for breakfast , but on both mornings it appears breakfast was near over by then very little left so dont know wether she was wrong or our communication got mixed up, but still very nice and tasty what we did get , the young staff defo need MORE training in customer service and hospitality, lovely young people but need a manager/ senior to train them thoroughly, not their fault , need to be more visible in lobby for ordering and checking up on residents needing service , but over all we had a nice experience in knock hotel just needs more attention to detail

Dining service was very poorly had to wait 40 mins on eggs benedict that we had to pay for after already paying for bed and bfast and we had to send it back thebeggs werw so hard and the sauce was curdled very very poor service from chef in the kitchen and he was shouting everywhere , not very profesional

Everything was good except that there’s no air conditioning which I wasn’t aware of. However, that is not uncommon in Ireland. Given that, I thought the room rate is high. However, it’s right opposite the Basilica of Our Lady of Knock, and I guess that’s what they’re cashing in on - Location, location, location!

The staff were friendly, young and helpful. The choice of food was very good and reasonable in price. The room had everything we needed and was peaceful. Its a two minute walk to the shrine from the hotel.i dont think there is an upper floor. The area was very quiet at the time of year. The hotel is about 25 minutes from the airport by car. There is a bus service from the airport also. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Really comfortable hotel in a beautiful setting within the grounds of the basilica and shrine. Evening mass at the church. Excellent meal choices. Very friendly and professional staff. Shuttle available to train station and airport. Would definitely stay again.

I was initially given room 101. It had a terrible smell and the WiFi didn't work. The kind staff on the front desk moved me to another room on the same floor as reception. It was beautiful and the wifi worked. Very comfortable bed and the bathroom had a lovely shower. The breakfast was delicious. There was a good choice of fruits, cereals and cooked breakfast. The staff were very attentive. Although, I was in Mayo for business, I enjoyed visiting the spiritual sanctuary that is Knock. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the basilica. I found this to be a gorgeous place to walk in the early morning. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. It is the perfect base for any trip to Mayo

It is adjacent to Knock Shrine. The staff were lovely and welcoming in all areas. We were on bed and breakfast the food was lovely and plenty of choice. Would recommend highly.

The hotel room was very clean and well appointed. Because the location of the hotel is quite remote you are dependent on the restaurant for main meals. The evening meal choices were disappointing. This with not helped by the food being served on cold plates, which made the meal itself only warm at the point of service. On one occasion this was bad enough for me to return the plate to the kitchen.

The hotel is only a 3 minute walk to the Knock Shrine. The staff at the reception desk were friendly and very helpful. It is a bit of a challenge to get to this hotel because the public transportation is not reliable in Knock. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time in Knock.

Had a great stay at KNOCK HOUSE HOTEL. Conveniently located. Shrine is a hop step and jump. Enjoyed a great Irish breakfast which was included and tasted many of the Irish delicacies. Definitely recommend this hotel fir the Shrine visit. For a small charge Brendan will transfer you to and fro the Clairemorris station. Better to arrange it with the hotel.
