Such a great place!! So much history! Paul, the owner was wonderful. Very attentive. The courtyard where breakfast was served was so pretty, and breakfast was great! Definitely would return!!

The owner was wonderful and lots of stories and funny anecdotes to share. The room decorations and furnishings attempt to capture the history of the jailer, but are a little dated. Breakfast was marvelous, the outdoor pavilion beautiful. There are several restaurants and the shopping district within easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend the Jailers Inn.
The owner was wonderful and lots of stories and funny anecdotes to share. The room decorations and furnishings attempt to capture the history of the jailer, but are a little dated. Breakfast was marvelous, the outdoor pavilion beautiful. There are several restaurants and the shopping district within easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend the Jailers Inn.

Breakfast was in the back yard; the yard had several rabbits running loose, to get to the pavilion where breakfast was served you had to cross the lawn where the rabbits freely, the lawn and surrounding aeras of the yard was littered with rabbit droppings a unsanitary condition let alone an unappetizing place to be served breakfast The entire place could use a great deal of professional maintenance and general upkeep along with clean-up of the rabbit pellets

The property is beautifully maintained, the historical tales are wonderfully manifested by Paul (the proprietor), and the immersive tour was incredibly well done. You can truly feel the presence of the past in the rooms and grounds and it's obvious that this treasure is in the right hands to ensure it remains a part of legend and history.

First timebstaying at a bed and breakfast. Really cool and historical property. Host was great and gave tours ofbthe jail. Breakfast on the back patio at 9am each morning was a highlight as well. Would definitely stay again.

A very unique experience that I highly recommend if you are coming to the area. The Jailers Inn has loads of charm and history. Rooms were fabulous, spacious and nicely decorated. The staff is the best, breakfast were so yummy, and homemade . Eating was in a courtyard grotto! Watch out for Maximum Security, he’s the guard rabbit and will be your friend for blueberries! Surrounding area plenty of restaurants to walk too and shops to shop!

This was the nicest B&B I've ever stayed in. The jail tour was unique and entertaining. The room was the most comfortable room and bed that I've ever stayed in. I will certainly be back.

No water at bar/ mini kitchen sink in family suite. Faucet off?? Had to move a lamp to have lighting in that area of suite. Breakfast french toast raw dough. And served on salad plate instead of slightly larger luncheon plate. (I have same place setting/dish pattern) Not enuf coffee immediately available at breakfast table. Told by host we should have made coffee in our suite. Left an item in our room and called back to ask about it. Waiting for return call 20 hrs later. But beds very comfy. Shower great. Sitting room lovely. Ambience charming and tour interesting and fun.

Staying in an old time jail! The decor was superb - we thought our room was part of a museum. It was like stepping back in time. The rooms were spacious, the bed (and pillows) were very comfortable. A fabulous location in the heart of Bardstown meant you could walk everywhere. You could not hear any traffic from inside the rooms. The breakfast was home made and delicious. A range of breakfast food including fresh juice and fruit. You couldn’t ask for more. After breakfast all guests were given a guided tour of the jail by the very knowledgeable host. Such great stories that came alive in the telling. Highly recommend staying at the Jailers Inn

It was clean and everyone was so polite and friendly. The only negative was that there was a definite odor from cigarettes permeating into the room. Both my wife and I are allergic to tobacco smoke and there was no mistaking it. The lady at the desk gave us a bottle of room spray which helped a little but we both had stuffed sinuses each morning.

We had a fun stay at the Jailer's Inn! Location is excellent, breakfast was delicious both days we were there, SUPER comfy bed, and great tour of the jail included in stay! It was very cool - hard to believe the jail was operating til 1987, I think, not so long ago! The room we stayed in was nice, but a little musty. But overall, had everything we needed, was a good experience, would stay here again.

The room that I rented I must admit that I was informed that it was the Bare minimums no frills . I just wish I could have seen another room , or at least had a full length mirror and the bathroom was clean and updated . I LOVE MAX though

What an awesome B & B!! We had the garden suite and it was adorable. The history of the jail was very interesting and we loved the garden in the back. Breakfast in the garden was so enjoyable. The owner and family were simply so kind and helpful. I would recommend for a stay here!!

I would stay there again if I had one of the rooms that had a door on the bathroom. The inn was the perfect location in town and the breakfasts were wonderful!

This was a great trip to a great city. The service and food were very good. The rooms very comfortable and unique. The staff made every effort to make us comfortable and meet our needs. Breakfast was served alfresco with other guests. Breakfast was not just typical hotel fare. It was very delicious and a fun experience.

The folks running the In were very nice. Paul's dad joke and stories were entertaining. We stayed there on a Thursday night and the town rolled up its sidewalks pretty early. We stayed in the Victorian Room. Only two issues. While the walls are very thick and quiet, the door to the room could have been knocked door by a hyper 12 year old. Secondly, the bed mad a lot of noise (no not for the reasons many of your are thinking) just getting in or out or moving around.
The folks running the In were very nice. Paul's dad joke and stories were entertaining. We stayed there on a Thursday night and the town rolled up its sidewalks pretty early. The Jailer’s Inn is a beautiful, historic bed and breakfast in the heart of historic Bardstown!! The hospitality is bar none, the food was excellent and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! A tour of the old jail was included in the stay and was such an interesting part of history. Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Jailer’s Inn! It’s a very quirky B&B with tons of history and a very interesting back story. The staff was incredible! Quick to offer any help they could provide, answer questions and provide recommendations for the area which is easily walkable besides the distilleries on the outer portion of town. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

No water at bar/ mini kitchen sink in family suite. Faucet off?? Had to move a lamp to have lighting in that area of suite. Breakfast french toast raw dough. And served on salad plate instead of slightly larger luncheon plate. (I have same place setting/dish pattern) Not enuf coffee immediately available at breakfast table. Told by host we should have made coffee in our suite. Left an item in our room and called back to ask about it. Waiting for return call 20 hrs later. But beds very comfy. Shower great. Sitting room lovely. Ambience charming and tour interesting and fun.

I would stay there again if I had one of the rooms that had a door on the bathroom. The inn was the perfect location in town and the breakfasts were wonderful!

The owner was wonderful and lots of stories and funny anecdotes to share. The room decorations and furnishings attempt to capture the history of the jailer, but are a little dated. Breakfast was marvelous, the outdoor pavilion beautiful. There are several restaurants and the shopping district within easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend the Jailers Inn.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Jailer’s Inn! It’s a very quirky B&B with tons of history and a very interesting back story. The staff was incredible! Quick to offer any help they could provide, answer questions and provide recommendations for the area which is easily walkable besides the distilleries on the outer portion of town. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We had a fun stay at the Jailer's Inn! Location is excellent, breakfast was delicious both days we were there, SUPER comfy bed, and great tour of the jail included in stay! It was very cool - hard to believe the jail was operating til 1987, I think, not so long ago! The room we stayed in was nice, but a little musty. But overall, had everything we needed, was a good experience, would stay here again.

The folks running the In were very nice. Paul's dad joke and stories were entertaining. We stayed there on a Thursday night and the town rolled up its sidewalks pretty early. We stayed in the Victorian Room. Only two issues. While the walls are very thick and quiet, the door to the room could have been knocked door by a hyper 12 year old. Secondly, the bed mad a lot of noise (no not for the reasons many of your are thinking) just getting in or out or moving around.

Staying in an old time jail! The decor was superb - we thought our room was part of a museum. It was like stepping back in time. The rooms were spacious, the bed (and pillows) were very comfortable. A fabulous location in the heart of Bardstown meant you could walk everywhere. You could not hear any traffic from inside the rooms. The breakfast was home made and delicious. A range of breakfast food including fresh juice and fruit. You couldn’t ask for more. After breakfast all guests were given a guided tour of the jail by the very knowledgeable host. Such great stories that came alive in the telling. Highly recommend staying at the Jailers Inn

This was a great trip to a great city. The service and food were very good. The rooms very comfortable and unique. The staff made every effort to make us comfortable and meet our needs. Breakfast was served alfresco with other guests. Breakfast was not just typical hotel fare. It was very delicious and a fun experience.

Such a great place!! So much history! Paul, the owner was wonderful. Very attentive. The courtyard where breakfast was served was so pretty, and breakfast was great! Definitely would return!!

First timebstaying at a bed and breakfast. Really cool and historical property. Host was great and gave tours ofbthe jail. Breakfast on the back patio at 9am each morning was a highlight as well. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely enjoyed our four-night stay at the Jailer’s Inn—great location with several great restaurants and taverns close by. The Bourbon Trail with several world-renowned distilleries, is also close by. Paul, the owner, and all his staff were extremely welcoming. The breakfast each morning was delicious. Private parking is available too!! A definite place to enjoy Bardstown and take in the area's history. We will be back!!

From arrival to departure, it was fantastic. The staff are top tier. Anything and everything we could need they provided. Easy check in. We stayed in the jail cell room, and it was a great experience. The tour of the jail and the commentary was outstanding and comical. The breakfast included was our favorite part. It is not your basic continental breakfast. Fresh prepared food and the stuffed French toast and the eggs. I don't usually eat eggs, but I would eat them over and over. Location is everything and this property is right in the middle of all the major things you want to do and can walk to everything. We will be staying here again and again.
