Elevator not working

This hotel is right off the highway, which was the best part - other than that there is nothing good about this hotel. Very basic amenities and not well maintained. The elevator was not working during our entire stay. Facilities are not well maintained. Bad smell thought out building. Will not stay here again.

Was ok. Nothing special. No lobby, no breakfast. Room was spacious. Bed was on hard side but I like my mattress hard. Staff was helpful. Be careful google map lands you in the back of the property with no access.

The corridors smell weird. The room and the bathroom is ok. The hotel is cheap. Location and free parking are the biggest strengths of this place. You are paying for the location....!

It’s an old place, no breakfast, no real amenities outside of WiFi, but if you’re going to MetLife stadium it’s extremely close. Parking kinda sucks though

We stayed for two nights. And this hotel is not for anymore than that. The pictures are a bit deceiving as the building is NOT very clean. The rooms are fine. The elevator has been out of service for sometime, and thankfully we were on the second floor. I couldn’t imagine staying on the top floor, and having to climb/go down these dark dingy wet emergency stairs. Once in the room it was clean, and the TV was nice however the toilet leaked, and the beds are very old with little comfort. At that moment I made it a point to not spend much time there. The next day we left before 8am, and didn’t return until 1am. It is close to the city, and if you stay here go into Jersey City, park your car in Newport Centre Mall, and take the path train in. It’s very convenient, and inexpensive.

Convenient location from the Lincoln Tunnel and free parking.

WE did not like the small , noisy , dirty, really stinky fridge on #206 room, It advertises "CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST" but there is none,staff will not help You on this matter they look upset like they don't like You to be there, Our rooms where advertise as non smoking but both rooms stunk like if a hole gang of smoking bikers was just there, dirty carpet etc. You walk in and the foul smell make regret getting this deal.

Lobby , elevator and bedroom were adequate. Bathroom shower was very clean, and worked well. The bed was uncomfortable. We were disappointed the hotel photos indicated breakfast service but there was none. Traffic noise was loud (take earplugs!).

It is a filthy hotel. It had roaches in the room. Bed smell all over the property. Water drainage slowness issue in the bath tub. Creepy hotel.

The hallway stinks. The walls are very dirty when I came in the There was gum and hair all over the chairs around the microwave had crumbs the shower curtain had mold. There was white powder behind the refrigerator. I’m assuming it’s for cockroaches.

I booked room 312 at the Rodeway Inn for Friday 10/25. I was going to a concert in NYC so after checking in quickly I left. The few initial minutes I was there the room didn’t look completely awful- adequate enough just to sleep in, although it was stuffy and there was drywall dust all over the floor. After returning from the city I turned the lights on in the room and it was like Joe’s Apartment- cockroaches scattered. Taking a better look at the room I found cockroach feces ALL over the bathroom, cockroaches in the bed and in the microwave, there were even cockroaches swimming in the toilet like it was their own personal pool. After packing my things I called down to the night clerk who basically said all but “too bad there’s nothing we can do”. I drove 6 hours back home because I don’t particularly feel comfortable snuggling with cockroaches (they can carry bacteria, parasites, and diseases). I called Expedia (who I booked through) the next day and they gave me the run around as did the hotel manager, who apparently ended up declining my refund on Sunday. I then spent that whole day and night calling the hotel repeatedly- over and over and over. The next day I was finally able to speak with the manager and after explaining that the cockroaches and their bucketloads of poop weren’t advertised as being part of the room, he approved my refund. If you like stuffy, unsanitary, cockroach filled rooms with awful hotel staff in an inconvenient area- this is your place!!!

There was mold in the corners of the wall by the closet the window sills were covered in mold. The last guests wash cloth and hair were still in the bathtub. The last straw was when I saw roaches by the microwave and dresser. It was disgusting and I would never recommend this hotel.

Asked for a nonsmoking room and the entire room smelled like cigarettes. Never going back again.

When we checked into the hotel and entered our room, we immediately noticed a strong, unpleasant odor. Concerned, we inspected the bed and found a bedbug on the pillow. At that point, we left the room right away and informed the hotel staff. While they offered to move us to another room, we were extremely concerned about the risk of bringing bedbugs home with us, which could have cost us hundreds of dollars to treat. Because of this, we decided not to stay.

Insanely dirty. Whole place smelled of cigarettes. Our sheets were stained and gross. The elevator takes forever. I wouldn’t stay here again if I had to.

Walls dirty, no cups for coffee refrigerator was dirty,a live roach in the bathroom in the morning when I was getting ready to leave! Non of the outlets on the lamps worked.

The hotel itself is pretty old and a bit off putting. The room had no fire alarm (like it was taken off), the fridge sounded like it was going to explode, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and the windows had mildew. I will say that the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. Overall it did what we needed it to do, but felt a bit sketchy.

Ok but next interstate highway noise

It was a decent location. I wish the road was a 2-way street so we didn’t have to drive like 10 minutes out of the way to get home, but you can’t help that. The room was decently clean. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for sensitive sleepers as people are careless and rev their engines down the road passing the building.

I stayed at the hotel when in NYC to raise money to help active treatment cancer patients in need pay bills to prevent eviction, utility disconnect, car repos and more. Checkin process was smooth! Elevator ride was quick! Not a far distance from elevator to room! Room was clean! TV and cable worked good! Had working microwave and fridge! Water was hot! Toilet did not work properly but was fixable! (I figured out how to fix it each time it stopped working) BUT THE BEDS! I love a firm bed however these beds were HARD... I sat on bed, tried to bounce but could not. The bed reminded me of 2 box springs together. Aside from the beds, everything was great.

Not a great experience. Our room was massive so enjoyed the space, but it was hard to fully relax with the old, dirty feel. Found a small cockroach-like bug on the toilet that seemed dead when we arrived, and then two more live bugs like that later in the evening. The sign out front said "Newly Renovated" but that sign must be at least 25 years old. Carpet felt old. A lot of chipped paint. A carpet baseboard pulled off. The TV was very old and low definition. The bed was comfortable. If you stay here, ask for a room on the back side of the building. The freeway is right outside the front, so quite loud.

The rooms are satisfactory. Staff is only available in the mornings for assistance. The location is convenient, especially if you're relying on public transportation.

Positive: Spacious room. Better price in that area. Courteous staff. Location near to Manhattan city. They clean room everyday and refill the items. Negatives: Old aged furnitures and fittings. No water available even though there is vending machine it doesn't dispense anything. Cable TV quality is not good. Slow internet. No seats at front desk to sit. Fridge lights doesn't work. Most of power points are faulty and doesn't work. Bath water stucks in the tub. Small basic microwave oven. Air-conditioning is not great. Small cockroaches found in the room and toilet. Most of the front doors are not closing properly and locks and latches look like broken which can cause security threat. Overall this hotel requires complete renovation to make customers stay pleasant. Hope hotel management will take this feedback Positively and rectify these issues.

Everything is too old and broken. The bedsheets look like not clean.

They didn’t let us checking in even though I had the receipt and confirmation number, saying that we had no reservation. The lady at the front desk was so unprofessional and disrespectful. I’d give 0 stars if I could. We were left in the middle of nowhere with no Hotel at 11pm. Terrible experience.

After reading the reviews, I was nervous about booking this property, but we had a pleasant stay. The staff is NOT friendly, but the room was large and clean, the elevator works and there was plenty of parking. The Internet barely worked and the rooms are dated, but the price was good and in a location where we wanted to stay. We would stay again.

Check-in was easy, fast and simple since I prepaid for the room. The front desk staff were nice and my room was clean. The hotel needs a renovation in general but overall it was valuable in having a quiet, calm space to lay my head in overnight.

The lady that checked us in was really rude and threw the id at me under the glass cause I said I wasn't sure why she was being so rude. Then the room had a funny smell, the sheets had cigarette holes in them.

The last days I found some little bugs (cockroaches) and when I reported on 04/25/2024 the front desk lady got upset and told me that instead of complaining I should had not chosen the hotel. That I should not complain because I was paying a cheap hotel and that was part of what a cheap price brings.

For the price I was definitely happy with my stay because I was there on business so it was fitting. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Front desk agent has no training no customer service. They charged the wrong cars 3 times and telling me to wait 2 weeks for the manager to come fix it

Checkin was easy and quick. Women at the desk was very helpful to try and remedy a situation we had. Room was spacious and temperature was easily controled. Large flat screen tv was easy to operate. Not a big issue, but ice and vending machines on 1st floor were available. While we did not have a handicap accessable room, ramps and elevator are there for easy entrance to the office and upper floors. FYI you can only access this hotel from one side of the highway as we found out by using the street address, we had to get off at the next exit which was not far and make a big (2 short traffic lights) u-turn.

Friendly and helpful staff

The front seat clerk was very rude at check in. There was a pile of old abandoned room furniture outside of the door in the parking lot. Not only did my room smell it had very old furniture with paint peeling off and it smelled to the point I had to go to the store and buy air freshener.

Property within 100 ft of the highway exit, easy to miss and it is a 10 min drive to go around.

This was an OK room for a family of 4. The room was big and confortable, however, the hotel stunk of smoke and the bath was not working well. We came here for a trip to NYC, parking was free, public transit was 15min to Time Square, Cable TV was nice to finish the evening.

Good very cheap lodging close to Manhattan. Bus service 2 blocks from the hotel and straight to Times Square and subways. Much better than hostels

Nice and quiet close to everything

We had a good stay at the motel...it's not very fancy as such but it's good value for your money....if you want to spend more money on experiences in NY, this is a good place to save some money on stay. We were a family of 6, got 2 rooms for 4 days and had a comfortable stay at this motel. It's very close to the bus stop that goes directly to NY every 20mins. We had a real bad experience at Extended stay America which is close to this location, so we had to move in at a short notice. This motel manager was kind enough to let us check in early to leave our luggage in one room.

The place was not very nice and friendly, did not have no HBO and Continental bfst either , just plain and simple smell like musty cigarettes'. no for next time.

The hotel is good enough for the price that you’re paying. I was scared because of the reviews I read before but actually my stay was pretty good, my bedroom had clean towels and bed sheets, the bathroom had shampoo, soap and toilet paper, the room in general was clean. The only problem I found is that the bathroom smelled like curry sometimes, could be some problems with de duct but it wasn’t to bad. I like that bus stops were close, there was a gas station literally next to the hotel, there were a lot of restaurants near the hotel and also a CVS in case you need some medicine. I recommended it if you’re looking for a cheap comfortable hotel
