A Bed of Roses

The food was good, unfortunately there was an issue with the towels in our room, and the sheets were not the cleanest on the bed, the space was a little tight as well, I did like the bathtub with water jets…privacy was important, but the noise level in the morning being next to the kitchen wasn’t the best…

Check-in process reliant on welcome email that I did not receive (was very simple once “code” received). Good location for accessing Yosemite. Caretaker JoAnn provides an amazing breakfast at 8am. Facility is clean. However I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues. Parking can be an issue if a guest occupies more than 1 space, there are 4 rooms and 4 parking spots. You will have a bit of a drive to access food or other services.

At first, I was wary as the stairs upon entrance are steep if you have luggage. And I had high heels on! There was no one to greet me nor guide me, so it can be very confusing. But the room was flawless and I adored the rose theme. The view was excellent. The continental breakfast was perfect for preceding a day of hiking! The coffee maker was complicated for a caffeine fueled person such as me! Overall, though, this is an enchanting and charming place to stay! Kara Miller, M.A.

There was no one to greet us upon arrival. We had received a text telling us how to find and get in to the room. We entered the room to find a note on the AC saying sorry it is broken. It was a 90 degree day. We were told some one was coming to fix it and it would take an hour. We went to dinner and returned in an hour to find a hole in the wall, and hot room full of bugs, they had just finished taking out the AC.

Nice area has potential to be a nicer bnb, shower and tub where pretty gross tv remote didn’t work, had a musty mildew smell in side, outside lights didn’t work so had to navigate the deck in the dark. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great just needed a place to sleep before Yosemite

They didn’t serve breakfast 2 out of 3 days which was odd since it’s advertised as a bed and breakfast. The bathroom sink didn’t have hot water. Communication was nonexistent with the exception of written notes on the dining room table. All in all, a very disappointing stay.

Hostess was really quiet and didn’t really interact which was okay but a little uncomfortable. Liked the jetted tub. Heated by a portable heater that took a while to warm the room

When checking into our room was not ready. Bed was dirty garbage in the room shower towels were everywhere. The room was not ready for new guest to be checking in. Would never stay or book with them ever again.

we loved this place quiet,cozy clean and very quiet place we just love it . it make us feel like my house.,restroom and bed are clean.

Check in instructions were very clear, room was very clean along with the bathroom Breakfast ran little late but no big deal, if you’re staying at a place like this I don’t think your vacation has strict time restrictions

No one present on arrival. No instructions on how to get in. Finally found a number to call but room had not been made up. An hour and 10 minutes later we finally got in.

Very clean and warm. As the original owners, Josie and I were very impressed. Jo is a very welcoming caregiver. Beautiful place

Really enjoyed our visit. Our room WS spacious and comfortable. I loved that I could see the stars so well just from our windows. Breakfast was lovely and enjoyed a great visit with one of the owners who served us. Definitely recommend it and would go back.

This small BnB was a great choice. Breakfast was very good, and the day we left early they prepared a breakfast “to go”. Bed was comfortable and access to Yosemite made it a great place to stay. Great location with good views of the mountains.

We booked here for our little early Valentine’s getaway. We just wanted to get away from the city and just be by ourselves. It was great! The view was amazing and we got to watch the sunrise across the mountains right from our room. We didn’t plan on going to Yosemite so we didn’t need to have anything arrange for us. It’s quiet and very cozy feeling. Our room was perfect for our getaway. The heater worked great, the bathroom was spacious, and the beds were comfy. We didn’t stay for breakfast so I cannot comment on it. Definitely will book again! Highly recommend!

It was a bit confusing to check into.

I booked the room for the proximity to Yosemite and the promise of a delicious breakfast.The website doesn’t mention is that the only access to the rooms is via steep stairs, a problem carrying heavy suitcases.The website talks about the immediacy of Yosemite, but does not cater to hikers or even casual visitors, since breakfast is not served until 8, after which the wait to get into the park is more than an hour.We were provided an alternative - a muffin, some yogurt and a banana - but it isn’t the same.The room itself was nice. Coffee was available. To say we felt "welcome", however, would be a stretch.We arrived and pulled into the driveway of what appeared to be a home built into the side of the hill.There was no sign for check-in or reception.We climbed the stairs, where we found the front door blocked by a food delivery left outside.We rang the bell, and a woman opened the door, indicated the food, and asked “Did you deliver this?”Then she said “you can’t park there.”I said that we were trying to check in, and she asked “What room are you in?”I said we had only just arrived. She said the information would be in the email.I had not received any email from the hotel since booking, and that didn’t contain any information about check-in.In fact, I tried the day before to contact the hotel about our arrival, but had not received any response.Eventually the woman–who never identified herself–was able to verify that we did in fact have a booking, and showed us to the room.

Erick the host is a very friendly individual and a great resource for guidance on local activities, he is also a great cook my wife like his dessert. Thank you Erick for such great experience.

Undoubtedly the best stay around Yosemite. It’s just 20mins drive to the South Gate entrance from the property. Amazing breakfast served which I loved it! The rooms are kept clean and the amenities are awesome. Only drawback is there is no one to answer your questions since there is no one at the property. But we managed somehow. Overall I would rate it 9.5/10

The location of the accommodation is perfect for visiting Yosemite National Park. All-round nice stay with lunch packages.

The main reason that I took the property was it was available at a peak season for Yosemite national Park, and it was close to the park in a town that had the necessary restaurants and service stations that I needed for my visit.

Even though it was short, we had a lovely stay here. Nice breakfast and lovely room. Great location closer to the park, but not too far from town. Would definitely stay here again.

Undoubtedly the best stay around Yosemite. It’s just 20mins drive to the South Gate entrance from the property. Amazing breakfast served which I loved it! The rooms are kept clean and the amenities are awesome. Only drawback is there is no one to answer your questions since there is no one at the property. But we managed somehow. Overall I would rate it 9.5/10

AWESOME PLACE. We checked in on Thanksgiving,. late. The next morning no one was there to cook breakfast so we called and they came as soon as they could. It was the day after Thanksgiving so we understood. The next day everything was right back on schedule. Great Place. Would stay there again

Very comfortable 8" foam mattress! Excellent breakfast.

Good location to Yosemite NP. Breakfast was less than average and staff did not show up, so there wasn't a breakfast.

We booked this property for the room and breakfast. We followed their very strict rules and were down for breakfast at 8am. After waiting 20 minutes, we left and got breakfast elsewhere. So, if you are expecting breakfast at this bed and breakfast, we can tell you that it never arrived. I would not recommend. There are other great properties in Oakhurst.
