Hotels.com sucks that provided the proper location number one. I drove around the area for 90 minutes before locals told me that the hotel was on the other side of Scilla. Staff at the hotel, very sweet and friendly, room, although old, very traditional Italian, very cosy very clean!! Bathroom also very clean, breakfast was fair staff very eager to help made individual coffees as requested. Beach is like 30 m away, just around the corner from the hotel. Locals are lovely A+ Scilla is the best little town if you want to experience authentic Italy if you want the run of the tourist trap, Tropea is an option. Although lovely it’s crawling with people like ants and.Scilla is truly what I think of when I think of Italy This hotel has a great location, safe quiet everything you want

Breakfast was great. Selection of cold meats and cheese, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastries and breads. Ideally locsted for the train station and beach. Room 220 was for 4 people, one double bed and 2 singles. Right at the top of the building, in the eaves. 4 very small windows so not much natural light and no view. 1 wardrobe and one chest of drawers. Table with 4 chairs. Room was spotless, cleaned and towels changed daily. However could do with some general maintenance as air con unit was partially broken, grouting in the shower had some mould, and fridge was in poor condition.
