Le Pressoir gite de caractère en Normandie

Small country roads winding through the bocage lead you to this charming village, all in relief, with its colorful half-timbered houses and its wash house. In its heart, the Pressoir St Christophe is a true Norman postcard with its traditional half-timbered building, its apple orchard, its pastures where sheep, horses, geese and chickens roam. In this bucolic atmosphere, the Grenier is a very pleasant little cottage fitted out like a large, bright loft. Nathalie and Mathieu wanted it to be warm, respecting the character of this old outbuilding with its stone wall, its old beams and its floor tiles, with the emphasis on wood and warm colors. The decor is successful and the comfort is there! The garden will seduce you, planted with trees, with 2 terraces to fully enjoy it, one for your outdoor meals facing the village, the other under the awning on the orchard side for relaxation. Gîte arranged as a large studio on 2 levels. On the ground floor, bright and warm living room with terracotta tiles, flint wall and exposed beams: dining area, lounge (connected TV) with pellet stove and equipped kitchen. Laundry room. The spiral staircase gives access to the open floor plan, with on one side a double bed (160x200) and on the other 2 bunk beds and a desk, the 2 areas being separated by a curtain; library and board games. Shower room and separate toilet. Garden level floor with terrace and deckchairs facing the apple orchard and sheep. Leisure activities include hammock, swing, pétanque (court in the village), rackets, molkky, and visit to the house animals. A warm welcome from Nathalie and Mathieu, who will be happy to share their expertise with you (workshops by reservation only): Nathalie will show you around her soap factory, and Mathieu will tell you all about his honey production. Horseback riding is available. There is also a second gîte (studio) on the property.
