Tehinavai Bungalow: Oceanfront, sandy and coral beach, whale-watching, Moorea

We cannot rave enough about our stay here. I researched so many places and agonized a bit picking a spot in a country we had never visited before, but we felt nothing but THRILLED with our choice. Every space is even better than you can capture in a photo. The outdoor space was such a selling point for me and it was amazing. So spacious with so many places to sit and enjoy the sun or the shade. The outdoor structures can be lit up at night at the push of a button to make it functional well into the evening. With the time change we were always up early, so preferred being on this side of the island to sip our coffee and tea (provided by the amazing hosts) on the patio as the sun rose. Some great things we weren’t expecting but loved - you have a GIANT closet off the bedroom that was so nice to unpack all our gear and clothes into. The washer worked great, and the hosts provide a drying rack as well as a clothes line and clips to dry your clothes. She gave us reviews for shops and restaurants, including Moto Grill just minutes away that proved to be the best restaurant we ate at in all of French Polynesia. Although the personal bowl of poisson cru she delivered from her own kitchen blew all the restaurant versions away! We did so many excursions and snorkeling during the day, we much preferred to come home to the sound of crashing waves and the incredible privacy that came with staying on this part of Moorea.

Beautiful view of the ocean with a very welcoming vibe. Plenty of area to relax in the backyard and well thought after decors. Place is equipped with all the amenities needed to make your stay comfortable. Host is very welcoming and helped us with any n all local details. Place is very secluded for privacy and dedicated area for parking. We had a fun stay and would definitely recommend this place.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The host was amazing and the space was lovely. A slice of paradise.

Setting is incredible- the ocean and back yard are stunning. Ten minute walk to best swimming and snorkeling beach on Mo’orea.

We had a great time in the two weeks we spent there. The host was so gracious and shared some culinary dishes, lovely fresh flowers and a smile every time we saw her. Great location, close to a beautiful beach. Listening to the crashing of the waves while relaxing on a beach chair was a perfect way to spend time. Would definitely visit again!
