Nestled between the forest and the Bec Valley, beside the greenway, the former gatekeeper's house has been renovated and welcomes you for a relaxing getaway. The cottage is truly charming and welcoming, beautifully furnished and decorated in a contemporary style, and perfectly equipped. You're right on the doorstep of the stunning village of Bec Hellouin, a town of character recognized as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France: colorful half-timbered houses, narrow streets bordering lovely gardens, a wash house by the water, and of course, the famous abbey and its Saint Nicholas tower, whose gardens are perfect for a leisurely stroll. For walks, you have a choice: the forest and its trails, the greenway that connects to Le Neubourg and the Risle Valley, or the paths on the opposite side of the village that offer breathtaking views. Back at the cottage, you can enjoy the outdoors with a meal or relax in the deck chairs: a true holiday! On the ground floor: a very well-equipped kitchen with a truly comfortable dining area. Next to it is a cozy living room with a sofa area, armchair, and smart TV. A hallway with a laundry area leads to the rear courtyard and the bathroom with a large shower and toilet. Upstairs, there are two lovely bedrooms. The first bedroom has two single beds and leads to a double bedroom (160x200 cm bed) which offers a superb view of the village and Bec Hellouin Abbey. You can enjoy a front garden and a rear courtyard furnished for outdoor dining, relaxing in the sun loungers, or enjoying the fresh air; a barbecue is also provided. Approximately 150 m² of fully enclosed outdoor area is available. For games, there are pétanque balls and Swedish skittles. The GR 224 long-distance hiking trail and a greenway along the valley are located nearby. An electric vehicle charging station is 800 meters away, and bicycle rentals are available 2 km away.
