The hotel was exactly as described the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is very easy to transfer from airport or harbour by bus as it stops just across the way also handy to get around island. The only thing is it is not particularly good for anyone with mobility issues there are lots of steps and no lift to the upper floors where most of the rooms are situated. There is only one way into the hotel for reception and/or dining room if not able to manage the steps which are quite steep and that is via the rear from car park area.

Booked 3 double rooms, unfortunately at time of booking all sea view rooms were already booked. Easy check in, all 3 rooms were on top floor - 1,3 and 5. Room 3 was actually a sea view room, spacious, lovely big window overlooking the bay and decent sized bathroom. Rooms 1 and 5 were very small with the the tiniest of showers so beware anyone who is slightly larger than average! Also tiny bath towels. Room 1 overlooked the utilities area and never got a breeze so was extremely hot, also noisy at night until around midnight with locals in the public bar below. Room 5 was a bit better, got some breeze, Sea view room got a lovely breeze. Rooms not very well laid out for anyone wishing to blow dry their hair - short leads on hairdryers so couldn’t see in the mirror! Good tea and coffee making supplies in rooms, with daily refresh of biscuits, drinks and small bottled water. Bus stop right outside the hotel so convenient for getting around the island if you didn’t have a car. Car park was small and a space isn’t guaranteed, however there is a public car park around the corner so wasn’t really a problem. Although we booked room only breakfast was in fact included which was a bonus. Small boxed cereals, yogurts and a minimal fruit bowl, juices hot drinks and a choice of cooked breakfasts and yogurt/fruit bowl. Restaurant bright and spacious, stunning sea views. Excellent Hotel with lovely views to the bay & near to some great walks . Very dog friendly & room was excellent as was the breakfast which was included in the price . All the staff were wonderful, helpful & very friendly . Will go there again without hesitation .

The rooms are clean, well presented, a decent size, with a good shower and bed. TV is very small though. Location is great, especially the outside bar space on a sunny day, with fantastic views. The perfect place to stay on Guernsey! We booked a day and a half look-around on Guernsey and chose The Imperial for its location across the island from St Peter Port, to explore half one day and half the next. When we arrived, we were so glad to have lucked out with the somewhat secluded waterfront location with gorgeous view right from our room, lovely and accommodating staff and delicious meals for dinner and breakfast. The Imperial is perfect for settling in and feeling at home with generous meals and a cozy bar and public space. It feels like a home on the water but with amazingly friendly neighbors ready to help with whatever you need. We've thought of returning and staying again for the ultimate quiet getaway which is also minutes from any place you could want to visit on beautiful Guernsey.

Just the most beautiful hotel n a stunning hotel on the island. Restaurant food outstanding, views breathtaking, staff very friendly helpful, hotel inside and out first class! Very easy parking right outside or across road with disc, opposite beach and easy to find too. Price wise it’s reasonable for the island but the quality n experience is worth it!! A must stay in my book!!! This is my 3rd time here and won’t be my last! A little further out of main Guernsey but car driving easy n buses stop right outside so that isn’t a showstopper at all!!! Absolutely worth a few nights here I would recommend.

Room was clean and nice, albeit above the restaurant so slightly noisy until about 9pm. Restaurants is good. The lounge area is nice, however the staff were really busy serving both lounge and pub and this resulted in some small delay and some lack of housekeeping in the lounge area. Breakfast was good. Excellent location

Stayed one night when over on business. Had room 14 with a small balcony - side sea view. Service was very good - staff helpful and friendly. Lounge area nice to sit in the evening. Breakfast was great various options very fresh and efficient service.

The location of the property is good but the property is dated and the room was uncomfortable to stay in because it felt dirty. There were large stains on the lamp shade, the blind was dirty and looked like a child had trimmed the bottom of it. Staff were at the customer entrance in the car park smoking and swearing, which was not nice.

My stay at the Imperial was wonderful. The food was superb and the staff couldn’t have more friendly and helpful. I was made to feel very special. The bed was large and extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. In time the room needs up - dating as does the shower but I have no real complaints there. And there was a tray that not only had tea and coffee but biscuits and a chocolate drink - a lovely touch for me anyway!

When we arrived the email we received stated 1400hrs book in, we were told at reception it was wrong and it was 1500hrs book in having travelled for 7hrs by car and ferry this is not what you want to hear. The room we were given was at the very top of the hotel with two large flights of stairs to counter and no lift. The room was very small as was the shower, there were cobwebs in the corner of the ceilings and the extremely load music coming from the kitchen which after 8 hours of listening to I asked for it to be turned down or off would be better. The hotel had a public bar inside used by everyone in the area and for three nights we had two birthday parties and a hen do being held in the bar so no sleep till after midnight. We attended breakfast and was placed on a table next to the cereals and fruit where everyone had to pass us to get to them whilst we were eating, the next day we sat at a different table only to share with large cobwebs and spiders which I did point out to staff quietly, all staff members are young teenagers who have had no training in my eyes in dealing with table service or etiquette, we asked for side plates for our toast and received dinner plates. This hotel in my eyes relies on local people attending the public bar and not those staying there, there is a joining bar to the public bar for residents to use however the happy hour only applies in the public bar yet it’s the same bar. Reception is not covered throughout the day at all, not good.

The rooms are clean, well presented, a decent size, with a good shower and bed. TV is very small though. Location is great, especially the outside bar space on a sunny day, with fantastic views. Parking available outside or if busy in the street too. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Food, especially breakfast was of a high standard too. Would highly recommend.

Room was clean and nice, albeit above the restaurant so slightly noisy until about 9pm. Restaurants is good. The lounge area is nice, however the staff were really busy serving both lounge and pub and this resulted in some small delay and some lack of housekeeping in the lounge area. Breakfast was good. Excellent location

Stayed one night when over on business. Had room 14 with a small balcony - side sea view. Service was very good - staff helpful and friendly. Lounge area nice to sit in the evening. Breakfast was great various options very fresh and efficient service.

Service, attitude, food and drinks were excellent. I was only in the basic bedroom as booked last minute. So not the most comfortable but fine. Location is amazing. Quiet and great walks both directions along the coast. Will always stay here but will try to get better room when I next stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Imperial. We got a friendly welcome, by a staff who proved to be pleasant all the way, and had the opportunity to eat the *best* breakfasts we ever had in a hotel. No boring self served buffet, no bottled juice, only fresh and tasty food prepared for you on demand. Overall, the Imperial offers a very informal but qualitative experience, that we can only recommend.

When we arrived the email we received stated 1400hrs book in, we were told at reception it was wrong and it was 1500hrs book in having travelled for 7hrs by car and ferry this is not what you want to hear. The room we were given was at the very top of the hotel with two large flights of stairs to counter and no lift. The room was very small as was the shower, there were cobwebs in the corner of the ceilings and the extremely load music coming from the kitchen which after 8 hours of listening to I asked for it to be turned down or off would be better. The hotel had a public bar inside used by everyone in the area and for three nights we had two birthday parties and a hen do being held in the bar so no sleep till after midnight. We attended breakfast and was placed on a table next to the cereals and fruit where everyone had to pass us to get to them whilst we were eating, the next day we sat at a different table only to share with large cobwebs and spiders which I did point out to staff quietly, all staff members are young teenagers who have had no training in my eyes in dealing with table service or etiquette, we asked for side plates for our toast and received dinner plates. This hotel in my eyes relies on local people attending the public bar and not those staying there, there is a joining bar to the public bar for residents to use however the happy hour only applies in the public bar yet it’s the same bar. Reception is not covered throughout the day at all, not good.

The hotel is in the most beautiful spot overlooking Rocquaine Bay. Accessible walks from the hotel and bus service very good. Only 10 minutes from the airport. The perfect place to stay on Guernsey! We booked a day and a half look-around on Guernsey and chose The Imperial for its location across the island from St Peter Port, to explore half one day and half the next. When we arrived, we were so glad to have lucked out with the somewhat secluded waterfront location with gorgeous view right from our room, lovely and accommodating staff and delicious meals for dinner and breakfast. The Imperial is perfect for settling in and feeling at home with generous meals and a cozy bar and public space. It feels like a home on the water but with amazingly friendly neighbors ready to help with whatever you need. We've thought of returning and staying again for the ultimate quiet getaway which is also minutes from any place you could want to visit on beautiful Guernsey.

Just the most beautiful hotel n a stunning hotel on the island. Restaurant food outstanding, views breathtaking, staff very friendly helpful, hotel inside and out first class! Very easy parking right outside or across road with disc, opposite beach and easy to find too. Price wise it’s reasonable for the island but the quality n experience is worth it!! A must stay in my book!!! This is my 3rd time here and won’t be my last! A little further out of main Guernsey but car driving easy n buses stop right outside so that isn’t a showstopper at all!!! Absolutely worth a few nights here I would recommend.

Only a short bus ride away from the airport. We travelled by bus our entire visit, purchasing the Puffin Pass from the information counter at the airport. The bus stop is conveniently located just outside the hotel. Every morning we had a nice full english cooked breakfast which was included with the room. Staff are really friendly and helpful, would like to mention Eve, who worked the reception and also served breakfast in the mornings. She was very helpful helping us navigate the bus schedule, getting items that had been forgotten to replace in the room daily such as water & cookies, and call us a cab to airport due to issues with bus due to our departure being on a holiday may 1st. Even though she was busy getting ready to serve breakfasts Eve still managed to get us a cab. Big thankyou Eve for making our stay so pleasant. Beautiful hotel, and sea view directly accross from the ocean.

Right on a fantastic beach for swimming and next to cliffs for easy, accessible walking. There's a bus stop to take you into St Peter Port if you want to go shopping or just hop on and explore the island. The food is fantastic, the staff are all lovely and I can't wait to go back.

Beautiful spot with a great Resturant. The staff are an asset to the hotel. Service was consistently excellent. We wanted to upgrade/change our room and the staff went out of their way to try and make it happen. We went for the standard room and it was too small for us and would benefit from a new mattress and some TLC. They made note of our feedback and will look to address during their maintenance months. Unfortunately for us the hotel was full but they adjusted our bill and this allowed us to move on a day earlier.

It was a beautiful spot to stay just right opposite to the seafront and lovely sand beaches. Witnessed one of the best sunsets just outside the hotel no doubt a perfect spot for relaxing getaway. But there are few things which the hotel can improve - could be more sustainable like providing personalized ketchup jars is too much for a show when half of it might go in waste why not just keep a reusable bottle and why not keep cereal filled in containers to be used rather than giving away small boxes. Also, it would be nice if you could provide the parking clocks for sale rather than as returnable item because then it would convenient for the guests and you would not lose of money either. Few standard rooms are really small and not well placed why not display appropriate pictures of what is a standard room and provide a description of view from the said room for one to make the choice of what they want. The staff is lovely and very courteous- we enjoyed every bit of it. The menu is limited for vegetarians and vegans would suggest elaborating on it as many people are preferring it now. In summary a beautiful stay but a bit expensive for the standard room with no view outside the windows. Thank you so much!!
