We stayed at this hotel for one night in August, the room was lovely and comfortable and they were able to accommodate our 2 children on Z-Beds in the same room- this was very much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, lovely ladies serving the breakfast too. The swimming pool is such a lovely addition, heated to a nice temperature. We will definitely be coming back!

Superb hotel, friendly staff. Lovely heated pool. Lovely bedrooms, albeit dated but very comfortable bed and good night's sleep. Could upgrade tv. Wonderful food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Would definitely stay again.

Overall it was quite good except that the room was a bit small for it to be a family room for 4 as it seemed like the 2 single beds were just placed in the room wherever there was any space. The location was good and the gardens were well maintained. The breakfast was excellent.

The staff were very caring and attentive. Nothing too much trouble. Good car parking and very safe grounds. 10 minutes by road to Wroxham. All accommodation on ground floor. Staff very polite, jovial, well just great.

Unfortunately the accomodation room we were given was not what we were expecting. It was in an older building and needed updating. We informed reception of our disappointment when we left and was advised that the rooms in the main building had been recently decorated and updated which obviously were the ones we had seen on the website. However,the food was excellent,staff were very welcoming and we would stay again.

The room was very basic, the telly was very small. Shower had incorrect shower head fitting so didnt fit in the holder properly you had to stand against the wall to shower. On arrival was shown room and told how to turn heating on, thought that as it was cold that this should have been done before we arrived, as room was very cold on arrival. Breakfast was ok, coffee from the machine was terrible. However for us the staff made this place nice, Lesley who checked us in was lovely. The whole place just needs some TLC a lick of paint, some new furnishings would do it the world of good, its all just a bit tired and dated.

I couldn’t fault the service nor the food or drinks. They were definitely what made the experience more comfortable than not however when I stay in hotels I tend to look at the bathroom for the most details. The only issue I found was the shower units not being tall enough and the fact that the water run out the shower effortlessly. Other than that, I can’t fault it any other way and would happily stay there for another night or two.

Excellent staff work very hard and stretched a little thin, one person on reception covering bar and restaurant. Heaters are not sufficent for room, made it just warm even on full, room could have been warm on arrival but was fridge like

Great staff, very helpful. Good food and a fair selection of drinks at the bar. Bathroom good, with nice shower. Bedroom - good bed, thin pillows and unfortunately even thinner walls. My 'neighbours' phone was set to vibrate and I could hear it like it was next to the bed, plus every tik-tok he watched.

Had a really nice stay here. Plenty of parking beautifully lit tree at the front of the hotel. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and took me to my room just a short walk from reception. The room was spacious with a comfortable double bed. Tea coffee and water in the room. TV was a bit on the small side and no sockets next to the bed. Reception loaned me an extension lead which was good of them. Dinner was in an enormous conservatory and the sea bass was excellent. Breakfast was also served there and again service and food was pretty good. The bathroom and water pressure was 10/10. Overall excellent value for money beautiful grounds and there was even an outdoor pool which was closed for the winter season. I’d stay here again if given the opportunity.

Really welcoming arrival. On check in we were told their was a function on which would probably be causing some noise but shouldn't go on too late and we shouldn't hear it in our room. This was wrong, we heard the disco thumping away until the early hours, we could even hear the laughter and screams of the party goers. This was a stop over from a very tiring day travelling around Norfolk, we were hoping for a dinner and good night's sleep. I booked a deluxe room but it was a little tired in places, furniture tatty and stained, toilet roll needs a proper holder. The dinner did not disappoint, absolutely wonderful meal, we even booked for lunch the next day as we were visiting Wroxham nearby so wanted to come back for some more delicious food. However we were so tired we decided to cut short and not return for afternoon lunch. I have to say the gentleman who dealt with our complaint ( and that of another customer who was at the same time complaining of the same issue) showed genuine concern and understanding and agreed we should have not been given the rooms we were as it's not their policy to use these rooms when such an event is on because of the close proximity. The outcome for us was positive and we were compensated satisfactorily. Breakfast was very good. We would consider staying again if no function was on. We would definitely return just to eat in the restaurant, compliments to the chef and waiting staff. Please don't describe some rooms as deluxe though (see photos).

Second time staying, a beautiful place tucked away just outside Norwich. Staff very friendly, my room in the cottage was lovely. Breakfast was ok, with a small choice but was adequate. You can go for a walk near the hotel but it is a very busy road with no pavements so take care.

The staff were very caring and attentive. Nothing too much trouble. Good car parking and very safe grounds. 10 minutes by road to Wroxham. All accommodation on ground floor. Staff very polite, jovial, well just great.

The staff here are great, very friendly and welcoming. It is a pleasant hotel with nice, clean rooms. The grounds are well kept though there isn’t much to explore by foot nearby, particularly if you fancied a walk. The hotel is situated on a busy road with no footpath so you have to drive to get anywhere. Norwich is about 15 mins drive away and there are lots to see within 30-60 minute drive of the hotel itself. The breakfast was a highlight for us- fruit bowl is really fresh and the full English is generous and very tasty.

Had a really nice stay here. Plenty of parking beautifully lit tree at the front of the hotel. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and took me to my room just a short walk from reception. The room was spacious with a comfortable double bed. Tea coffee and water in the room. TV was a bit on the small side and no sockets next to the bed. Reception loaned me an extension lead which was good of them. Dinner was in an enormous conservatory and the sea bass was excellent. Breakfast was also served there and again service and food was pretty good. The bathroom and water pressure was 10/10. Overall excellent value for money beautiful grounds and there was even an outdoor pool which was closed for the winter season. I’d stay here again if given the opportunity.

Friendly helpful staff .only a few minutes drive to park and ride to explore Norwich .Also to drive to see some. of Norfolk broads .The road had very fast moving vehicles care was needed exiting car park .

Overall it was quite good except that the room was a bit small for it to be a family room for 4 as it seemed like the 2 single beds were just placed in the room wherever there was any space. The location was good and the gardens were well maintained. The breakfast was excellent.

Second time staying, a beautiful place tucked away just outside Norwich. Staff very friendly, my room in the cottage was lovely. Breakfast was ok, with a small choice but was adequate. You can go for a walk near the hotel but it is a very busy road with no pavements so take care.

Difficult to decide what would raise this from a 3 star to 4 star hotel apart from larger rooms, bathrooms, TV screen & extra furniture because everyhthing in the hotel was beyond what we expected. Good choice in menu (although fresh filter coffee rather than the machine Americano would have been preferable), well prepared & the portions generous. We expect to go back on another occasion.

Superb hotel, friendly staff. Lovely heated pool. Lovely bedrooms, albeit dated but very comfortable bed and good night's sleep. Could upgrade tv. Wonderful food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed my stay. Room was great, so was the bathroom. Friendly staff. Breakfast excellent. My only negative was that I would like to have eaten in the evening but the menu was very limited.

Breakfast was slow but worth the wait and a great selection of food made to order. Super friendly and informative check in. Beautiful grounds and a big plus to have a pool, although you will need your own pool towels.

Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, had a funny smell when we arrived, wasn't quite so noticeable when you'd been in there a while but we could smell it each time we went in again, couldn't find the source of it though. Breakfast was lovely, great selection, food was very nice, husband e joyed the full English cooked breakfast. Would have been nice to have a little more selection for cooked meals in the evening.

We had a lovely stay! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Great value for money, with excellent facilities. We especially loved the outdoor space and the swimming pool, which were perfect for relaxing. Would definitely stay again!
