Wir hatten 2 Zimmer direkt über der Bar. Bis diese geschlossen hat hatten wir Lärm durch Gäste bzw. Störenfriede, die von der Straße in die Bar wollten. Hier war eine Tür durch den Zaun, die nur von innen geöffnet werden konnte. Es herrschte reger Verkehr durch diese Tür und beim Schließen wurde erheblich Lärm verursacht. Nachdem die Bar geschlossen hat gab es noch weitere Lärmbelästigung durch Personen auf der Straße. Dies ist allerdings ein typisches Problem in Alice Springs…

Die exquisite zentrale Lage im CBD von Alice Springs fordert ihren Tribut. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 1.OG zur Straße, welches richtig gut groß war, einen super Blick über den zentralen Platz bot, aber im EG ist eine Bar gefühlt die einzige in der Stadt, fie zumindedtens bis 1am nachts auf hat, und dementsprechend auch jede Menge Gäste verschiedenster ethnischer Herkunft und deshalb laut etc. Aber es war ein Erlebnis wie in einem Käfig (ringsum Stahlzaun mit Spitzen über 2m hoch) sitzend zu übernachten.

This would rate as the worst hotel experience of my life. I stay in a lot of mid range hotels and pub accommodation, but this hotel was very, very bad. Checkin - arrived right on 2pm and was told that my room was not ready so I should go away and come back later. Returned around 45mins later and waited for an other 20mins while the 2 staff at checkin (who seemed to be learning the process as they went) struggled with the 8 people milling around at reception. Spent the night in room 222. This was at street level and was kept awake until after midnight by people yelling/fighting on the street directly outside my room. Woke up around 1am and felt itchy. Dismissed it at first, but eventually got up and shone a light on the bedding and discovered bed bugs. This forced me to sleep on top of the 2nd bed in my clothing for the remainder of the night. Woke up itchy and tired and went to use the kettle to make a coffee. The kettle has a white slimy substance in the base so that idea was abandoned. I’ve since spent the past 8 days on antihistamines to try to reduce the discomfort from the bed bug bites. I would not recommend this place to anyone, sleep in your car or on the riverbank instead.
