Om dette overnatningssted

Queensway QW1 is a well-presented holiday lodge resting in Southerness, Dumfries and Galloway, offering a great base for families or groups looking to explore Scotland's south-west coastline alongside nearby towns and countryside attractions. Set across one level, this lodge provides an accessible layout, with an open-plan living space at its heart, where guests can gather after a day exploring, relaxing beside the warmth of the electric fire. The sitting area offers a space to unwind in front of the Smart TV, while the kitchen is equipped with a range of appliances to assist with preparing meals throughout your stay, with the dining area providing a spot to enjoy them together. The property hosts three bedrooms, including a double with TV and two twins, offering flexibility for a variety of groups. A bathroom fitted with bath and shower over provides space to freshen up, alongside a cloakroom adding convenience. Outside, the enclosed decking with furniture offers a place to sit out and enjoy time in the fresh air, whether starting the day with a morning drink or unwinding in the evening. Off-road parking is available for ease of access. A short stroll brings you to a shop and pub, while the nearby beach is within reach for coastal walks and days by the sea. Spend time in Southerness enjoying its shoreline and lighthouse, or head to Dumfries where you can visit the Robert Burns Centre, explore Dumfries Museum, and walk along the River Nith. Alternatively, venture to Dalbeattie for forest trails, wildlife spotting, and access to Dalbeattie Forest Town, or travel to Castle Douglas, known for its independent shops, Carlingwark Loch for waterside walks, and Threave Castle, set on a river island with surrounding nature reserve. Further attractions include Caerlaverock Castle with its moated structure, Mabie Forest for outdoor adventures, and Sandyhills Beach for scenic coastal views and walking routes. Queensway QW1 provides a well-located base for discovering Dumfries and Galloway.Southerness is a small coastal village established in the late 18th century, which looks out over the Solway Firth, and forms part of the Colvend coast, one of the finest stretches of coastline on the 'Scottish Riviera'. Home to three pubs, two village stores, and two miles of sandy beaches with sand dunes, rock pools and Gulf Stream warmed waters, and one of the oldest lighthouses in Scotland, built in 1748, it has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday. The nearby Criffel Hill rises to 569m, offers wonderful views of the farmland and the sands of the Nith Estuary below, and provides great walking opportunities. The Southerness Championship Golf Course adjoins the village and offers panoramic views of the Solway Firth, the Cumbrian Lake District to the south and the Galloway Hills to the west. A great location, with something to keep everybody occupied.
