Big and beautiful room! We stayed for one night to check out Catania and it was a perfect stay. The hotel is located in the centre and easy to get to the airport or to take a bus to another Sicilian city. The gym was also a nice one.

This is my second stay at Romano House and I was very pleased to return. The staff is excellent - very helpful and friendly. Several dining options within a one block area. Best of all was the garden terrace!

they gave us separate rooms which they arranged the next day. The elevator broke and they forgot to put assign on the second floor. They only did it on the ground level.

Our experience could not have been better. We are three American Senior women and the hotel went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. All the staff was excellent, especially Giacomo at the front counter who gave us explicit instructions and directions and also Antonio the bar manager who went out of his way to make our experience extra special, even telling us about the special Prosecco.

Simply fantastic. We had a suite and it was majestic. The decor was so unique, it’s worth a mention. The breakfast was great. Their happy hour is an experience that should not be missed. We were warned about the neighborhood, so we were cautious. But again, there were so many options nearby. Absolutely fantastic experience.

Hotel moderno in una struttura più antica, con personale molto disponibile. La mia stanza era al piano terra, non particolarmente comoda come posizione e con finestre che danno sul retro dove passa o si ferma il personale di servizio. Bagno molto ampio. Camera nella norma, con spazi non troppo ampi invece. Ho usufruito della palestra che si trova su un terrazzo con ingresso dall'esterno. Piccola, e se si è più di due non ci si sta bene. Colazione ottima, internazionale, con in piu latte di mandorla, e Antonio che trattiene piacevolmente gli ospiti. Si trova in un punto da cui è possibile raggiungere il centro in P.za Università e il Parco Bellini e muoversi agevolmente con i mezzi.

Great stay in Catania here for a little winter sun. Staff were amazingly helpful, upgraded our room for free suggested nearby towns to visit. The breakfast everday was exceptional and there were no shortage of option's. The room was spacious and well maintained throughout our stay. The gym was functional (though perhaps the treadmill could do with a service)... the hotel is close to central Catania so makes the perfect base to visit the city. Would definitely stay here again and reccomend.

I stayed 5 nights and the staff were the best, very attentive and always courteous. However, the bathroom needed work - the toilet seat was loose and kept moving side-to-side and the shower water has accumulated a cruddy mold-like growth along the walls at the baseboard on the bathroom floor.

Ubicato a 600 metri dalla piazza del Duomo è in una buona posizione posizione per visitare il centro di Catania a piedi. Personale molto gentile e Colazione abbondante, stanza pulita e si vede che tutto è molto nuovo. Per contro però le stanze nn sono insonorizzate come dovrebbero, si sente tutto ciò che avviene sulla strada che di notte è molto rumorosa. Inoltre già dal pomeriggio a pochi passi dalla struttura è pieno di prostitute seduto sul marciapiede, nn credo che la zona sia pericolosa ma l'atmosfera secondo me nn è delle migliori. Infine l'aria condizionata non è regolabile dalla stanza quindi tutte le volte che vuoi aumentare o abbassare la temperatura devi chiamare la reception

Ciò che non va: - camera deluxe non rispondente alla descrizione fornita sul motore di ricerca al momento della prenotazione: assenza della vasca, bagno piccolo, accappatoio e ciabattine assenti, macchina del caffè non prevenuta e così via; - biancheria da bagno sgualcita; - servizi assicurati nella descrizione di cui sopra non forniti; - colazione sufficiente. Perché soggiornare in questa struttura? The room needs attention as the lighting was insufficient. We had a hard time seeing in the room as there wasn’t enough light available. Also, the TV remote didn’t work as the batteries were dead probably. Otherwise everything was find. Not big things but addressing these minor issues would make a big difference.

The area definitely looked unsafe, pillows sucked terribly, memory foam hard as brick!! Bed to tossed and turn all night before my leave to the airport even left 1.5 hours before my scheduled time just couldn’t sleep

The staff was very helpful, especially Martina at the front desk and the incredibly congenial bartender. The room, however, was the noisiest we’ve ever stayed in - just off the lobby - and it’s unfair to charge guests about 200€ to stay in it. Plus the lights didn’t work properly, there were no reading lamps at the bedside, no English TV stations such as BBC or CNN - all very basic and tired. When we left early for the airport there were what appeared to be prostitutes within a block of the hotel.

Our stay in Catania was great. The hotel manager went above and beyond helping us on multiple occasions. The area and views from the hotel were less than scenic but a short walk away was the dining, shopping, and historic areas. It was a little unnerving to find the hotel lobby door was locked on the inside so we could not exit without the desk clerk and his key when leaving early.

My wife and I stayed at Romano House on two occasions recently while coming/going to Sicily through Catania. Roberta checked us in both times. She was extremely gracious and helpful. She greatly simplified our travels by suggesting use of the Metro, which stops only a block away, to get to bus and train stations. The breakfast was very good. Although not located in our favorite part of the city, Romano House proved to be an excellent stay on both visits, and we would certainly return.

Our experience could not have been better. We are three American Senior women and the hotel went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. All the staff was excellent, especially Giacomo at the front counter who gave us explicit instructions and directions and also Antonio the bar manager who went out of his way to make our experience extra special, even telling us about the special Prosecco.

Clean, modern and nice hotels close to the historic district of Catania. Easy access, many attractions within walking distance. Staff were great, attentive and kind. A tour to Siracusa was sold out; however, the guy at the front desk helped me to organize a tour on my own that cost a fraction of what I would’ve paid. He printed bus schedules, and a map with the highlights I needed to see, all at my own pace.

After staying at many different properties at a similar price point around Sicily, Romano House stands out. Modern, comfortable, exceptionally helpful and accommodating staff, good breakfast selection. Small things you might take for granted elsewhere but aren't common in Sicily that made our stay better. Conveniently located in the city center as well. Recommended.

Big and beautiful room! We stayed for one night to check out Catania and it was a perfect stay. The hotel is located in the centre and easy to get to the airport or to take a bus to another Sicilian city. The gym was also a nice one.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the airport bus stop if you haven’t much baggage. It’s very close to the metro station which is one stop from the train station. This was very convenient for me since I used Catania as a base to explore Taormina and Siracusa. It is around 15 minutes walk from the duomo and main tourist sites. The restaurant behind the hotel had live music outdoors but it was quiet by 11 pm. The breakfast buffet was very good with a fine array of choices. Management was very prompt in replying to queries on WhatsApp. Highly recommended.

Ubicato a 600 metri dalla piazza del Duomo è in una buona posizione posizione per visitare il centro di Catania a piedi. Personale molto gentile e Colazione abbondante, stanza pulita e si vede che tutto è molto nuovo. Per contro però le stanze nn sono insonorizzate come dovrebbero, si sente tutto ciò che avviene sulla strada che di notte è molto rumorosa. Inoltre già dal pomeriggio a pochi passi dalla struttura è pieno di prostitute seduto sul marciapiede, nn credo che la zona sia pericolosa ma l'atmosfera secondo me nn è delle migliori. Infine l'aria condizionata non è regolabile dalla stanza quindi tutte le volte che vuoi aumentare o abbassare la temperatura devi chiamare la reception

This is a great Hotel. Good place for walking and catching a bus or train to visit out side Catania. The staff are excellent and very help full. The Hotel is 20 mins away from the Airport and the staff can arrange a taxi for 30Euros. So many local place to eat. I have said there 4 time now and will stay again.

Good location, quiet. TV takes a bit to know how to use it...it wasn't easy. Had to consult with front desk on its operation. A/C worked ok. They provided a fine breakfast with good variety. Service during breakfast was good and prompt when we needed something extra.

Great convenient location to train or shopping area, staff and service very helpful. Need to be vigilant though if you turn right. Breakfast service was particularly good. The bathrooms and other amenities are dated or need some maintenance.

Great stay in Catania here for a little winter sun. Staff were amazingly helpful, upgraded our room for free suggested nearby towns to visit. The breakfast everday was exceptional and there were no shortage of option's. The room was spacious and well maintained throughout our stay. The gym was functional (though perhaps the treadmill could do with a service)... the hotel is close to central Catania so makes the perfect base to visit the city. Would definitely stay here again and reccomend.

Overall experience was very good. The suite was unusually decorated, large and clean. It was at the front of the hotel and there was some residual noise from the street. AC was good and housekeeping was efficient. It’s in a good location for Via Etna, Piazza Duomo and other spots and very close to a host of bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful when I needed to interact with them. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not in keeping with the style or ‘sense’ of the hotel. The restaurant struggled to keep with the demand of a lot of guests having breakfast at the same time. There was very little information about the services in the hotel. Nothing in the room or advertised around the hotel. The gym was very small.
