Fantastic 6-night stay at a cute, clean, retro, and very friendly Burbank motel. Wonderful Mexican restaurant next door with delicious food and drinks, convenient parking, relaxing heated pool, and fun/quirky room decor cemented the Tangerine as our new go-to accommodations when visiting the LA/Hollywood area!

This hotel is really cute! The staff were all top notch. I wasn't super thrilled with the parking situation (an alley behind the hotel), but the staff assured me the whole area was covered with security cameras and no one bothered my car overnight. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Very convenient location and great Mexican restaurant literally next door. A lot of eatery and places to explore within walking distance or short drive. Front hotel parking lot is small, i do not recommend for large cars, you’ll be squeezing yourself out the door to not hit the one parked next to you. BUT, there is plenty of parking on street and back of hotel that has cameras. :) free daily coffee and pastries from Home boy bakery was nice. Rooms are clean, bedding covers could be better :/ staff are friendly and attentive. The neighborhood is good despite the hotel being on a busy street it was quiet. Pool is nice and small I didn’t try it but I was told it was heated which is always nice. Overall I liked it and will stay again and recommend.

Customer service was excellent, pastries delicious, but the rooms need to be deep cleaned more often. I have serious Asthma and allergies, it was dusty, and the carpet was dirty. I had serious problems with coughing and choking from the dustiness. The staff was friendly and helpful, but I would not stay there again. It was not good for someone who has allergies or Asthma. Please clean the rooms more thoroughly

A less sleezy motel 6. Faint smell of urine but otherwise clean. Bed felt hard and cheap. Breakfast was a tray of pastries. Stars are because those were deli's. Parking was easily accessible although we did have to park on the street one night. Staff was pleasant sans one very sassy man at reception. Wouldnt stay here again or recommend it but i didnt leave as soon as i entered and i think that should count for something!

This was our first stay of many during our trip and was the best,from the minute we were checked in by Donovan I knew this place was special.Staff,and it didn't matter who was on front desk were kind and friendly,the rooms were older but well kept and the pastries and endless coffee at breakfast a nice touch.Situated in a lovely safe neighbourhood and walking distance to many eateries the Tangerine is a gem.Thank you to the whole team for a great stay.

Office staff were warm and welcoming. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Nearby restaurants and warm pool were a plus. Safe environment was important for me traveling with my young granddaughter and we never felt unsafe. This will be my “go to” hotel when I’m in this area from now on.

The bed we had was a bit lumpy The water pressure could have been better and the place only had about 5 parking spaces and the rest where behind the hotel in the alley. But other than that, check in was fast & easy, i heard no traffic noise, staff was nice and they had really good pastries in the AM.

Motel style hotel that has been refurbished to a high standard. Bathroom was very small though. Had a 2 queen bed room on upper floor which had comfy beds. Air conditioning unit a little noisy. There is a coffee machine in reception that provides complimentary coffee and hot chocolate for guests. Coffee was excellent. Also pastries available for free to guests 7-11 daily. These were lovely also! There is a small heated pool which my children enjoyed using. Towels are available for free from reception for the pool also. Amazing Mexican next door as well as lots of nice coffee shops and bakeries a little further down the road. Would stay here again!

Hotel was fine, room seemed clean. Sound proofing between rooms was good, as our kids were watching TV loudly and we couldn't hear it next door. Shower water pressure was awful, toilet paper was thin and shredded easily. The toilet is crammed between the shower and sink, very claustrophobic and you touch the toilet bowl with your legs after you shower or when brushing teeth and it's nasty. Coffee machine was great, morning pastries were a nice touch. My family used the pool but I didn't, it's right in the middle of the parking lot and center of the motel which I found exposed but may not bother others. Manager/owner was very nice during check in and out. The location has lots of places to walk to for food and felt safe - wide sidewalks and well maintained area.

The walls were so paper thin that it was very loud from above, next to and outside of the room. Most of the electric outlets did not work so that was very inconvenient. The location was great. The people at the front desk were kind and hospitable but it wasn't enough to make up for the noise issue and hard as a rock bed.

The only things that kept it from being a five star hotel was that we couldn’t get the room cool and the water pressure was really low. The people were fabulous. The bedding was amazing if we could’ve just cooled off it would’ve been perfect.

The staff at Tangerine were really exceptional. Shoutout to Michael at front desk. Better than average coffee in the lobby, really comfortable bed, on-site parking. They have a continental breakfast from a local bakery, that had a nice selection, but honestly a bit disappointing as far as quality, but certainly not a deal breaker. Would definitely return.

They didn’t serve breakfast but they did have very good pastries and a coffee machine that served all kinds of hot drinks. I personally loved it! The room was very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The area is super nice and calm. There are a lot of restaurants around. Staff was super nice. Highly recommend and will stay there again.

Office staff were warm and welcoming. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Nearby restaurants and warm pool were a plus. Safe environment was important for me traveling with my young granddaughter and we never felt unsafe. This will be my “go to” hotel when I’m in this area from now on.

I absolutely loved our stay at The Tangerine! Great location in a quiet area of Burbank that was within walking distance to the attractions (Warner Bros Studio, etc) that we had tickets for. It is a short drive to Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The staff was friendly and hospitable. Would stay there again and would highly recommend!

We had a great stay! Walking distance to lots of good restaurants. Super convenient getting to Universal, and Burbank airport. Clean rooms. Good coffee and pastries in the morning. Very nice staff. We’d definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a hidden gem - we loved our stay here, it’s so much nicer than Hollywood. Great modern decor and a really cool vibe about the place. Super close to WB and Universal and great dining options all around. Definitely stay here again for sure!

We only stayed one night but we will come back for sure. Great, walkable neighborhood with boutique coffee houses, great restaurants minutes away by foot. The pool is small but clean and invitinf after a long day sightseeing. Very close to Universal Studios by car. The front desk experience is top notch and very welcoming.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at for the price. Staff was very friendly and a lot of locals places to get food and coffee. Only complaints I have are just minor things like parking was a pain also the water pressure was very low and the breakfast was a joke I’ll definitely recommend planning on getting breakfast from a local restaurant.

They didn’t serve breakfast but they did have very good pastries and a coffee machine that served all kinds of hot drinks. I personally loved it! The room was very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The area is super nice and calm. There are a lot of restaurants around. Staff was super nice. Highly recommend and will stay there again.

Perfect and save area in LA. Close to Griffith Observatory and Hollywood. Universal is only 10 minutes drive. Coffe all day. Breakfast was only sweet pastry to take away but it was really tasty and still enough to choose from. Receptionist Michael was really nice and funny guy.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean, bathroom was TINY- large enough for one person. In the morning I was looking forward to breakfast that was advertised but but what a shock to find only one plate of pastries. Not a single piece of fruit, not a single yougart or protein. That was a disappointment when you consider the price of the room. Most of the reviews for this place are fake!

The front office was very nice check in was very easy the hotel is very clean. They are not close walking distance to Universal Studios like it says on several online sources and parking is very tight but available. They have an instant coffee machine in the lobby and put out trays with basic pastries each morning.

She recommended Don Cuco’ Mexican restaurant next door….I am picky about Mexican food and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! The hotel is simple, clean, and gives a nostalgic Hollywood feel. It is nicely located with several food and coffee options in walking distance. Coffee/latte/tea available free 24 hours. LOVE that they offer Homeboy Bakery pastries every morning for free. I love supporting organizations that are doing good work to lift up others that need a helping hand. And am happy when I see other business, supporting the same causes, spreading the good work! Thank you for a quick get-a-way! By the way, if your trip includes Universal Studios. Uber ride is about 10 minutes and drops you in the preferred parking lot…very close to front gate. Much more affordable than paying for preferred parking!

Great location, front desk are super friendly and helpful. Made it a point to say the area was safe to walk the neighborhood and I agree. I was out at night at 1030pm getting ice and talking to the front desk, parking lot and walk ways well lite. Coffee and tea in the front desk was a perfect match to morning pasteries. Had good sleep, did not hear neighbors or traffic. AC worked great on a 100 weekend. Will be back.
