This hotel has just reopened after closing in 1981. They did a nice job rehabbing the property, yet it didn’t have the new paint smell. The one bedroom suite was a decent size and fairly comfortable. Location right downtown on the square was nice.

Beautiful boutique hotel with interesting history all around the lobby. The hotel just recently re-opened. It smells fresh and clean. Check-in was easy. This was the first stay I've had where the front desk attendant sent a link to my phone so I could use my phone to unlock doors around the building including the door to my room. The hallways to the rooms smell of fresh lavender. There was a water bottle refill station across from our room, and inside our room was a cute basket with a cozy blanket. They had great choices for tea in the room, which as a tea drinker, this was a major bonus for me. The whole place felt like modern chic meets the charm of the past, with the bonus of close access to the best parts of Monroe. Highly recommended!
