The sliding door and screen to the outside patio area was in need of a good washing it hasn’t seen for quite some time. Room was large and clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable.

Our experience here was unfortunately subpar at best. This review is more directed towards any room with the in room spa/jetted tub amenity. It is certainly not worth the $150 price point, and had we knew, would’ve went with a cheaper option. We arrived late and the first room we got into did not have a functional tub. After filling up the tub and failing getting it to work after some time, we got switched to another room that had a functional one (or so we thought). The gentleman that facilitated the room change was very accommodating, however he didn’t have any knowledge of how to get the tubs to work either. Trying to get the tub to work before we went to bed did not work in the new room. Instead it just activated the tub, which made loud noises the whole night, without actually having the jets work. Instead of addressing this issue we tried getting some sleep as we had already spent enough time with the staff and had a long day of travel ahead. In the morning the tub was still on, buzzing from the night before. This time we were able to fill it up above the jets without making a mess and it did work as intended, briefly. The jets would not turn off, and as we tried draining the water, it began spraying water everywhere to where it actually started flooding the room. We cleaned up the water and were ready to leave. We did address the issue at checkout, but did not have time to dispute it further. Their response at the time implied that this happened often.

We stayed at Baymont as there were not many motels/hotels to choose from. It had a 75% rating and we are flexible so it seemed a good enough place to stay. The staff seem to be good hearted people who care. When we walked into the room we instantly smelled a strong mustiness. This was at 4pm. The young woman at the desk came and suggested we keep the window open (it was hot and muggy) and run the air conditioner as all the rooms were similar as to mustiness. We came back at 9 and it was the same. We thought we could get through the night. In the morning my sinuses were reacting badly so we went to the front desk and the young man said he could help. He showed us a room that was much better. What a relief since it was a two night stay. Even though the first room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast adequate, we gave this a 2 star because the essential air quality is too important and the inability to take care of this the night before was overwhelming.
