Great location, clean, comfortable and delicious breakfast! Owner, John, gave us a complete tour of everything available in our room and the area. Great room with fireplace in sitting area, comfortable beds and kitchenette. Small town with shops, great bookstore, and restaurant within walking distance. Grounds look like they would be beautiful in spring, summer...we were there in January. Highly recommend.

Shaker Mill is a wonderful B&B experience. Our therapy dog was greeted like a member of the family and was provided with his own basket of towels, treats and dishes. The Garden Room - where we stayed - had its own entrance, complete with private porch. Excellence from start to finish!

The hospitality and attentiveness was outstanding. Both John and his wife Patti were there for any needs we had. I had by accident via Expedia set my arrival date for a day later than we arrived. When we got to Shaker I discovered this. John accommodated us nevertheless. The grounds were great and the morning breakfast was welcoming.

This is a lovely place to say. Very warm and welcoming. The staff was very helpful and even brought a little doggy basket for my dog. It included a blanket, dog bowls treats and more!! Had a very very nice time.

Self check in which was different but easy. Very port friendly and welcoming. Dog supplies for free given. Cozy room with gas fireplace in the Clark room. Clean and a piece of history here and Berkshires. Will come back in the summer

We felt like the place was all our own. From the en suite breakfast to our private deck, we felt right at home immediately and had a lovely weekend stay. The surrounding mountains and quaint New England mill town were off-the-charts charming. Our inn keepers were just a phone call away when we had a request. Everything was immaculately clean and extremely well maintained (I'm a handyman at heart). I can't wait for you to stay here- it's minutes away from Stockbridge, Lennox, Great Barrington and even a nice drive to Greylock and beyond. Such a beautiful part of Massachusetts. Be sure to stay here!

This is an extremely well run inn. We especially appreciated all the extra touches: kitchenette; breakfast placed in refrigerator the night before with microwave/toaster oven to warm it the next morning; bathrobes; safety handles on shower and gas fireplace for instant warmth (supplementing a good HVAC system). W. Stockbridge, though lesser known among south country communities, has some gems: fabulous bookstore, exceptional coffee house, sculpture garden, solid Italian restaurant less than a block form the inn and a general store with excellent sandwiches.

I enjoyed my stay in The Clark Suite. Very easy check in and helpful staff. West Stockbridge is a quaint town, easy to walk about and wonderful dinner/ice cream options. The Shaker Inn provided Gluten Free options for breakfast including fresh oj, fruit and great coffee. The room/bathroom were immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This hotel room seems like it was decorated in the 80’s! Super out of date kitsch everywhere. Tiny TV, no channels, dirty bathroom floor. Check in was lucky as I happened to notice an envelope with my name on it while I was on the phone for service with no answer.

The room was nice but the bed and pillows were uncomfortable and hard. We thought when breakfast was included it would be delivered to our room or there would be a buffet option. It was just egg sandwiches in the fridge. No staff were on the property we had called and no one had answered. The town was nice at least.

We had the catamount room. It was spacious, clean, and quiet. A very nice selection of pastries for the continental breakfast. The owner greeted us and was very friendly. The room had local artwork for sale, and a number of other little themed items, e.g., mugs for sale also. It was very convenient to Tanglewood where we had come for a show and we will definitely be back.

Very nice place. Clean and extreme attention to detail which is unusual in a place like this. Will definitely come back. We don't come to the Berkshires to watch TV but we did want to watch the college football game late Sat night. The TV in the room is very small but adequate.

The staff was so inviting and friendly, like old friends. The room was extremely spacious and clean. The in room breakfast was amazing with fresh oj. And milk in the fridge, and fresh ground coffee waiting on the counter. Pastries and fixin's waiting to be brought out of our slider doors onto our own patio with table and chairs. Peace, quiet and fresh air surrounded us outside, while the quaint fireplace took the morning chill out of the room inside. This was my first stay here and i will definitely be coming back. It was very convenient to the town center, where main street shopping at the general store and old records shop was a morning highlight. Thanks Shaker inn, see you soon.

Overall we were happy and chose to ignore the mold in the yogurt and the lack of cleaning services. What really prompted this review is that we left an article in the room and it went missing by cleaning staff.

The Continental breakfast exceeded my expectations, fresh pastries, fruit, cereal, and much more was included. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. My 2 small dogs were very comfortable there too. John and Patti were very accomodating and friendly.

I enjoyed my stay in The Clark Suite. Very easy check in and helpful staff. West Stockbridge is a quaint town, easy to walk about and wonderful dinner/ice cream options. Lovely stay. The owner was very personable and helpful. The room had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. The inn is also close to Kripalu, the Norman Rockwell museum, and the botanical gardens. The area is absolutely beautiful to drive through and explore. We would definitely stay here again.

We felt like the place was all our own. From the en suite breakfast to our private deck, we felt right at home immediately and had a lovely weekend stay. The surrounding mountains and quaint New England mill town were off-the-charts charming. Our inn keepers were just a phone call away when we had a request. Everything was immaculately clean and extremely well maintained (I'm a handyman at heart). I can't wait for you to stay here- it's minutes away from Stockbridge, Lennox, Great Barrington and even a nice drive to Greylock and beyond. Such a beautiful part of Massachusetts. Be sure to stay here!

The room was nice but the bed and pillows were uncomfortable and hard. We thought when breakfast was included it would be delivered to our room or there would be a buffet option. It was just egg sandwiches in the fridge. No staff were on the property we had called and no one had answered. The town was nice at least.

Great location, clean, comfortable and delicious breakfast! Owner, John, gave us a complete tour of everything available in our room and the area. Great room with fireplace in sitting area, comfortable beds and kitchenette. Small town with shops, great bookstore, and restaurant within walking distance. Grounds look like they would be beautiful in spring, summer...we were there in January. Highly recommend.

Very cute and clean room. After driving all day we were so happy to see all muffins, scones, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, strawberries, milk, OJ, hot chocolate and coffee already in the room for breakfast the next day. We had a great stay, thank you!

The inn was quaint and the room was as I expected, with the exception of the side door that would not lock. If they had simply not bothered to serve breakfast, this review would be much better. However, the breakfast was inedibly bad - from the overly pasteurized OJ, to the horribly weak decaf coffee, to the overly sugared pastries... nothing was edible.

We love the location and the lay out, and were happy with the no-fuss self check in. They advertised that breakfast was included and we were a little put off to have plastic wrapped donut, bagel & muffin and then found an asparagas piece of quich for each in the fridge which was meh Maybe have choices on the reservation form.

The Continental breakfast exceeded my expectations, fresh pastries, fruit, cereal, and much more was included. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. My 2 small dogs were very comfortable there too. John and Patti were very accomodating and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at Shaker Mill Inn. The location was near everything we wanted to do. They gave us a continental breakfast and coffee in the room. The only thing that needs improvement are new pillows which were old and flat. Would stay there again.

Check-in could not have been easier, and it was clear that staff is dedicated to having a clean, today environment. Our room, with 2 full beds, was very spacious, and the grounds were nicely landscaped and maintained. The accommodations are rustic , but the management provides a thoughtful array of touches to make the stay comfortable. There are Continental breakfast items left in the rooms for the next day. Although considerate, this was not my favorite part of the package. I would have preferred something more freshly crafted, maybe involving a local cafe/bakery. We were grateful for the partnership with the restaurant across the street for a great Italian meal.

Although the decor is outdated, this inn is lovely and clean. The Honeymoon Suite room was unique and spacious. The in-room breakfast was very nice, as was the private patio overlooking a shared yard with plenty of seating. Room and patio felt quite private. Good location in the Berkshires.
