Absolutely incredible location and stay. The staff, food, room, property were outstanding. We highly recommend staying here. Complimentary bicycles make for great adventures around the area. Free shuttle service too. Complimentary wine tasting steps away from this location. Incredible atmosphere and very welcoming!

Beautiful hotel facing vineyards. We were upgraded to a Superior room for no charge which was great. Room was large and comfortable with views out over one of the vineyards. We had a drink at the bar in the evening and breakfast on the day that we checked-out. Food and service are excellent. Only issue that we had was charging my EV. Previously I was told to park next to a 110V outlet and plug-in there. The outlet was not working, but the other outlet was working but occupied by another EV which was charging. I reported this to the Receptionist who told me that people were using these power outlets without asking, and that the breaker had tripped. She did not have the authority to reset the breaker. Really for a luxury hotel charging $300 per night, they should have Level 2 Wall Connectors specifically for charging EV's. Many other hotels in NOTL have these. This is really putting me off staying at this hotel in future. The Receptionist at check-out said that they had had the comment about no facility to charge EV's many times before and that they are considering it. I mentioned that a Tesla Universal Wall Connector will charge all Tesla cars as well as other EV's using the J1772 connector. This is what we have in our garage and they charge to 11.5kW power. This is what they need and I would expect them to have 2-3 of these installed.

All staff were personable and welcoming. They serviced our needs exceptionally well. We enjoyed having the girls shuttle us to wineries and around town. We absolutely loved and will stay at Riverbend Inn again!

Beautiful venue in a lovely part of Canada! Lovely room with gorgeous antique furniture and well kept grounds. Loved all the wineries/breweries/dictionaries in the area! My only complaint was that there wasnompatking for an electric vehicle!

The location is very peaceful and quiet. We love that you can walk or bike to town, but you're away from the busy streets. It would be nice, however, to have access to water or beverages while you're at this property. The only thing to drink is wine, so bring your sodas and bottled water with you as they only clean the rooms and replenish the water (which you also need for the coffee maker) every three days. The price is also very steep - much higher than it used to be, and, in the past, they provided free breakfast and wine to take home upon check out, but that is no longer the case. The restaurant is also closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so there is no food/bar service whatsoever on those days, and that means you have to drive into town. Overall, we would still recommend the Riverbend.

We had a lovely one night stay and everything was perfect! Definetly will be back. We especially enjoyed the shuttle service to and from the hotel to Peller Estates in the golf cart...lol! So much fun.

Beautiful Inn! Quiet place to stay, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Very close to Niagara on the lake, lovely town! Used the bikes that are provided to bike all over. It was wonderful! Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

A very beautiful, quaint, stately hotel, with old-world charm out the wazoo. Great location for visiting winery\'s in the area, and a short drive to Queen St. for shopping. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious at reasonable hotel prices, and afternoon cocktails were yummy on the outdoor terrace overlooking the vineyard. A few minor things could be improved: 1) the bar closed around 9:30-10 PM, so no nightcaps or bar snacks to be had at that time. 2) Air conditioning in our room "The Merlot" was weak, and we had to borrow a fan from the front desk to make the room tolerable and 3) The TV needs an upgrade...it was the size of an average computer monitor, and a room that size needs 40" at least. An 8/10 for the overall experience.

STAFF was outstanding, Laura the intern could not have been more helpful, Jennifer, Joan and Joseph were wonderful. Having the Inn's fully loaded Lincoln Navigator for 6 of us to get to town and the bikes were handy too. Coffee downstairs every morning until restaurant opended very handy. Only thought was a small refrigerator would be nice.

It was a nice stay, but nothing special this time around. Normally our stays are at the ‘great’ level but just felt something was lacking this particular visit especially given I had mentioned the stay was for my wife’s birthday. In addition, the floor in the room appeared to not have been cleaned properly which was a bit surprising. Plan to go back in future, but hoping for an improvement next time around.

The room was nice and spacious, but lacked outlets and a desk would also have been nice. Unfortunately everything in the room had a layer of dust. The sheets had stains. The facecloths had holes. At some point someone dropped a liquid on the wall and it was never cleaned. As reviews for this property are generally good, I’m hoping that this was due to the slow season and the room had not been checked prior to us checking in.

I love that it was a boutique hotel and the room was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately rhe AC was leaking water and dripping inro the a bucket the 2 nights. The coffee maker had old coffee pods in it. We were not offered a different room.

We have stayed several times at this property and never had a problem with noise. This time, however, we were upgraded (without being asked) to the "honeymoon suite" (Rm 219). It is located above the kitchen and there was a constant, loud rumbling noise from the exhaust fans. We complained and were told to keep the doors to the closet and bathroom closed but it didn\'t help. Then we were told we could have a complimentary breakfast but we just wanted peace and quiet and finally agreed to move to a smaller room (smaller than the one we had already paid for). We enjoyed the remainder of our stay but would certainly warn others to never book Rm 219 (unless you are not bothered by loud noise).

It was pouring rain all week. No valet. We went in and registered. We could not crack a smile out of the 3 person at front desk. We asked where the elevators were. We got a dry “ we don’t have one” we asked if someone could help with our suitcases. “No”. That did not started our journey too well. We climbed to the top floor which was the 3 floor (we are in our seventy) was not easy to bring all our suitcases up. The room and bathroom were nice. The problem came at night. We could hear voices, tv and people walking around us quite loudly until around midnight. We told the front desk guy and the answer again without a smile “It’s an old house”. We are light eaters in the morning. Their breakfast were huge. They did not have much choices for us who like fruits, toasts, yogurt and oatmeal type of breakfast I asked if I could have just toast and berries. She came back with plain white toast slammed with butter and peanut butter Kraft on the side. Coffee was good. The young lady was sweet she said “it’s the only thing I could find for you”. Overall stay,,, not good for us.

Property is absolutely gorgeous and kept meticulously maintained. Rachel who works the front desk is an absolute treasure! Polite, efficient, knowledgeable and so hard working! She ensured everything was absolutely perfect. All the staff were wonderful. I’d stay again and again! Thank you everyone at Riverbend Inn for a lovely experience.

I booked this with my siblings for our mom to get away with a friend and celebrate her 70th bday. From the moment of booking and calling to inquire about the stay for her, the staff have been incredible! They even called my the day of to confirm they’d arrived ok and set them up with a bday beverage on the patio. They helped us arrange a shuttle and dinner plans, and have shown such care and class the whole way. Amazing property and staff!!!

May 2024 - The staff was professional and welcoming. The place is very quiet and the rooms are so nice! Easy free parking right in front of the hotel. The terrasse was lovely and the food is truly amazing. Walkable distance from Peller estates.

We will definitely stay again @ Riverbend as we were very impressed with the property and quality of the hotel. Having said that, the restaurant is not up to the quality that those staying at the hotel would expect. It was substandard food. We had dined at the restaurant in past years and at that time it was an impeccable dining experience. It no longer is. Hopefully adjustments are made such that the dining experience matches the excellent hotel experience.

We were impressed from the moment we got to the hotel with the grounds and building. The beautiful rooms with a fireplace is so romantic. The dining room is lovely and we enjoyed some wine and cheese before checking in, we will definitely be back!
