The reviews suggested by many others that the breakfast was a highlight of the experience. Although there was nothing wrong with the breakfast, I found it to be the standard self-serve bare-minimum of cold cereal or hot-cereal premix packs, store-bought waffle mix, hard-boiled egg, toast/bagel/muffin plus apple/orange juice and apple/banana fruit. There was friendly on-site staff to assist or replenish any empty containers. Again, anyone looking for a truly enjoyable breakfast experience as part of their stay here may need to lower their expectations. Otherwise, this place serves it's purpose well, as a basic, clean, original or authentic vermont-style road-trip accomodation

My wife and I aren't clean freaks but this place was filthy. It lacked basic cleanliness. There was black colored mold all over the ceiling of the bathroom and thicker mold along the top of the door frame. The blinds had caked dust all over them and it appeared that the whole place hadn't been dusted in a very long time. The freezer was so frozen over we had no room for our items and there was sticky liquid all on the inside of the refrigerator. We didn't want to stay there a 2nd night and tried to get a refund or even pay a penalty for canceling but the owner said, no. I don't know why I would ever stay there again or even recommend it to someone else. The reviews were very inaccurate. I don't know why, but our room wasn't anywhere close to what the reviews said.

Erin was amazing helpful and makes an awesome breakfast. Fiercely dog, friendly atmosphere and the common areas make it feel more like a community than a cookie cutter motel. Each room seems to be unique and you feel like you’re in an updated 1940s movie. The Location is stunning We will definitely be back River loved his visit

The hotel was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the large community room was lovely. The inn is a bit old with quirky slanted floors and doors that stick, but overall a nice experience

Good for a nights stay. Could have been cleaner in the bathroom and we had issues with the AC but the owner moved our room. Breakfast was good. Overall good value stay.
