Hotel Villa Piras

Stort och trecligt rum, bra belysning, vänlig personal i receptionen. Vi hade inte behov av parkeringen, fanns plats på gatan, men vi var ju out of season.

Bra läge med gångavstånd till gamla stan som var trevlig att gå i på kvällen och många trevliga restauranger. Vi parkerade på gatan men biev erbjudna att parkera i deras parkeringshus som låg nära för 10 euro. Hon var osäker på om det var tillåtet att stå där vi parkerat. Vi försökte parkera i p-huset men helt omöjligt då det var mycket trångt och vi hade ändå en liten bil. Fint rum med stor balkong med utsikt mot havet dock en bilväg nedanför. Fanns en klippig strand nära men massor av illaluktande tång. Gick en bit mot gamla stan och hittade en liten sandstrand som var helt ok att ligga på några timmar på kvällen. God frukost och inte så mycket folk. Bra service och gott kaffe! Många sorters kakor så klart! Hårda sängar men är ju vanligt i Italien. Helt ok hotel för en natt!

One night stay with family. Second time I was at this hotel but have stayed at many other hotels in Alghero prior to this one. I would characterise this hotel as probably the best option in central Alghero for those who are budget conscious. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and big enough, quiet hotel at night. Those who have shallow sleep like me will appreciate the shutters, which are very effective to keep out the morning sunlight. There is a bit to walk to get to where the movida is (piazza sulis and beyond) but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Breakfast is where I see room for improvement: options are limited and the breakfast room is rather tiny. It works for one night stays but may negatively affect the hotel experience for those staying for longer.
