Location of the hotel is in prime position, close to fast food places, town pool, a pub and not far from shopping district. We stay for the day on the green so getting to Bimbadgen estate was virtually out the road. Awesome location. Room was ok for our needs. Bed was very soft. Bed head was stained and so was the carpet, very badly. Air conditioner was amazing. Shower amazing with hot hot water and pressure. Car parks a nightmare. Small and not numbered. We were in room 7 so down the back in the corner. We parked close to our room but when we went out and came back our park was taken. Price was ok i thought until i seen the room. For the condition of the room i thought it should have been cheaper $240 a night bit pricey.

In convenient position, pool looked good. The shower in the room was a bit grotty but the rest of the room was clean. The kettle was broken, tried to call reception but the phone was also broken. Housekeeping provided a 2nd kettle, which was also broken!

Good option for family stay, convenient and the pool was perfect. I forgot to bring my charger and the cleaners helped loan me one for the stay. The place is a little worn down but location and overall experience was great value.

We really enjoyed the room. The bed was very comfy and the shower was really good too (best one yet this holiday!). Definitely recommend this place. The pool also looked really nice but we didn’t have a chance to dive in since we left early in the morning. The kids seemed they had lots of fun though.

Check in was convenient, staff helpful, room was ok. Clean enough but dust and dirt in corners, mould in shower grout on wall. Lacking of PowerPoints to plug in phones. A PowerPoint was located behind a large bed head, difficult to access. Exhaust fan in bathroom choc with dust and switch needs replacing. Handle on furniture broken off and dangling. Bathroom good size, spa bath not used. Parking quite tight for 4WD or longer vehicles. With a bit of attention to detail this property could be nicer. Would return if in the area for work again, if price right.

Enjoyed the limited amount of rooms and parking area although it can be tricky getting in and out with larger cars. The daily clean of the room was nice as well. The noise however from other rooms and the main road can take some getting use to.

I cant speak for the other rooms, but my room, the air vent in the bathroom was not working, the blind had been torn of the roller and the roller was still there but there were block out curtains, and the carpet was stained. On a positive, the bed was soft and very comfortable, the tea and coffee facilities were good, and over all, the place was clean. So I guess it equals out. The room served its purpose.

First impressions the room looked and smelt very clean. The only thing I could say that could improve was staff as they seemed shy and not the normal bubbly and enthusiastic front of house that you’d expect. I wouldn’t say this was a negative as they were polite and got the job done they just didn’t have that infectious happiness that many other places do.

The property is old and run down and not what we expected in all honesty. There was multiple dead bugs in our bathroom area and the bedroom looks nothing like the photograph listed upon booking. Wouldn’t recommend for people who are drawn towards more modern and clean places to stay.

There was nothing grossly wrong with this place. Everything was there and was working and it was clean. it was just old and rundown and on a very busy road. The reception guy did not understand how an Expedia booking worked and badgered us to pay upfront. This was only resolved after he consulted a colleague but he spoke to them in a foreign language which was unpleasant.

I stayed in room 8. I was a little disappointed in my stay for a few reasons. Firstly, the photo did not resemble my room at all (and yes it was the same room I booked/viewed online), there were numerous stains throughout the carpet area and bed head, my fridge did not work - in fact, it froze everything I had in there (fruit, milk etc), my toilet kept blocking upon a full flush, my shower door slid off the tracks, there was water on the carpet backing onto the shower side wall which caused the floor to recede, and my bed had so many loose springs in it that it was not fit for any back to sleep in, nor did I have enough blankets to keep myself warm. Considering the price I paid for 2 nights, I would have been better sleeping on a bench across the road in Maccas.

Booked two rooms for our stay. Both rooms smelt musty and needed some airing out, but they were very clean and tidy. Beds were hard. Shower in one room did not spray properly, water pretty much just poured out. Location was great for dining options. Easy drive to Hunter Valley Gardens.

The room next door to us was wide open all night, it was not made up, I felt like maybe someone went in and left very early....perhaps a homeless person. I thought it was odd that the door was left open. The staff were not friendly at all....it was like we were an inconvenience.

Staff were friendly and accommodating to an early check in. Motel was clean, bed was comfortable and convenient to dining around the area. I would stay again.

Location of the hotel is in prime position, close to fast food places, town pool, a pub and not far from shopping district. We stay for the day on the green so getting to Bimbadgen estate was virtually out the road. Awesome location. Room was ok for our needs. Bed was very soft. Bed head was stained and so was the carpet, very badly. Air conditioner was amazing. Shower amazing with hot hot water and pressure. Car parks a nightmare. Small and not numbered. We were in room 7 so down the back in the corner. We parked close to our room but when we went out and came back our park was taken. Price was ok i thought until i seen the room. For the condition of the room i thought it should have been cheaper $240 a night bit pricey.

The place is basic, but has all the amenities you might need for a short stay. The staff is very pleasant and friendly and will ensure that you have a comfortable stay... A big plus point is the proximity to restaurants which are walkable if you want to grab a quick meal...

Booked two rooms for our stay. Both rooms smelt musty and needed some airing out, but they were very clean and tidy. Beds were hard. Shower in one room did not spray properly, water pretty much just poured out. Location was great for dining options. Easy drive to Hunter Valley Gardens.

We enjoyed our stay here. We were upgraded a few hours before we checked in. Room 13 is clean, affordable and enough space for hubby and I. Its around 15min drive from Hunter valley garden, a few mins drive from local restaurants and leagues club

This accommodation was rated as 4star when I researched. Giving it 2stars is generous. Bedding smelt musty and the cover was an old blanket. Mattress springs were popping out the side and also digging into us when trying to sleep. Pillows thin and dirty. Shower was full of mildew and dirty. Check in staff not welcoming. Tired, dirty and certainly not close to a 4 star rating. I hope this is not the best Cessnock has to offer. If so people would be better travelling a bit further along.

Very good value motel (at least midweek) close to Hunter Valley wineries and fast food outlets. Usual motel layout and amenities, a little dated but not to the point of being ragged. I would stay there again.
