MyStay - Casa da Portaria

The Casa Da Portaria is a historic country house situated in the grounds of the S. João de Tarouca Monastery; It is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Alto Douro region.Casa Da Portaria has a number of beautifully decorated self-catering apartments, with either 2 or 3 guest bedrooms.  Each apartment features double bedrooms, modern bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and a living room, all decorated in a traditional Portuguese style.Guests can enjoy the house's pretty gardens or relax by the outdoor swimming pool.  There is also a barbeque area for guests to use.The historical S. João de Tarouca Monastery, dating back to 1139, is only 50-metres from the house and worth a visit.  Other area attractions include cycling, hiking, kayaking and climbing.  Of course, there are also many vineyards that can be visited.
