We appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, but unfortunately the hotel was in very poor and outdated condition considering the price. We expected a much higher standard, especially since we associated the Astoria name with quality. Also the reception was located at the back of the building next to an area where the restaurant stored its waste and leftovers. This created a poor first impression and did not feel welcoming. Overall, the hotel did not live up to our expectations and did not offer good value for the price.

Staff were so helpful and friendly. Allowed us to leave our baggage pre and post stay so we could make the most of the time we were there. The room was excellent (lock a little fiddly but not impossible) and it was a perfect location. Also brilliant breakfast - totally set us up for the whole day. Definitely recommend.

This is more of a bed and breakfast place rather than a hotel. There are 9 rooms on three floors with no elevator, which could be an issue for some. There is a restaurant attached to hotel, which served a nice breakfast, otherwise there is no seating area. I found the room to be rather dated. Shower head was old although gave good pressure. No complimentary water In the room. Air conditioning worked but again felt a bit old (weird smell from it in bedroom). Staff seemed nice enough. I think it’s expensive relative to what you get. Next time I’d stay in an apartment rather than here.
