They do a great job of accommodating travelers in a sketchy neighborhood. Good conflict resolution and surveillance 24 hours/7 days

pool was broken and it was not said online that it was out of commission we did not find out until after we drove 12 hours to get there, tv had a red line down it, room smelled like stale ciggarettes

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, pets stayed for free, they had a lot of people in costume a mother and her children gave us trick or treat , it was really a lot of fun !!!!!

Easy check in friendly staff , plenty of parking , room very clean , a bit of dirt on the floors but no biggie . Bathroom was spotless , shower only worked perfect no noise , plenty hot water .

bed bugs discovered at 6am. As a courtesy changed my room and offered extra day. At 2am left the new room with 7 bed bug bites from hip to knee on left side. Could not accept original accommodation if extra night and now left with several humongous welts. I KNOW it was bed bugs because the bit side is the side i was laying on so definitely not mosquito bites.

Disgusting roach infested room with drug activity outside and room smelled of cigarette and tobacco dirty with nasty stains in bed and floors

When entering into the room, the floors were dirty. The light switches were filthy. The room had a stale smell to it. The headboard had something all over it, as well as the table as though it had never been wiped down. The shower had hair in it as well as the sink.

Facîlity is so filthy, molds in the shower, walls are dirty, wiped them with wet wipes and they turned gray. Smells weed everywhere. Very outdated. Building is falling apart. Neighborhood is noisy, you can hear everything. Trucks and cars passing by. Both neighbors had dogs and cats. Not safe all.

The walls in the room were very dirty. There was visible areas where could tell someone spit on the wall, there was literally visible mucus with a bubble. Also, there were multiple brown smears in the walls throughout the room, that one can only assume to be recall matter. It was so gross!!

The staff was friendly but the place was really gross. There were cigarette butts on the floor of a smoke free room that smelt horrible, cockroaches were seriously everywhere - walls, floor, ceiling, sink and shower. In the bathroom there was a strip of mold and a destroyed wall and the bed and pillows were insanely uncomfortable. Would not recommend and never staying there again. It was really bad.

The door didn't close all the way the walls the whole room had a nasty layer of dirt all.over it.

The back of the property might have been better, but our room was on the street side. The road noise was very loud throughout the night. With very thin walls and door, it was very loud.

Good price. Nice friendly staff & fast check in & check out. Simple room which is perfect for me. Slept good. One issue is that it smells like a prior smoking room so if you’re sensitive to smoke this may not work. Also area is a bit rough so keep that in mind when booking this.

My wife and I chose this hotel because it was within a 10-15 minute drive (due to traffic) of the convention we were going to. Check-in went smoothly, however, we were given a smoking room despite having booked a non-smoking room. I noticed a "sold out" sign on the door the first night, and due to the cigarette smell not being as strong as in some other places we've stayed, we chose not to complain. The beds were comfortable but we did find the pillows to be a bit on the lumpy side. Despite being near a highway and an airport, we found that the hotel was (for the most part) rather quiet. Our only complaint was that the next morning, we did get woken up by an argument occuring directly next door to us. A woman was crying rather hysterically, screaming and shouting, and at times, it sounded like items were being thrown around the room. I chose to bring my concern to the front desk as my wife and I heard the woman scream "help me," "what's going on?" and "How did I get here?" multiple times. The front desk told me that they would send someone to check on the guests, but when approximately twenty minutes passed and no one came, we chose to call the police out of concern. The police informed us that we were not the first to call and did come to investigate, but acted nonchalant about the situation. They actually shared information with us; saying that the woman "had too much to drink" and was experiencing a "mental crisis". By the time we returned, the other guests had left.

Room itself is fine and in decent condition, but walls are definitely thin enough to hear everything going on around you, and the goings-on were VERY loud.

Room was clean, but bed was thin and uncomfortable. Pillows were like rocks. Terrible water pressure in the shower. So noisy! No one was enforcing the 10pm "quiet time" rule. Music, shouting, partying until 2 am .

Veronica (night agent) was AWESOME! She fixed an issue with my reservation the night that we arrived. The room itself was tiny BUT it was clean and the furniture & fixtures were modern, clean and accomidating. It was exactly what we needed and even had a micro/fridge which was more than I expected at this price point.

It was perfectly adequate. It's a Motel 6, so you should know what you're getting (and what you're not) when you book. If you're spending time mostly outside of the hotel, it's a good value and gets the job done. This was a very convenient place to stay for my son and I when we visited Richmond to visit Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion (and opted for this hotel by the Richmond Airport as a halfway point). It is literally right across the street from the Richmond Airport. Coming and going was very simple and the area was safe. Sometimes you're going to take a trip and splurge on a really nice hotel. Sometimes you'll book a value hotel and allocate your vacation money on other experiences. For this trip we did the latter and it worked out well. No complaints about this totally acceptable property. We got exactly what we registered for.

The staff is awesome here and you get what you pay for

We got off work late we called the front desk lady said no problem we called again because our ride was on the way again she said no problem got here customer service was excellent and the room was right near the bus stop which makes it easy to go shopping just in case we have bags and we will return again we already booked the room thank you Motel6

This is our second time staying at Motel6 we really enjoy it!!! Front desk service is excellent they always looking out for us making sure we safe we get a room close to the office or close by the bus stop we really appreciate that!!! And we will be returning again just to get away

It's an older building, but it was fine for a short stay. Lots of places for food were conveniently close by. It could definitely use an update.

I enjoyed the motel being in a quiet location close to restaurants, groceries and Richmond Convention Center

It’s good enough just for 1 night. However, it’s 1 mile from the airport which is convenient.

What I liked: I really like the fact that as we pulled up it looks nice outside and the weeds & grass was cut so nothing was over grown. The gentleman who checked me into my reservation was a pure gem. Because we are from North Carolina, he was very helpful when I asked for local places to eat and I mean it was 3-4 minutes away. The room had been upgraded and there was no carpet and I love that, the beds linens where clean and made up very nice. TV was fantastic & the fridge and microwave and that BATHROOM WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. It didn't have a tub/shower combo, But it did have a shower that had see through glass door and everything was perfect. Right amount of towels, wash clothes, hand towels and toilet paper. I really think we got our monies worth and then some. What I didn't like: Only that their were a few people who stayed there that were on some type of drug(s). I had one man approach me asking for money but I told him, I won't give you any money but I will feed you. We unpacked and headed down the road (3-4 mins) to Waffle House and we ordered him the ALL STAR meal and I got a small coffee for him as well. OTW back we made a quick stop at the store and got some items for ourselves & I bought him a bottle of water, a Pepsi and a pack of Marlboro cigarettes along with a pack of matches. Although a lot of people may say: I know a lot wouldn't have done it, but I was let to so I was obedient and did just that. Never know it could be your own child, a niece/nephew.

Close to airport

It's an old location and I wouldn't recommend walking to any of the restaurants.

Cleanliness was pretty good, overall. I did notice a few maintenance issues that had not been addressed, although they were minor and did not immediately deter from the functionality of the room. Worst feature was noise. I understand that such close proximity to airport runways means high noise levels day and night, but it certainly did make sleeping difficult!

Overall my stay was fine. The property is average but the area is rough. Some random people knocked on my door. I did not feel safe and was glad my stay was short.

The beds were comfortable, cable tv was limited with no hbo or movie channels. No wall decor. No breakfast. Tons of roaches in the bathroom.

Room that was booked online was not what we received. We booked a non smoking room and was given smoking. When we showed the worker that she just said there was no other option. The room reaked of smoke. The pictures online were nothing like it was in person. The floors had black sticky stuff all over, there was mold in many parts of the room, the walls and curtains looked stained with dirt. Tv remote didn’t work so we had to use actual tv to change the channel. The water pressure in the shower didn’t work It took over 5 minutes just to get soap semi off your body. The sheets on the bed felt like paper and so uncomfortable on the skin and it had only two very small deflated pillows. Don’t waste your money here

I chose Hotel 6 for proximity to RIC due to an ice storm and landing very late at night. Price was right but room was dirty (floor), smelled of cigarette smoke that got in my belongings and the staff did not inform me that the city water was broke and there was a boil alert... I expected a coffee maker but with the water issue it didn't matter. Just disappointed as they used to be better.

The property met our needs. The complementary coffee in the morning helped get us going on these cold winter days! :)
