Kacy's Bargara Beach Motel

Theres nothing worse than smokers on balconys when you Are given the room above them so your whole stay is ruined by heavy plumes of cigarette smoke wafting up through your balcony. The shower head was clogged and barely even enough pressure to rinse yourself. The tv was just local channels and not exactly up to date with no netflix etc. the beds are very small And very firm, uncomfortably so. The paths around the pool could do with a gernie to Remove all the dark greying of mould and dirt. As a higher end cost per night it was a disappointment as the expectations for this place were high for me. Guests were unaware that the pub is rowdy with loud bands all night and the added bonus of people screaming at each other in the middle of the night.

This accommodation was perfect for our needs. It was exceptionally clean. Smooth check in and lots of parking available. Perfect location too.

Nice location across the street from the beach. I would have liked a few dishes since we like to have a bowl of cereal in the morning. The pool looked nice but wasn’t sure about the quality of the water. I noticed the water had a funny taste. Overall the hotel was pretty good. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend the hotel but please put in a few dishes

The staff were accommodating and friendly, and nothing was a bother. The food in the restaurant was superb. Some of the best I have eaten in a long time. The location was terrific, as places to eat were right next door. The room had a great outlook. Unfortunately, not having lifts is challenging when you are 70 plus and your room is on the top floor. As I have already stated, I am not ungrateful, as the room had a wonderful view from the balcony.

We have stayed in the apartments and the motel. Both very good value in a great position. In the heart of the town with takeaways and restaurants etc only minutes walk. Fridge provided. Balcony overlooking the ocean was lovely. There is a road between the property and the boardwalk but we didn't find it a problem. Only 3 stories but no lift and a little tired but well maintained.we will definitely stay again.

Lovely area except very few places open to eat on Monday night and take aways was not very good. I was staying on the 3rd floor and no elevator and I am 74 so hard to navigate the stairs.

We booked a queen room and requested ground floor as there are no elevators. They did put us on the ground floor but with two single beds. We are a married couple on a romantic getaway so that was immediately disappointing and upsetting. My husband spoke to the manager who claimed that’s all they had available. We were also charged an additional $75 fee for the ground floor room. Of course no refunds so we just had to squeeze into the single bed which led to 3 uncomfortable nights of sleep in very hard and uncomfortable beds. The WiFi was unusable. I had to use my mobile data and ended up using it all since the wifi said connected but never actually did. They provide an ice bucket but have no ice machine. You have to ask the office manager for ice only during business hours of course. We were off exploring the lovely Bargara and Bundaberg during the day and needed the ice in the evenings, which of course we couldn’t get since the office was closed. The icing on the cake was when my husband stopped up the toilet, and when he went to the office to ask for a plunger the person was extremely rude. She said to my husband “in 15 years no one has ever stopped up the toilet so you must have put something in it that you weren’t supposed to” and the worst part is there was another guest standing behind my husband when she said this. Obviously we were embarrassed. In summary, don’t stay here. The patio was the only positive. Also no power if you leave the room so no ac when you get back

Expensive, but good size room, clean, attended to daily

Staff were excellent in both the restaurant and accommodation. Room was neat and clean and importantly quite comfortable

I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Bed was comfy and the aircon was so quiet I couldn't hear it! Ducted air so much better than those awful split systems. Restaurant is top class. Food was brilliant and coupled with view of the ocean and sea breeze it was a really nice dining experience.

Property was comfortable and clean. Close to dining options.

Got an Ocean View room - it was 2nd floor with a balcony, sheltered from wind, great views of life on the waterfront and the beach/ocean

Lovely place to stay. Close to beach, shops and clubs. Noisy cars and motor bikes were the only thing that spoilt it. Also internet was unreliable for me.

The minimum temp on the air-con is 22, if you go below this there is a warning that it will freeze up and drip onto the floor, the clean-up is at your expense. If you open the glass door to use the balcony the air conditioning is turned off, I understand we are all trying to conserve energy but really?

Friendly and efficient check in, room dates but very clean. Bed not so comfy and toilet paper so very thin you need a handful to do to the job.

We stayed for 5 nights at Kacys. Everything was terrific. It was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Really clean and like the daily room service. However the fridge had a faulty motor which made very loud noise. Had to turn off first night and told reception. Was never fixed or heard back from them and had to turn off fridge every night. Not good. Also had at least 7 tv channels that did not work to which I also told them but NEVER even communicated with me or fixed.... Really poor service to which is a very clean facility

Efficient staff, good welcome and explanation of amenities. Great place for a one or two night stop. Nice restaurant on site.

Bubbly greeting on arrival

I was over charged on my stay by double. I booked through wotif and was charged for two rooms instead of 1. Kaceys refused to refund me even when wotif explained it was up to them to refund they refused. I would never stay there again due to lack of compassion towards mistakes made by booking companies they employ to get bookings. I never took ownership of the room refused it from check in they had so much time to at least come to an arrangement cancellation fee nothing just took $615 and refused to budge on a compromise or refunding.

Centrally located in Bargara overlooking the ocean. Lovely area to walk along the beach front, cafes, hotel and shops all close by, you can park your car during your stay and walk everywhere

Adjacency to Esplanade with paved path and ocean views are key reasons for staying here. Walkable proximity to Mon Repos turtle center is a bonus.
