We paid €732 for one night and it wasn't worth that much, the igloo was nice and beds very comfortable. I don't what I expected but it was way to much to pay for a night. We tried to go to the sauna and we couldn't, we tried to go into the sky bar and there was a private event on so we weren't able to go in at that time. Is this worth going, yes but not €732 worth.

This property is amazing. The northern lights alarm works well and we were lucky enough to see them thanks to the alarm. Breakfast was great. Only downside is the location. It’s quite far from town, so need to pay extra anytime you go anywhere, a lot of tours either won’t collect you or will charge extra to. The dinner is very specific, you need to pre book and I would say it is not for everyone. There is nowhere else around to eat, so you need to pre prepare if you want other food. There is a shuttle bus, but it also runs at very specific times. Having said that, it’s an amazing experience and the accommodation facilities are excellent.

The property is secluded and about 30 mins away from city center. It is in a nicely quietly situated area. The goal of the trip was to hopefully see lady Aurora and to stay in an igloo. This resort met those expectations! I was very fortunate Aurora did her show right above my igloo! What a dream that was. I know Lady Aurora is a natural phenomenon, I was just very fortunate she did her show the night I stayed. I liked how the hotel offered the snow tubing and was able to walk on the frozen lake! It was truly a winter wonderland. They also included the Arctic snowhotel tickets in my stay which was a plus. I dined in the Ice restaurant for the experience and truly did not disappoint! I would stay at this hotel again!

This was a beautiful property but I think I just stayed at it during a less-than-ideal time (construction, transition from autumn to winter weather). The room was a great size, facilities were clean, but as it is pretty remote of a location and it is a 40euro RT trip into town, I wish there were more on site options for food/beverages besides the dinner reservations. Even a fridge with grab and go would have been nice. I also wish the public/free sauna was at more convenient times during the day and not just later at night only at 9pm. I used the airport shuttle and the shuttle to/from town and those were always on time with friendly drivers. I would definitely stay again if I wanted to catch the auroras, I would just prepare a bit more for having a rental car to go into town or more food and beverages in the room.

La estancia fue bella. Las instalaciones son de primer nivel, la atención es excelente y hay algunos empleados que hablan español. Prestan gratis raquetas de nieve y trineos, y tienen lugares cálidos para descansar. Los igloos son hermosos y cálidos. Pudimos ver una aurora, pero la alerta no sonó, sino que nosotroa estuvimos alertas. Eso provocó que no pudiéramos dormir bien esa noche. Además, una luz interna no funcionaba. Fuera de eso, el igloo es súper cómodo y bonito. No dan ganas de salir. Por otra parte, las habitaciones de hielo son increíbles y divertidas. Es toda una experiencia dormir ahí. Se siente mucho frío estando dentro, pero para dormir dan sleeping bags muy cálidos que hicieron que durmiera excelente. Como llegamos temprano, pudimos escoger la habitación que más nos gustó. Por otra parte, la comida del restaurante es buena, pero excesivamente cara. Prepárense para pagar €70.00 por un menú de 3 tiempos sencillo.

The hotel is far from the city. They will tell you that the shuttle are free which is not totally true. The first one and the last one will be at your charge. The airport shuttle will be 17 per person but they only have 3 a day. It is the same for the city center shuttle only 3 to go there and 2 or 3 to go back. Do not miss it or change your mind otherwise they will ask you to pay for it 17e euros per pers. The breakfast is a joke and the restaurant is not even a real one. They only serve the same menu over and over each days of the week, it never changes, for 59 euros it is not even all you can eat buffet. Don\'t forget to buy stuff (groceries) before you go there. They have nothing there and if you want to have something you will have to eat only at dinner time at their "restaurant " taht doesn\'t have any à la carte stuff. The last shuttle bus for the city center is at 1:30 pm and the only supmarket is at 5km away. Trust me the is service at his lowest here. I have never seen an hotel that charges you 360 euros a night and has nothing to at least make it worth your money. Ooooh the best is that sauna are only open 1h a day from 9 to 10 pm for women and 10 to 11pm for men.

The igloo is a nice experience to sleep in for one night (in the hope to see the northern lights), however the price is not worthy for the space and comfort of the accommodation. The breakfast had a large selection of high quality food, the staff was friendly and the cocktails at the Skybar were nice. The parking for cars was a bit too far from the igloo, especially with adverse weather conditions.

Es war ein unglaublich schöner Aufenthalt. Wir werden auf jedenfall nochmal kommen. Es gab nur 2 Kritikpunkte. Zum einen hätten wir uns beim Frühstück etwas mehr Auswahl erhofft besonders was Brötchen angeht (es gibt nur Toast und Brot). Und die Saunazeiten sind leider nur von 21-23 Uhr was für uns persönlich etwas spät war. Aber wir würden das Hotel trotzdem jedem empfehlen.

Pros Awesome and unique experience staying in a glass igloo in Lapland! Good open area to see the aurora and a nice lake onsite. Resident reindeer. Aurora alert in your room. Cons Expensive You can't be inside the igloo during the day if it's sunny or a little warm outside because it got so crazy hot in there! There is no cooling, only a small desk fan. Went to reception and was told to keep the igloo door open. This did very little and meant there was zero privacy as the next igloo looks straight in. The igloos are very close together! The resort is completely away from any facilities, and there is nothing to do unless you have a car (which we did) or go on a tour. A walking track is needed as the surroundings and lake are so pretty. Breakfast has many ok options, but is the same everyday and even if you're there on opening, the hot food is only warm. Thel communal sauna is only open after 9pm. Would I stay again? Probably not. Would I recommend staying here? Absolutely! But just be aware of the cons ;)

Incredible set up to watch the northern lights from bed. Went in autumn so snow hotel was not available. Would recommend more activities available like fishing rods, kayak as it’s far out of town so when you are there you are there with little to do. Also, timing of saunas are late, pop up ice bar so having it more available to guests. Shuttle runs more frequent. All in all, highly recommend - it’s an unforgettable experience

Cannot recommend this place enough. We stayed in one of the igloos, with superb views through the glass ceiling of the northern lights (spotted thanks to the Aurora alarm in the room!). The room was very warm, which is definitely needed, and clean on arrival. Bed were comfy, but slight shame it’s twin beds pushed together, although having the ability to raise the back and legs was a nice touch. Not much storage in the room but a minor detail. The staff were so friendly, accommodating to everything we asked about, full of recommendations and eager to help. The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful every morning. Kota restaurant was good and worth a try but we did have better food elsewhere, in and around Rovaniemi. All the activities we did were so much fun and we loved every moment. Highly recommend the Bearhill Husky experience, reindeer farm visit and a traditional Finnish sauna. Overall, a superb stay and would love to go back!

Very beautiful igloos. Everything was very clean and we were lucky enough to see great northern lights the very first night which was AMAZING. Staff is extremely friendly and supportive. Not very nice is that there is a gap between the wall to the bathroom and ceiling which means all toilette sounds and smells will be noticed in the igloo. As we were 3 friends traveling it was horrible for me waking up because of the sounds.

An awful experience. The website markets the glass igloos as ‘see everything, 360 degree views of the arctic skies’ - we couldn’t even see out of the igloo never mind to the sky! The glass was completely frozen over (see images) and when I informed reception they said they would turn the heaters on which would clear the ice. 2 hours later the ice hadn’t cleared and I informed reception again who came to take a look and said ‘the heaters for the glass aren’t very strong’. The toilet attached to the igloo also had a strong unpleasant smell - I can only assume it hadn’t been emptied after the previous guest. Breakfast was ok, buffet style. Taxi / shuttle from the centre / airport to the location is expensive at £30 per head. Not recommended, there are other igloo hotels that I imagine will be much better. Also, I wouldn’t expect to see the northern lights (even if you pop your head out of the ice river igloo) - the man who did a presentation on the ice hotel told us they have only been visible once in the last 18 months.

Sehr gutes Konzept. Wir waren leider ohne Schnee da und dann ist das Ambiente nicht so schön. Das Personal war super freundlich und generell das Hotel ist sehr schön. Leider war die Bettwäsche nicht wirklich Haarfrei als wir angekommen sind. Der Feuermelder war sehr hell nachts wenn man eigentlich Sterne beobachten will. Würden aber wieder kommen.

Absolutely loved everything about this place. We stayed in the igloos which were very clean and a bit like upscale glamping. So cozy and fun. It had limited eating options, but it didn't matter at all. There were so many fun activities (both free and with charge) that we were busy all day the days we stayed. The staff completely made our stay. They were fun, friendly, helpful, and even gave us ideas and ways to change schedules around to accommodate some things we ended up wanting to do. If and when we travel to Finland again, this would be the one repeat we would definitely do!

La estancia fue bella. Las instalaciones son de primer nivel, la atención es excelente y hay algunos empleados que hablan español. Prestan gratis raquetas de nieve y trineos, y tienen lugares cálidos para descansar. Los igloos son hermosos y cálidos. Pudimos ver una aurora, pero la alerta no sonó, sino que nosotroa estuvimos alertas. Eso provocó que no pudiéramos dormir bien esa noche. Además, una luz interna no funcionaba. Fuera de eso, el igloo es súper cómodo y bonito. No dan ganas de salir. Por otra parte, las habitaciones de hielo son increíbles y divertidas. Es toda una experiencia dormir ahí. Se siente mucho frío estando dentro, pero para dormir dan sleeping bags muy cálidos que hicieron que durmiera excelente. Como llegamos temprano, pudimos escoger la habitación que más nos gustó. Por otra parte, la comida del restaurante es buena, pero excesivamente cara. Prepárense para pagar €70.00 por un menú de 3 tiempos sencillo.

Cannot recommend this place enough. We stayed in one of the igloos, with superb views through the glass ceiling of the northern lights (spotted thanks to the Aurora alarm in the room!). The room was very warm, which is definitely needed, and clean on arrival. Bed were comfy, but slight shame it’s twin beds pushed together, although having the ability to raise the back and legs was a nice touch. Not much storage in the room but a minor detail. The staff were so friendly, accommodating to everything we asked about, full of recommendations and eager to help. The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful every morning. Kota restaurant was good and worth a try but we did have better food elsewhere, in and around Rovaniemi. All the activities we did were so much fun and we loved every moment. Highly recommend the Bearhill Husky experience, reindeer farm visit and a traditional Finnish sauna. Overall, a superb stay and would love to go back!

Very beautiful igloos. Everything was very clean and we were lucky enough to see great northern lights the very first night which was AMAZING. Staff is extremely friendly and supportive. Not very nice is that there is a gap between the wall to the bathroom and ceiling which means all toilette sounds and smells will be noticed in the igloo. As we were 3 friends traveling it was horrible for me waking up because of the sounds.

Die Igloos haben durch die Glasfenster einen tollen Blick nach draußen. Leider ist das Badezimmer nicht richtig vom Rest des Zimmers abgegrenzt. Das Badezimmer inkl. Toilette ist nach oben hin offen, sodass man jedes Geräusch aus dem Bad im Schlafzimmer hört. Im Twin-Zimmer gibt es außer den beiden Einzelbetten, nur einen Stuhl, sodass die Sitzmöglichkeiten etwas begrenzt sind.

天井が全面ガラス張りなので夜寝ながら空が見えていた。残念ながら雨だったのでオーロラは見れなかったが、ホテルのオーロラアラームも24時間体制で用意されてたしとても良かった。

We went there 11/19, ice part of the hotel is not opened until 12/15, nothing to see, it’s a snow construction site. Igloo rooms were small, and dark. Maybe better after 12/15…..

Pros Awesome and unique experience staying in a glass igloo in Lapland! Good open area to see the aurora and a nice lake onsite. Resident reindeer. Aurora alert in your room. Cons Expensive You can't be inside the igloo during the day if it's sunny or a little warm outside because it got so crazy hot in there! There is no cooling, only a small desk fan. Went to reception and was told to keep the igloo door open. This did very little and meant there was zero privacy as the next igloo looks straight in. The igloos are very close together! The resort is completely away from any facilities, and there is nothing to do unless you have a car (which we did) or go on a tour. A walking track is needed as the surroundings and lake are so pretty. Breakfast has many ok options, but is the same everyday and even if you're there on opening, the hot food is only warm. Thel communal sauna is only open after 9pm. Would I stay again? Probably not. Would I recommend staying here? Absolutely! But just be aware of the cons ;)

We stayed one night in the glass igloo during autumn, so the SnowHotel was still under construction and, according to one of the staff, set to reopen in a few weeks. Even so, the experience was lovely and memorable. The igloo was cozy and warm, though a bit tight for three people. At night, we didn’t get to see the northern lights or stars, but the view of the moon and quiet Arctic sky was peaceful in its own way. The pop-up ice bar was a fun surprise — I had a lingonberry gin there and it was fantastic! The shared sauna beside the restaurant was also a great way to relax before bed. Although we had to leave early for Tromsø and missed breakfast, the reception staff thoughtfully prepared a packed meal for us. The weather wasn’t ideal, but that’s part of the Arctic charm. Overall, it was a unique experience and the staff made it even better. I’d still give them 5 stars! 🌙

We’ve never paid so much for such an uncomfortable experience. The check-in time stipulated on Expedia is a lie - you do not have access to your room until 9pm when the public stops walking through the hotel. Until this time you have to bide your time in the property where you have to spend money if you want anything - even a cup of tea. The ice hotel is a novel experience - but in actuality the night was very uncomfortable and definitely not worth the price tag

This was a really good experience, very different from your ‘usual’ hotel stay. The ice sculptures and art work were impressive as was the entire hotel design. All staff were friendly and helpful. The ice bar and the ice restaurant were fun, as was the tobogganing and it was great to always have a warm room to hang out by the fire. Definitely recommend for a unique experience.

Beautiful views and amazing food. We enjoyed our stay. It was in the glass igloos with a beautiful view of the night sky and auroras. The icy surroundings was surreal, the sauna on an icy evening and sitting by a fire beside the frozen lake. Beautiful spruce trees bending due to the snow surround the hotels. I am a vegetarian so all needs and allergies were cared for. The travel was smooth due to shuttles from the hotel.

Die Nacht im Eishotel war für uns herausfordernd und hart, trotzdem eine Erfahrung, die wir nicht missen wollen. Der Service war super. Wir wurden (nach Abstimmung) geweckt für die Nordlichter und morgens geweckt mit warmem Blaubeersaft. Die anschließende Nacht im Glasiglu war natürlich wärmer. Dennoch würde ich genau diese Kombi nochmal wählen.

Absolutely loved everything about this place. We stayed in the igloos which were very clean and a bit like upscale glamping. So cozy and fun. It had limited eating options, but it didn't matter at all. There were so many fun activities (both free and with charge) that we were busy all day the days we stayed. The staff completely made our stay. They were fun, friendly, helpful, and even gave us ideas and ways to change schedules around to accommodate some things we ended up wanting to do. If and when we travel to Finland again, this would be the one repeat we would definitely do!

The resort is amazing but the staff are very unhelpful. Make sure u take food with you as food is terrible. I paid 220 euro for a buffet with my family which was the worst buffet i have ever had. My children only ate bread and they then told us that they had run out of bread. I told 3 staff members but basically got told bad luck by all of them. Really ruined our experience. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE FOOD WITH YOU!!!!

Stayed overnight in the SnowHotel room—the instruction given was perfect, and no-I was not cold at all (and I get cold easily!). Staff were very helpful and courteous, answered questions and were generally so pleasant and knowledgeable to interact with. Breakfast was excellent.

The glass igloos are stunning, it's so lovely to be able to sleep under the stars in a warm and cosy room! Dinner and breakfast options were good, they offer a nice range of activities that can be booked, staff are super friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is breathtaking too! This property is amazing. The northern lights alarm works well and we were lucky enough to see them thanks to the alarm. Breakfast was great. Only downside is the location. It’s quite far from town, so need to pay extra anytime you go anywhere, a lot of tours either won’t collect you or will charge extra to. The dinner is very specific, you need to pre book and I would say it is not for everyone. There is nowhere else around to eat, so you need to pre prepare if you want other food. Eine atemberaubende Atmosphäre mit tollem Blick in den Sternenhimmel. Das Hotel liegt weit außerhalb und ist nur mit Auto/ Transfer/ Taxi erreichbar. Nach Anruf bei der Nachthotline war jedoch nach 3 Minuten jemand da und hat sich das angeschaut. Ich würde immer wieder eine Nacht im Glasiglu verbringen.

The property is secluded and about 30 mins away from city center. It is in a nicely quietly situated area. The goal of the trip was to hopefully see lady Aurora and to stay in an igloo. This resort met those expectations! I was very fortunate Aurora did her show right above my igloo! What a dream that was. I know Lady Aurora is a natural phenomenon, I was just very fortunate she did her show the night I stayed. I liked how the hotel offered the snow tubing and was able to walk on the frozen lake! It was truly a winter wonderland. They also included the Arctic snowhotel tickets in my stay which was a plus. I dined in the Ice restaurant for the experience and truly did not disappoint! I would stay at this hotel again!
The property is secluded and about 30 mins away from city center. It is in a nicely quietly situated area. The goal of the trip was to hopefully see lady Aurora and to stay in an igloo. This resort met those expectations! I was very fortunate Aurora did her show right above my igloo! What a dream that was. I know Lady Aurora is a natural phenomenon, I was just very fortunate she did her show the night I stayed. I liked how the hotel offered the snow tubing and was able to walk on the frozen lake! It was truly a winter wonderland. They also included the Arctic snowhotel tickets in my stay which was a plus. I dined in the Ice restaurant for the experience and truly did not disappoint! I would stay at this hotel again!

This was a beautiful property but I think I just stayed at it during a less-than-ideal time (construction, transition from autumn to winter weather). The room was a great size, facilities were clean, but as it is pretty remote of a location and it is a 40euro RT trip into town, I wish there were more on site options for food/beverages besides the dinner reservations. Even a fridge with grab and go would have been nice. I also wish the public/free sauna was at more convenient times during the day and not just later at night only at 9pm. I used the airport shuttle and the shuttle to/from town and those were always on time with friendly drivers. I would definitely stay again if I wanted to catch the auroras, I would just prepare a bit more for having a rental car to go into town or more food and beverages in the room.

The icy surroundings was surreal, the sauna on an icy evening and sitting by a fire beside the frozen lake. Beautiful spruce trees bending due to the snow surround the hotels. I am a vegetarian so all needs and allergies were cared for. The travel was smooth due to shuttles from the hotel.

The hotel is far from the city. They will tell you that the shuttle are free which is not totally true. The first one and the last one will be at your charge. The airport shuttle will be 17 per person but they only have 3 a day. It is the same for the city center shuttle only 3 to go there and 2 or 3 to go back. Do not miss it or change your mind otherwise they will ask you to pay for it 17e euros per pers. The breakfast is a joke and the restaurant is not even a real one. They only serve the same menu over and over each days of the week, it never changes, for 59 euros it is not even all you can eat buffet. Don\'t forget to buy stuff (groceries) before you go there. They have nothing there and if you want to have something you will have to eat only at dinner time at their "restaurant " taht doesn\'t have any à la carte stuff. The last shuttle bus for the city center is at 1:30 pm and the only supmarket is at 5km away. Trust me the is service at his lowest here. I have never seen an hotel that charges you 360 euros a night and has nothing to at least make it worth your money. Ooooh the best is that sauna are only open 1h a day from 9 to 10 pm for women and 10 to 11pm for men.

The igloo is a nice experience to sleep in for one night (in the hope to see the northern lights), however the price is not worthy for the space and comfort of the accommodation. The breakfast had a large selection of high quality food, the staff was friendly and the cocktails at the Skybar were nice. The parking for cars was a bit too far from the igloo, especially with adverse weather conditions.

This was a very unique experience. Enjoyed the glass ceiling. The area by the lake was very beautiful. We enjoyed the tour of the property. Alert bell to wake up to see the the northern lights were helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The dinner was not great for the exorbitant price you pay. But the breakfast was good.

Pros Awesome and unique experience staying in a glass igloo in Lapland! Good open area to see the aurora and a nice lake onsite. Resident reindeer. Aurora alert in your room. Cons Expensive You can't be inside the igloo during the day if it's sunny or a little warm outside because it got so crazy hot in there! There is no cooling, only a small desk fan. Went to reception and was told to keep the igloo door open. This did very little and meant there was zero privacy as the next igloo looks straight in. The igloos are very close together! The resort is completely away from any facilities, and there is nothing to do unless you have a car (which we did) or go on a tour. A walking track is needed as the surroundings and lake are so pretty. Breakfast has many ok options, but is the same everyday and even if you're there on opening, the hot food is only warm. Thel communal sauna is only open after 9pm. Would I stay again? Probably not. Would I recommend staying here? Absolutely! But just be aware of the cons ;)

Cannot recommend this place enough. We stayed in one of the igloos, with superb views through the glass ceiling of the northern lights (spotted thanks to the Aurora alarm in the room!). The room was very warm, which is definitely needed, and clean on arrival. Bed were comfy, but slight shame it’s twin beds pushed together, although having the ability to raise the back and legs was a nice touch. Not much storage in the room but a minor detail. The staff were so friendly, accommodating to everything we asked about, full of recommendations and eager to help. The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful every morning. Kota restaurant was good and worth a try but we did have better food elsewhere, in and around Rovaniemi. All the activities we did were so much fun and we loved every moment. Highly recommend the Bearhill Husky experience, reindeer farm visit and a traditional Finnish sauna. Overall, a superb stay and would love to go back!

The Arctic snow motel in glass egg lose was an amazing experience. We stayed in one of the Ilie‘s and saw the northern lights. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The dinner buffet was not worth the money.

Rooms are little small compare to other competitors. Also hot water for showers aren’t really steady for long time. 10-15 minutes is at best, any time longer you are at risk of cold shower. Breakfast aren’t as good as other competitors.

The resort is amazing but the staff are very unhelpful. Make sure u take food with you as food is terrible. I paid 220 euro for a buffet with my family which was the worst buffet i have ever had. My children only ate bread and they then told us that they had run out of bread. I told 3 staff members but basically got told bad luck by all of them. Really ruined our experience. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE FOOD WITH YOU!!!!

The glass igloos are absolutely amazing and so cosy and warm. So nice to come in to after being out in the cold all day! The SnowHotel is so fun to look around, it’s really cool how you get to see all of the themed rooms before guests show up for the night. The restaurants were lovely, we had dinner at the SnowHotel which was an amazing experience and the breakfast buffet the next morning was delicious and varied. There is also a public sauna which I thought was great as it was free. The Aurora Alarm is an added bonus in each room - it’s good to know you won’t miss it because you’re asleep. I would definitely recommend this property - it was romantic and a once in a lifetime experience set in an absolutely stunning backdrop of Finnish forest.

Stayed overnight in the SnowHotel room—the instruction given was perfect, and no-I was not cold at all (and I get cold easily!). Staff were very helpful and courteous, answered questions and were generally so pleasant and knowledgeable to interact with. Breakfast was excellent.

A truly unique and memorable stay. The ice sculptures are stunning and create an incredible atmosphere, and it’s a great spot for seeing the aurora if conditions are right. Just note that half board dinner in the ice hotel requires an upgrade fee, and you’ll need a car or shuttle to get there as there’s no public transport. Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.

Experiência única! O quarto Iglu é maravilhoso, excelente estrutura e conforto. Várias atividades para fazer equipe de funcionários atenciosos e educados. Recomendo muito pelo menos 1 diária para conhecer. Único ponto negativo é que o hotel fica muito longe da cidade e eles cobram €11 por pessoa por trecho. Já deveria estar incluso na diária. Decidimos ir de Uber e gastamos o mesmo valor

The glass houses are located in an area where you have to drag your suitcase through gravel. It makes it hard to get to. Rooms are small but fine for a 1 night stay. Breakfast was good. Dinner in the ice restaurant is cold as you can imagine and food is ok for the cost. Drinks on the property are expensive.
