The Ivy was a lovely place to stay. It has 4 rooms that are just what you want in a hotel room. Tucked away with a Michelin star restaurant. Walkable to theaters. Fairly easy parking. You’ll have to walk for a wee bit from parking to hotel. The balcony/terrace was fabulous. I will hopefully stay longer next time.

Fascinating and usual property. Georges restaurant is incredible!! My only wish is some food and drink services on Sunday and Monday. Just a self serve bottle of wine and some self serve food would be fine. Again very interesting property. Have to see it to understand.

Wonderful place to stay. Very nice boutique rooms (only 4) with lots of amenities offered for breakfast and beyond (attached to George restaurant). Guys will not be able to use spa and pool as it is a woman’s club but other than that, wonderful hotel.

The staff at Ivy was exceptional in every way! Friendly, helpful, accommodating… Our room was FABULOUS! The bed was divine! The bath with all the salts and scents were just what I needed. Loved Secrette! And Nick our mix master was great. Dinner at George’s was INCREDIBLE. my Halivut was the best I’ve ever had and Ilive in Alaska. The flavours were so amazing. This was a luxurious stay for us to end our 2 weeks in the e Maritimes and finishing up in Toronto

I almost don’t want to share this wonderful secret hidden in the heart of Toronto in case it becomes impossible to book. The building is full of surprises from the spa, restaurant and the cozy speakeasy cocktail bar. We have stayed in most 4 and 5 star hotels in Toronto and many globally and we have to admit the Verity is just class. It’s personal touches and attention to detail is in every inch of the building. The service and staff are great and very attentive and they portray the art of customer service and making the customer fee special. Our room was spacious, light, warm and decorated beautifully. The bathroom was the largest and most luxurious we have seen in Canada. We cannot wait to stay again

The Ivy is a beautiful place with gorgeous amenities. It has 4 rooms for rent with more frills than we needed for our one-night stay. Nice balcony overlooking a lovely courtyard. Nice light breakfast served in room. The George restaurant was too pricey for us. The attached Sweetgrass spa/pool is women only. The staff was pleasant. It was difficult to find staff in person later at night and at checkout. The building is like a maze (we took an elevator down, ended up in the security office, could not go back up in elevator, could not get out the security door until security arrived. Also some difficulty pushing the sticky George door open (suggested for use by residents). We were challenged with directions to get the TV working. This is an upscale boutique hotel located in a not-upscale neighborhood. Sadly we encountered homeless people sleeping and begging for money in front of hotel.

We were in Room 4, a spacious room w terrace… a private oasis. The bathtub is a highlight treat along with morning breakfast waiting outside the door plus an unexpected private membership lounge, Secrette. Just open a doorway across the hallway and you’re in a lounge with a chill vibe, attentive bartender, and menu with tasty treats coming from George restaurant. The gnocchi was to die for!

We had a wonderful time at The Ivy. Such a cool, quiet spot. This boutique was totally different than a hotel. Super clean, excellent staff and a great breakfast delivered to our door. Would give The Ivy a “12” on a scale of 1-10. Would definitely return!

Staff was terrific, room and bath were very large and clean, fixtures were modern, tv was 65 inch, bed was comfortable, and all the amenities one could ask for. Stay here, you won’t regret it.

Excellent stay. Everything was perfect. The bathroom with large soaker tub was amazing to unwind. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast brought to our room was the best finishing touch on our stay.

Everything waa great. George was fantastic and not only checked us in, but also gave us a tour of the property and explained all the amenities and services. The room was comfy, very spacious and squeaky clean. It was a fantastic stay.

Right from the onset, the hotel only impressed me and my partner! Firstly, the staff were kind, hands-on, and accommodating. Secondly, the hotel itself was clean, the amenities were great, and it was quiet. Lastly, we were always treated with respect and the care put into our stay went above and beyond (e.g., giving pain meds when I was having a bit of a health scare, providing us with toothpaste when we didn’t bring any, and so on). I will definitely be returning in the future once I visit Toronto again. Thank you!

Really cool boutique hotel. The room was beautiful and we even had a balcony porch. Only on the second floor so we could run down to Queen Street really easily. The staff was super nice and the room was very clean. We even had free in room breakfast that was actually really good. Would stay here again.

I cannot say enough good things about The Ivy. It was an incredibly luxurious stay. The room was 10/10. We stayed in room 4 and it was huge, the bathroom was outstanding with a separate shower and bath. A lovely breakfast tray was left outside the room each morning. George checked us in and took time to show us round the very unique hotel. We didn't avail of any of the facilities in the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. There is a separate entrance for the hotel guests so we didn't actually see anybody apart from check in and check out. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is very conveniently located, 10/10 cleanliness and overall a very comfortable and luxurious stay. Thank you!

The hotel room was divine. It was spacious, fabulously decorated and the bathtub was one of the poshest ones I have bathed in! The four boutique rooms have a spacious balcony each that looks out into a quiet courtyard. It was a luxurious experience. The breakfast delivered to my door was yummy and gigantic! Thank you for a memorable experience!

The hotel itself is one of the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. But the location looks rough -- it is next to an abandoned parking lot and within walking distance to 2 small tent cities. The reception experience is also not on par with other 4star hotels: you need to be buzzed into the huilding to enter and then you carry your own bags up the steps and to the room (which involves more steps). There was an elevator but we needed a key to access it, and this was not offered to us when we checked in. The room though was gorgeous and luxurious, and we very much enjoyed the huge bathroom with massive tub and the nice balcony overlooking courtyard. My one complaint about the room is the abundance of 2400 lumens lighting -- this is great for relaxing but is impractical when trying to do your makeup in the evening for an event.

very special 4 room hotel. wonderful room. the bathroom in particular is awesome, big tub with bath salts, great shower, heated floor. big amazing bed. everything was great except the TV. it doesn't have anything you can access. nothing! they say its the connection!?!

It was amazing, the hotel staff are very friendly. Very clean. Cozy hotel and very nice desing. All the paintings and the arts on the wall is carefully chosen. Highly recommend One issue weve had is to find the entrance to hotel. Unfortunately not that clear sign, it might because not what i expected or used to see.

My husband and I stayed for one night for a music event. I wish we stayed two nights and had time to visit George and Secrette. The staff were welcoming, gave us a tour, and showed us to our room through the maze of the beautiful building and its cool rooms. It has a reading room! Our room (Room Four) was beautiful, with a lovely courtside balcony (sadly it was raining), and a massive soaker tub. The furniture, bed, robes, bath salts on the tub, and little gift bags of salts to take home made it feel like a spa. There were pastries, fruit and coffee outside our door in the morning. We ended up leaving later than we had planned. It is not a hotel experience, more like a private rental experience but with exceptional hotel service. This will be our new stay when we are back in the city.

If it is possible to give a higher rating than a smiley face, I would give the Ivy an ECSTATIC FACE! The service is great and the rooms are large and beautiful. Everything about the Ivy feels luxurious without being pretentious. I would highly recommend a stay here and be sure to get all the history on the building! Thank you to all the staff at the Ivy for making my hockey dream trip so memorable! Carolyn Butler

Everything waa great. George was fantastic and not only checked us in, but also gave us a tour of the property and explained all the amenities and services. The room was comfy, very spacious and squeaky clean. It was a fantastic stay.

Right from the onset, the hotel only impressed me and my partner! Firstly, the staff were kind, hands-on, and accommodating. Secondly, the hotel itself was clean, the amenities were great, and it was quiet. Lastly, we were always treated with respect and the care put into our stay went above and beyond (e.g., giving pain meds when I was having a bit of a health scare, providing us with toothpaste when we didn’t bring any, and so on). I will definitely be returning in the future once I visit Toronto again. Thank you!

The hotel itself is one of the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. But the location looks rough -- it is next to an abandoned parking lot and within walking distance to 2 small tent cities. The reception experience is also not on par with other 4star hotels: you need to be buzzed into the huilding to enter and then you carry your own bags up the steps and to the room (which involves more steps). There was an elevator but we needed a key to access it, and this was not offered to us when we checked in. The room though was gorgeous and luxurious, and we very much enjoyed the huge bathroom with massive tub and the nice balcony overlooking courtyard. My one complaint about the room is the abundance of 2400 lumens lighting -- this is great for relaxing but is impractical when trying to do your makeup in the evening for an event.

We chose this hotel on a whim and I I am so glad we made the decision. I cannot say enough about how personable the staff were. When we arrived we were taken on a personal tour of the facility. The room was amazing and we never wanted to leave the Hastens bed. It was such a special experience.

The Ivy is a beautiful place with gorgeous amenities. It has 4 rooms for rent with more frills than we needed for our one-night stay. Nice balcony overlooking a lovely courtyard. Nice light breakfast served in room. The George restaurant was too pricey for us. The attached Sweetgrass spa/pool is women only. The staff was pleasant. It was difficult to find staff in person later at night and at checkout. The building is like a maze (we took an elevator down, ended up in the security office, could not go back up in elevator, could not get out the security door until security arrived. Also some difficulty pushing the sticky George door open (suggested for use by residents). We were challenged with directions to get the TV working. This is an upscale boutique hotel located in a not-upscale neighborhood. Sadly we encountered homeless people sleeping and begging for money in front of hotel.

The Ivy was a lovely place to stay. It has 4 rooms that are just what you want in a hotel room. Tucked away with a Michelin star restaurant. Walkable to theaters. Fairly easy parking. You’ll have to walk for a wee bit from parking to hotel. The balcony/terrace was fabulous. I will hopefully stay longer next time.

Great place to stay. Excellent service. Beautiful room. Quiet place. The only downside is the surrounding neighborhood. It’s a little unnerving to walk around that area but maybe we just aren’t used to areas like that in Toronto.

Staff are so friendly and helpful. 5 star service. Hotel is a great boutique find and would not hesitate to stay again. Area is a little sketchy but only for a block or so. Didn’t feel unsafe but uncomfortable at times after dark.

This was a unique and interesting place to stay and we had a great time. Loved our room. The continental breakfast left something to be desired for sure. It was presented nicely but the quality of most of the items was low.

Fascinating and usual property. Georges restaurant is incredible!! My only wish is some food and drink services on Sunday and Monday. Just a self serve bottle of wine and some self serve food would be fine. Again very interesting property. Have to see it to understand.

The room was beautifully decorated. We enjoy the size and quality of the king sized mattress. The bathroom was gorgeous, including a variety of bath salts. We only stayed overnight to enjoy a musical within walking distance so we did not use any of the amenities. There is no on-site parking so it will cost you up to $50. Unfortunately most Toronto Hotels have no parking. Room service was scheduled for 8 a.m. It came with croissants, a cinnamon roll, yogurt and granola and fruit. When we arrived we filled out a form for allergies and preferred choices. I requested to have almond milk for my tea as I am lactose intolerant. They forgot to provide it. We also said that we were lactose intolerant ans they gave us yogurt. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.

The staff at Ivy was exceptional in every way! Friendly, helpful, accommodating… Our room was FABULOUS! The bed was divine! The bath with all the salts and scents were just what I needed. Loved Secrette! And Nick our mix master was great. Dinner at George’s was INCREDIBLE. my Halivut was the best I’ve ever had and Ilive in Alaska. The flavours were so amazing. This was a luxurious stay for us to end our 2 weeks in the e Maritimes and finishing up in Toronto

This hotel is a gem! The room is essentially a studio apartment. The bathroom cannot be beat. Highly walkable area, amazing restaurant in the lower part of the building. The icing on the cake is that breakfast is delivered to the door each morning and includes fresh, homemade pastries. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

I almost don’t want to share this wonderful secret hidden in the heart of Toronto in case it becomes impossible to book. The building is full of surprises from the spa, restaurant and the cozy speakeasy cocktail bar. We have stayed in most 4 and 5 star hotels in Toronto and many globally and we have to admit the Verity is just class. It’s personal touches and attention to detail is in every inch of the building. The service and staff are great and very attentive and they portray the art of customer service and making the customer fee special. Our room was spacious, light, warm and decorated beautifully. The bathroom was the largest and most luxurious we have seen in Canada. We cannot wait to stay again

Our stay at the Verity Hotel was exceptional. The room was lovely. Beautifully decorated, spacious, an excellent bathroom and a lovely outside space that overlooked a courtyard where the birds would sing every morning. The room was very, very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bed linen and pillows were soft and luxurious. There was a simple but high quality breakfast delivered to our room and we could sit outside and eat the excellent pastries while we got ready for the day. All the staff were helpful, kind and courteous When we visit Toronto again we will definitely stay at the Verity again.

We were pleasantly surprised at this great hotel during our visit. From the outside you’d never know a hotel was there but the inside is just fantastic. The building is an old chocolate factory that’s been redone and includes the hotel and a very nice restaurant: the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms were exquisite with lots of space and decorated like a picture in a magazine. Breakfast brought to your door in the morning and a surprise speakeasy lounge bar. Beautiful courtyard balcony and great place for sleep with roller shades for a dark cool quiet and very comfortable bed. Bathroom was huge and beautiful. We loved it and would definitely stay again.
