Wingate by Wyndham St. Paul/Oakdale/Woodbury

This was a nice place to stay. It is close to I 94 and easy to get moving the next date. The only drawback was the breakfast didn't have many choices. Otherwise, it was a safe, clean, and nice place to stay.

Nice hotel, kids had fun playing in the pool, breakfast had lots of options, room was clean and smelled nice.

Manager is rude. Other employees were nice. Dog walking area has poop bags overflowing for 4 days. Never emptied. The area was stinky. My room door didn't close properly. Hallways were smelly. Breakfest wasn't good.

Staff was polite, helpful, and quick.

The staff at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in. Unfortunately, the room itself was quite humid when I first walked in and had an unpleasant smell. I was able to lower the thermostat from 71° to 68°, but by morning the room had climbed back up to 75°. After the second night, of 4, we contacted the front desk. They were able to replace the air-conditioning unit while we were away in the day and after that the room temperature was comfortable and stayed where it should. There were numerous dings and marks in the walls, and some of the trim was coming away from the wall. The breakfast situation was very limited. On Saturday morning there was no caffeinated coffee when I was leaving for the day at 8:00am. I also checked in with well behaved show dogs, which I FULLY disclosed to the front desk at arrival. What was especially disappointing was being charged an unexpected $300 pet fee at checkout. I was expecting a $100 pet fee, so the $300 charge was quite a surprise. I feel that any additional or higher-than-expected pet fees should be clearly communicated at check-in. Overall, the staff was friendly and responsive when we brought the temperature issue to their attention, and I appreciated that they resolved it. However, the condition of the room and especially the unexpected $300 pet fee definitely left a negative impression on what could have been a much better experience.
