I want to warn guest about taxis. The front desk thought they were doing me a favor telling me I could get a taxi on the street which I didn't think anything of. I had to negotiate the price. I also didn't think anything about that. However, after I got into the taxi, he drove me down the street and then tried to drop me off. I ultimately got to my location. But that was not a pleasant experience. The hotel should know better. The taxi driver is really ripped to us off with their pricing. The hotel should do something to take care of that for guests needing to go places.

Beautiful resort! I love that a shuttle/ferry boat takes you to the Big French Key private island! Food from Herby's was great and the gym has fully functional equipment. The only thing I wish I would've looked into was the location of the resort because I had the most trouble getting transportation from shuttle included excursions booked on Viator as they do not come out that far. It's a 30 min drive from West End. Taxi rate is high.

The room had a fair strong, strange smell. The complimentary airport shuttle service was inadequate. When arranging a ride to the airport, the only late morning options were 0930 and 1230 departures. As a result, my 0930 was completely packed and my fold down seat was uncomfortable. With a full van, ALL of the bags were put in a second van that broke down halfway to the airport. Our driver left us wondering at airport curbside without explanation of our baggage delay. Turns out he retrieved the bags from the broken van. But no apology for the 25 minute delay. If the hotel offered service every hour, or at least every 90 minutes (say 0730,0900,1030,1200), then the ride would not have been uncomfortable, and the bags could have accompanied the passengers. The room was very reasonably priced, but I can’t recommend this hotel as I experienced it.
