Good service , very nice hotel and location. nice rooms and good beds. short drive to trolltunga and right out the door to the monks' stairs and the queen's path. Short way to food shop bunpris and 2 pizza/cafe resturants , cider farms. Amazing good dinner buffet i recommend this. the swimming pool is great with a sauna for adults and an outdoor pool. the hotel has many small rooms where it is possible to relax with coffee and drinks. you can sit both outside and inside. the bar opens at 21:00 in the basement and has good seating. the gym is large and has a lot of good equipment to train your body.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen direkt am Fjord. Sehr schöner Wellnessbereich und Poollandschaft. Das Buffet am Abend ist sehr empfehlenswert. Insgesamt sehr hochpreisig.

Bestilt rom med fjordutsikt og balkong - var fantastiskt fint i flott sommervær. Flott buffet og masse god mat - fin frokost. Gratis parkering. Flott badeanlegg både inne og utebasseng. En liten opplevelse å bo der!

We were upgraded to a suite with a beautiful fjord view. It was very handy for the local bus which stopped outside the hotel and a ferry which used the hotel pier. There was no information about the hotel or facilities in the room and it lacked signs to the facilities. We ate at out in the evenings as the buffet was expensive and had to be prebooked plus there was no detail about the choice of food at buffet. midweek this was still tricky as the only other place serving evening meals closed early. The weather was great so it was good having the gardens and bars available. The family pool was closed but no maintenance appeared to happen. Floors between pools very slippy with lack of handrails.

Vi hadde et veldig fint opphold på Ullensvang. God mat og hyggelig, hjelpsomt personal. Eneste jeg vil trekke litt for er at det er genrellt litt kaldt på hotellet. Jeg er ikke noen frysepinn heller. Bassenget er kaldt, badstuen er kald og det er kaldt i resturangen. Kanskje varme litt bedre opp nå. Strømprisen er ikke så høy som i fjor. mvh Øystein

Familien hadde et fint opphold. Men det ble dessverre farget av at vi fikk en skade på bilen ved nedkjøring i hotellets ( svært trange) parkeringshus. Vi kom borti en betongsøyle ved nedkjøring og skrapte opp siden på bilen. Vi var nok ikke de første, for det var mange merker og hakk etter tidligere uhell pga. søylen. Dette kunne vært unngått ved enkle tiltak. Skuffende og irriterende.

Great view, nice room, friendly staff and delicious buffet dinner. The hotel offered parking with ev charger, unfortunately there were additional costs associated with the parking. The pool was great, steam sauna was ok. The hotel left a great impression overall.

Det eneste å bemerke var renhold av vinduene. Spesielt i spisesalen hvor vi skal nyte både mat og utsikt er det viktig at vinduene er ganske rene. Det var de slett ikke. En skjemmende bagatell kanskje. Ellers var det kun engelsk som gjaldt. Savnet noen ned lokalkunnskap. Vi kommer ellers gjerne igjen!

Det har funnits där i ca 150 år och det känns som varje år har det haft något nytt projekt som det startat, det finns rum för allting med det hänger inte alltid ihop. Men ett stort plus för tennisbanan och att de erbjuder bra tennisträning och utrustning. Inredningen på rummet och toaletterna känns som från Dallas på 80-talet men funkar. Det är inte så mycket norskt bland personalen vilket tar bort lite av de gamla anorna de gärna visar. Kort sagt, ett unikt hotell med sin styrkor och svagheter. Området runt hotellet är fantastiskt, bra pizzeria en bit bort (ganska dyr buffe på hotellet) och musteri uppe längs sluttningarna.

Fint hotel som har en fantastisk beliggenheten! Hotellet bærer sterkt preg på mangelful oppgradering. 90tallet går gjennom hele hotellet. Slitte rom men med en fantastisk utsikt. Toalett med askebeger ved siden av do isteden for toalett rull.(rom 521). Kunne gjerne vert større tv på rommet, tror det er minste tv jeg har sett de siste 20åra på et hotel. Kaffemaskin(koker) burde vert obligatorisk, det skaper en god start på dagen! Reist masse i USA, og uansett standard på motell og hotell så er det alltid en kaffemaskin(trakter). Det koster så lite, og hadde ikke merkes om man satte opp rompris med 50kroner.

A little worn around the edges, but a great place to relax. We stayed here after many days of hiking and enjoyed the spa, sitting on the lounge chairs enjoying the gorgeous view. Breakfast buffet is stellar. Dinner felt expensive and limited dining options in the area so plan for that. Walking distance to the ferry and grocery store. Rooms were quiet and soundproof with good blackout curtains, which made for great sleeping in summer nights when it’s light until very late.

Veldig flott erverdig hotell. God service. Fantastisk å bade ute i 1 grad i oppvarmet baseng. Vi hadde suite. Veldig fint rom.Luxus på alt i badet. Men det kunne vært bedre og lengre sofa til å sitte/ hvile på. Stolen kunne og hatt bedre comfort. Kunne og hatt ei stor dobbelseng, i steden for to enkle som sklei fra hverandre. Så søvnen blei ikke heilt topp på noen av oss. Med det på plass hadde alt vært heilt topp.

Beautiful location, nice rooms with a view and great swimming pool, sauna etc. Let down slightly by lack of treatments in the spa, food options and hotel run activities. For the activities, they had a desk but it wasn’t manned by the company who ran them and the Ullensvang staff were unhelpful and dismissive about organising. Also oddly the kayaks themselves were stored at the hotel but couldn’t be rented. Dining options were very limited - the restauraunt switches to a buffet in high season which was eye wateringly expensive even for Norways standards. There is a nice restaurant a few doors up for lunch and a pizza place that opens Fri, Sat and Sun but apart from that staying for a few nights would be very expensive and monotonous.

Når et slikt hotel har totalt 8 gjester så bør de sørge for at de får noen av de beste rommene. Å gi oss et familierom med vindu rett ut på veien er ikke noe å skryte av. Vi var på jobb reise og hadde planer om å jobbe litt før vi dro, men droppet det. Ble også vekket av varelevering rett utenfor vinduet. Sett pris på gjestene som kommer hele året uavhengig av sesong. Dette var skuffende for selgere som bor ganske mange døgn på hotel i løpet av året.

Det meste var helt topp bortsett fra a la carten. Vi ventet i ca 1 time på maten og da den kom var dei feil mat til den ene. De andre var nesten ferdig å spise da siste personen fikk sin middag ca 20 minutter seinere. Det var heller ikke så fullt i restauranten at det skulle ta så lang tid . Middagen var og nesten kald. Buffeten derimot var strålende . Hold dere til den 👍

Hotellet ligger på en unikt vacker plats. Det har funnits där i ca 150 år och det känns som varje år har det haft något nytt projekt som det startat, det finns rum för allting med det hänger inte alltid ihop. Men ett stort plus för tennisbanan och att de erbjuder bra tennisträning och utrustning. Inredningen på rummet och toaletterna känns som från Dallas på 80-talet men funkar. Det är inte så mycket norskt bland personalen vilket tar bort lite av de gamla anorna de gärna visar. Kort sagt, ett unikt hotell med sin styrkor och svagheter. Området runt hotellet är fantastiskt, bra pizzeria en bit bort (ganska dyr buffe på hotellet) och musteri uppe längs sluttningarna.

We were upgraded to a suite with a beautiful fjord view. It was very handy for the local bus which stopped outside the hotel and a ferry which used the hotel pier. There was no information about the hotel or facilities in the room and it lacked signs to the facilities. We ate at out in the evenings as the buffet was expensive and had to be prebooked plus there was no detail about the choice of food at buffet. midweek this was still tricky as the only other place serving evening meals closed early. The weather was great so it was good having the gardens and bars available. The family pool was closed but no maintenance appeared to happen. Floors between pools very slippy with lack of handrails.

A little worn around the edges, but a great place to relax. We stayed here after many days of hiking and enjoyed the spa, sitting on the lounge chairs enjoying the gorgeous view. Breakfast buffet is stellar. Dinner felt expensive and limited dining options in the area so plan for that. Walking distance to the ferry and grocery store. Rooms were quiet and soundproof with good blackout curtains, which made for great sleeping in summer nights when it’s light until very late.

Terrible room in disrepair. Shower soap dispenser fallen on the floor. Shower mixer fallen on the floor. Despite of 4 complaints to reception. Not fixed and refused to change our room. Dinner buffet, my advise stay away and save money. Ridiculously expensive and there is hardly any edible food. Go to the nearby pizza shop that was flooded by the hotel guests who did their research.
