À propos de cet établissement

Our wonderful luxury holiday home, Ti kêr kozh, is so special that we would love to share it with you. This charming and welcoming house, built in 1933, is located just a 15-minute walk from the Atlantic coast, where parking at the beach is free. The house has been thoroughly renovated and is surprisingly spacious inside, offering 140 m² of living space and every modern comfort you could wish for. GROUND FLOOR : A beautiful and exceptionally well-equipped kitchen-living area is at your disposal (see photos). Outside, there is a utility room with a washing machine, an additional toilet and a garage for storing bicycles and surfing equipment. Two private parking spaces are available next to the house, behind a gate. There is also a beautiful wooden sun terrace with plenty of garden furniture (see photos). In the garage, you can enjoy a four-person therapeutic infrared sauna with light and aromatherapy. Infrared heat helps relax tired muscles after a long walk and can provide a pleasant feeling of openness in the airways. Unlike a traditional sauna, it does not create a humid atmosphere that some people may find uncomfortable for breathing. Instructions are available on site. The entrance to the house is accessible for a pushchair or wheelchair. The living room is equipped with a 49-inch Smart TV with Astra 1 and Astra 2 satellite reception. In addition to a wide range of international channels, you can enjoy Dutch and Flemish television channels via TV Vlaanderen. You can also log in to your own streaming subscriptions, such as Netflix, directly on the Smart TV, or cast content from your smartphone. Comfortable leather sofas provide the perfect place to relax. There is also a computer corner with Wi-Fi and a printer, as well as a reading corner with a good selection of books and board games. SLEEPING COMFORT : The first floor has two bedrooms, each accommodating two people, as well as two ensuite bathrooms and two toilets. The first bathroom features a rain shower, toilet and washbasin. The second bathroom has a double bathtub, two washbasins and a toilet. The second floor consists of a spacious children's bedroom with one double bed and one single bed, as well as a separate toilet and washbasin. Behind double French doors is a large master bedroom with an XXL bed measuring 1.80 x 2.20m. This room is equipped with a widescreen TV (without satellite reception) and a media hub containing an old film collection that is no longer available for streaming. There are hundreds of DVDs covering every genre, and gaming is also possible without Wi-Fi—simply bring your own console. The house is ideal for two guests as well as for an entire family of 7. A bed of this size is extremely difficult to find in France, so we had to import it from the Netherlands. We do not charge extra for it, it is simply part of our service, because we believe that a good night's sleep is important. There is also a toilet and washbasin on this floor. This layout makes the house ideal for a multi-generational holiday, from grandparents to grandchildren. Couples without children and groups of friends can also enjoy a wonderful stay here. Our local bakery is just three houses away, around the corner. Please note that groups of young people wishing to party are not accepted. COMFORT FOR TALLER GUESTS : Very tall guests are especially welcome in our home. This is reflected throughout the house. The kitchen worktop, washbasins and toilets are all slightly higher than usual. The beds are sturdy and generously sized 1.60 x 2.00m and 1.80 x 2.20m equipped with quality mattresses. The sofas are solid and comfortable, making everyday life easier for taller and larger guests. The swing on our terrace can support up to 350 kg, while the Lafuma chairs are designed for weights of up to 145 kg. There is a toilet on every floor, and each toilet has a different height, allowing both smaller and taller guests to find their ideal throne! BRITTANY'S CLIMATE : Brittany seems to have only three seasons: spring, summer and autumn. Spring arrives earlier than in Northern Europe, and summer lasts longer. What we consider winter is more like autumn here, and freezing temperatures are extremely rare. Many trees even keep their leaves. October can bring an Indian summer, while the Atlantic waves become high enough for enjoyable surfing from autumn until Easter. The rainiest period is generally from November until the end of February. From March or April onwards, beautiful spring weather usually returns. Whatever the season, Brittany offers a pleasant alternative to colder northern climates and the intense heat of southern destinations. The region is known for its mild climate and spectacular natural environment. From April onwards, the campsites gradually begin to fill up. The beach of La Palue is famous among surfers and is a magnificent natural area crossed by the famous GR34 coastal hiking trail. In June and September, weather conditions can be very similar to those in July and August. October can even bring an Indian summer. The beautiful nature and cultural heritage remain exactly the same, but there are fewer visitors travelling with school-age children. ACTIVITIES : Everything related to water sports and nature can be found in and around Saint-Nic. Pentrez-Plage, our family beach, is well known for kitesurfing, search for "Kiting Pentrez" on YouTube. Windsurfing, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, skimboarding, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking can all be enjoyed on the peninsula. Local lessons are available for many of these activities. The Atlantic Ocean produces particularly impressive waves, and the Crozon Peninsula almost always has a beach offering the right conditions. The beaches of La Palue and Pentrez are especially popular with surfers. You can also take lessons in land sailing (char à voile) at Lestrevet, the beach directly adjoining our family beach. Pentrez Plage is home to a well-known surf school for both children and adults: École de Surf Pentrez. Everything related to boats and sailing is available nearby. If you prefer something less active, you can take pleasure boats to explore the many nearby islands—perfect for a little island hopping. The Pays du Ménez Hom is an excellent area for walking and hiking. Many cyclists climb Ménez Hom, which rises to approximately 330 meters and can be reached via paved roads. We provide two bicycles, while e-bikes can easily be rented locally. During the summer months, our family beach has a lifeguard station and supervised swimming areas. Climbers will also find plenty of opportunities nearby, as the landscape remains wonderfully rugged and unspoilt. The Parc naturel régional d'Armorique begins at the end of our street and stretches deep into the surrounding natural landscapes and towards the Iroise Sea. Geocaching is also extremely popular in this region—you may be surprised by how many hidden caches you can find here. Our information corner contains numerous suggested walking routes and local tips. LOCATION : Saint-Nic is a very small village where your night's sleep is wonderfully undisturbed. There is no early-morning market outside your door and no overwhelming mass tourism. You may hear church bells ringing in the distance or the occasional owl calling—but little else. The surrounding villages attract visitors, particularly during their evening Fest-Noz, traditional Breton festivals often featuring music, dancing and local food such as pancakes. The only real tourist attraction in our village is the beautiful Church of Saint-Nicaise. During the high season, you will find a cozy beach bar on the beach serving excellent cocktails, waffles, pancakes, ice creams and even hot meals with fries. In the evening, local young people often gather there, and there is sometimes live music. If you are looking for more activity, visit beautiful Quimper, with its Saturday market and charming shops and boutiques in the pedestrianized historic town center. The walled old town of Concarneau is a must-see, as is historic Locronan. Locronan is a classified village and has been recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Its international fame was further enhanced when Roman Polanski filmed Tess of the d'Urbervilles there. Search YouTube for "Locronan Roman Polanski" for a glimpse of this beautiful location. Closer to home, the always lively seaside town of Morgat attracts large crowds during the summer with its popular "Les Mardis de Morgat" Tuesday events. FOOD AND DRINK : Of course, you can buy wines from all over France here, but Brittany's specialty is cider. It is sparkling and deep golden in color, with an alcohol content often similar to that of a pilsner beer. Breton cuisine is famous for its savory pancakes made from buckwheat flour galettes or blé noir as well as sweet crêpes made from wheat flour (froment). You will also find delicious biscuits, the famous Kouign-amann, and, of course, wonderful fruits de mer. Fresh shellfish and seafood are widely available. Oysters can be purchased fresh from the sea, and at the daily market in Crozon you can often buy directly from local fishermen. In nearby Plomodiern, approximately 5 km away, you will find an Intermarché supermarket where fresh fish is also available. On Fridays, market day in Plomodiern, you can also buy the previous night's catch directly from a fisherman near the beginning of the market. Sunday is traditionally a rest day for fishermen, so fresh catches may not be available on Mondays. Brittany has an exceptionally high culinary standard, and restaurants can be found everywhere. Plomodiern even has a two-star restaurant. OUTDOOR SPACE : The enclosed 68 m² terrace and garden are private, overlooked by no one, and safe for both children and dogs. We have installed a 40 m² wooden sun terrace, while the remainder is covered with gravel. There is also a modern outdoor toilet (see photos). Garden furniture and sun loungers are stored in the utility room or garage. We also provide two city bikes and a barbecue. E-bikes can easily be rented nearby. The enclosed garage provides safe storage for bicycles and kayaks. There are also two private parking spaces beside the house, on the driveway behind the gate. We also have a separate utility room containing the heating equipment, fuel storage and washing machine. In the photos, this is the small building with the chimney and two stone benches. There are no fossil fuels used inside the house. Cooking is entirely electric, with an induction hob and a fan-assisted oven. Board games and books for all ages are available, including a collection of Agatha Christie novels. SAINT-NIC AND THE SURROUNDING REGION : Saint-Nic, a village with fewer than 800 inhabitants, is located in Brittany, in southern Finistère. The rugged natural landscape of the Pays du Ménez Hom Atlantique invites visitors to enjoy ecotourism. There are countless sporting opportunities, both on and away from the Atlantic Ocean. Our holiday home was once the village town hall and is perfectly located for the ideal combination of nature and culture. Saint-Nic is surrounded by picturesque villages with a rich historical and cultural heritage, including Villes d'Art et d'Histoire. You will also find many traces of the Celtic past, including menhirs. There are countless attractions nearby, including the large naval harbour of Brest, interesting museums, the major marine attraction Océanopolis, Pointe du Raz and Pointe de Penhir. WHY SAINT-NIC? We chose this region because it is rarely too hot or too cold. The beach is perfect for young children, while parents can enjoy cycling, surfing and challenging walks. There are plenty of attractions and festive outings, as well as excellent restaurants for grandparents. DEDUCTED FROM THE DEPOSIT : - Bathrobe and hammam towels for the IR-Sauna : 10€/pers/stay - Tourism fee 1,54/pers/day adults over 18.
