Really nice hotel for a few days stay. We stayed here before starting Shimanami Kaido!! It has bike parking😊

Great for starting Shimanami Kaido cycle. Even had bike racks in the foyer.

駅から近く、車の駐車場もすぐ隣だったので アクセス良好でした。 近くに商店街やご飯屋さんがあるので 食べ歩きにも最高です。 ただし、予約で一杯のお店がほとんどだったので必ず予約することをお勧めします。

しまなみサイクリングロードを楽しむのに最適なベース。 隣には市営駐車場とレンタルサイクルと渡し船があり、駅も目の前。 商店街にはレストランが多数。 朝食も満足。 海側なら尾道水道や向島が目の前。

I like the bike storage area

豪華さは無いものの、設備を上手く改修して快適に仕上げられているので、特に不満な点はありません。客室フロアに無料で利用できるマッサージチェアがあり、疲れたカラダをほぐすことができて助かりました。

とにかく観光に便利で最高です！ スタッフの対応も最高です。 唯一駐車場が、半額負担で且つ満車で2階の屋根無しに誘導されたのが不満でした。

Stay was fantastic! Beautiful view of the water, and great location. This was the largest room (of four) we stayed in during this trip to Japan, and was by far the most comfortable. Even the bathroom was (while not huge) much bigger than the other hotels. Restaurant was very good, with very friendly staff. Breakfast at this hotel was also excellent, and by far the best of all the hotels we stayed at on this trip. It had many great Japanese breakfast options, and made a solid attempt at a western style breakfast -better than any other hotel we stayed at during this stay (i.e. actual scrambled eggs instead of the typical runny eggs we found everywhere else). Only complaint, the in-room thermostats do not work. The hotel acknowledged this in a little write-up in the room. So we were stuck with either having the airflow on or off, and receive whatever temperature air the central system decides to push out, which was too warm during our stay, and we had no way to cool the room down. Also, the bathroom fan is absolutely ineffective, so after the two of us had showers, the room was uncomfortably humid for quite a while. The large window was dripping with condensation (they should include a dehumidifier). The window seemed to be able to open (would have helped a lot) but was locked, so we couldn't open it. They also have a small bicycle storage area in the hotel, which was great. We only stayed two nights here, but on our next trip, we will absolutely stay again!

Location was great for cycling. Close the bike rental, station and ferry. Massage chairs were a bonus.

This hotel is comfortable and quiet, incredibly convenient for accessing Onomichi and the Shimanami Kaido, but we had one major problem: the rooms smell extremely musty or perhaps of stale body odor? We stayed in two different rooms across two separate reservations on either side of our Shimanami Kaido adventure. Initially, we simply thought we had bad luck. We even asked a couple in the elevator if their room was smelly or musty, and they said theirs was fine. On our second reservation, they were about to give us the same exact room as our previous stay, and we politely explained that the room had an unpleasant odor and was it possible to switch rooms? The staff worked politely to accommodate us, and switched us to another room several doors down. No such luck: the exact same odor strongly present in the second room. The windows are also locked, so allowing in fresh air isn’t possible We searched existing reviews to see if anyone else reported this problem, and came up with nothing, which was surprising - most reviews are positively glowing. This hotel has a lot of positives in its favor - it’s convenient and overall pretty comfortable - but the odor is frankly unacceptable, and made spending time in the room unpleasant.

立地、設備などは申し分なく満足です。 が、清掃だけが不満。バスルームやアメニティ周辺、窓際、枕カバーの中など各所に髪の毛があり、一本二本ならまぁいっか、と思いますが… アメニティのコットンセットも使いかけのもので、アメニティのトレー周りにほこりもたまっている状態。 水道の蛇口、ハンドルも水滴のあとが残っていて、清掃スタッフが新人の方なら責任者のチェックを必ずしていただきたいと思いました。

バスルームの見えているのに目立たない箇所の清掃が適当！ベッド近くにコンセントが無いのは不便！ 朝食の焼鮭が不味過ぎた。

駅からのアクセスも良く、歴史を感じるホテル内も大変清潔です。

総合的には、高い評価です。 一点だけ、お風呂場の生乾きの匂いが残念でした。

Perfect location for Shimanami Kaido Cycle, very friendly & helpful staff, only problem was the mouldy smell of the room - there was also visible mould growing around the window seal probably from the condensation it had on it every night despite limited aircon use, would still consider staying again

The property is spartan and is ok for an overnight stay. It would not be suitable for a longer stay and the WiFi did not work well at all, so definitely not suitable for a business stay. I also messaged in advance with a question and did not receive a reply.

Nice view of the sea from the room

This was a great place to start the shimanami kaido bike trail. The only drawback was the room was very hot and you could neither open the window or turn the air on. The hotel controls the air conditioning for cost purposes

Stayed there 2 years ago & they are still having the same problems with their WiFi service. If hotel has a lot of guests WiFi is very unreliable. They knew about it than & wont do anything about it. Room was very warm. You can’t control the temperature at all! TV has zero non Japanese channels. Other than that it’s a nice place to stay for the price.

First, to set the context since this is one of my first reviews. 5' 10". I haven't really travelled all that much before. Overall I had a very good experience staying with them. Green Hills is "old" as in the property has been around for a while 1997 but that really only dates the aesthetics for certain aspects most people may never be bothered by such as the elevators, carpet, chair upholstery, desks, location of electrical outlets and so on. I stayed two nights, two single rooms (there with a friend) harbor-side with added breakfast. The bed was firm, there was no outlet on the built-in shelf above the bed. There was little to no noise bleeding in from the harbor at night or I wasn't that bothered by it. The room was kept fairly clean and they gift a couple of bottles of water along with some mikan in jello. The breakfast buffet was filling and there should be sufficient enough variety. You aren't going to be expecting luxury but I think you're going to be fairly comfortable. Be careful when getting into the shower, the lip of the tub is some awkward height higher than whatever the standard American tub height is.

Just across the street to JR station, pier is just under the hotel, super convenient. Walkable distance to local temple and main shopping street. Seaview provided. Even have free massage chair provided. Only problem is the Wi-Fi is weak. Staff are nice and friendly.

Right next to the station and harbor, very nice hotel to stay at after the shimanami kaido since I found the beds very comfortable.

I picked this due to location; easy walk from train station, Giant bike rental, and storage lockers, because we were doing the Shimanami Kaido ride, starting from Onomichi. The hotel itself is dated, but serviceable, and I am not knocking it because it worked well for us.

The hotel held our bags for a day while we rode the Shimanami Kaido. When we returned to check-in for our second stay, they had refrigerated two cans of beer that I had in bottle pockets on the outside of my backpack. It was a very thoughtful and kind act by the hotel staff.

I was riding the Shimanami Kaido and the Green Hill Hotel proved to be an excellent place to stay for the start. First off, it’s location is perfect. Service was great and staff were extremely polite and helpful, as expected from Japanese hotels. Check-in was easy, as was having them arrange transport for my bags to my next hotel on Omisihima Island. Once in the room the hotel further impressed me. The room was decently sized for a Japanese hotel with a gorgeous view of the harbor. The AC provided blessed relief from the heat that had been lingering up until that day I was there as did two cups of tasty citrus snacks provided for free in the room. In the morning the breakfast buffet proved to be excellent, with plenty of options to choose from including delicious seafood, as expected from a seaside hotel. I would have happily stayed another night but I had a bike ride to do.

They were able to help me forward my luggage onwards to Osaka. I had booked a room with a sea view, and the view was excellent!!! Although I requested no room cleaning, the housekeeping staff still left a bag of fresh towels outside my door each day, along with bottled water and citrus jelly, a specialty of the region. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area!

酒店各方面都好，唯獨是不能留行李超過一個天，因為我們第二會住在大三島再回來，我們只有2個旅行袋，明白這是酒店政策，不過就欠缺彈性，夏天客人也不多，所以扣分。

Staff were very kind. They arranged luggage forwarding for me. Location is excellent. It’s right by the train station and the ferry terminal for the Shimanami Kaido. Free snack + water as welcome gifts. Everything was clean.

Location is perfect for anyone cycling Shimanami Kaido. Right next to the bike rentals, ferry terminal (where you begin the ride) and Onomichi Station. Rooms were a little dated but it didn’t bother me. A great crash pad after a long day of cycling.

Very comfortable bed and pillows! Great location for starting (or in our case) finishing the shimanami kaido. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This was the perfect starting point to our Shimanami Kaido bike tour. Comfortable, convenient location with helpful staff to help us on our way (they were especially helpful in arranging our luggage to be forwarded to our ending location). Minutes away from the train station, bike rental shops and ferry terminals. Could not ask for anything more! Highly recommended

Good stay for access to the cycling path. Near station and bike hire places. Lovely view of harbour. Hotel good, and check out Little Mermaid bakery across the street, very good for breakfast etc.

Very nice hotel with bright clean rooms in a very central location. The only suggested improvement would be to have more western style breakfast choices. Despite having paid for breakfast, I tended to go to the bakery at the station instead. Overall a pleasant stay and would return if in the area.

We arrived at breakfast at 8:55am. Breakfast was until 9:30 but most of the food was already gone. No food was replaced. Do not say breakfast buffet is until 9:30 if many food items will not be available after 8:45. That is not good business practice. I feel I should be reimbursed for breakfast fee. Also average blackout curtains let in some light in early morning. The hotel was a little expensive for the accommodations received. Great location and very friendly staff.

離尾道站很近，服務人員也很親切，早餐種類很豐富

L'hôtel est très bien situé de l'autre côté de la rue de la gare, juste en haut du ferry pour visiter les îles et faire la piste cyclable. Plusieurs restaurants et épiceries/dépanneurs autour. Tout se marche pour visiter. Déjeuner très varié, surtout options japonaises mais quelques options occidentales aussi.

Good location next to a pleasant walkable promenade and covered shopping area with restaurant options. Disappointed that the main restaurant was closed on Monday evening. Hotel looks and feels new.

Great breakfast with both Japanese and western food options. Conveniently located next to train station and ferry. Also only a stone throw away from bike rentals.

とにかく眺めが最高！港沿いにデッキがあり、早起きして朝日を見ながら、朝散歩するのも最高！クルーズの乗り場もレンタサイクルもすぐそばです。 朝ごはんも種類が豊富な上に、魚などが本当に美味しかったです。スタッフさんたちも親切でした。尾道の街の人たちもとても親切で良い旅になりました。

The staff was super courteous and I LOVED the breakfast.
