Fern River Resort

My friend and I loved this property! Set amongst redwoods and lush greenery and along a river, our cabin was spacious and private. We had a bedroom, loft, futon couch, fireplace, full small kitchen, deck with chairs, picnic table and bbq grill. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. It was so soothing to sit on the deck and listen to the rushing water in the river, watching ducks fly by and stellar jays landing on the deck. Plus, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is right across the river! We can't wait to return and stay for more days!

This location is amazing! Felton is such a cute out of the way small town and only 20 min from Santa Cruz. The redwoods are such an amazing place to be in. It is instantly cooler and shady. The cabins here had just what we needed. We stayed in cabin 8 and it will be our request in the future when we go back. The river was right off our patio. The grounds are immaculate as well. The check in was super easy even though I had a problem with my card. The bed was foam and really comfortable. Everything is really close by and easy to get to. We will be back!

Beautiful location within walking distance to the state park. There’s a cute little river that runs through the back of the property. The location offers free use of games, volleyball, ping pong, board games, horseshoes and books.

Love this place super friendly and accommodating. Always a great place to stay.

I absolutely love this place and will be returning ! That said the communication isnt the best between the resort and the guest. We came back to the cabin around 9pm to find the kitchen filled with what looked like a couple thousand ants. I understand it was late and didnt expect a call back that night , but i did expect one in the morning as i did leave a voice mail explaing what was going on. I ended up "taking care" of the ants with all that i had.. boiling hot water and dawn soap. A minor inconvenience i suppose. Again ill be coming back to this lovely place in the future and will even be bringing more family as it is truly a family style resort!
