Cigarette smoke smell down the corridor. Booked a Junior suite does not exist. Central heating not working, shower alternates between tepid and freezing. No room service at all, did not see staff at all. One coffee sachet and two milk sachets, no spoons to stir tea and we were there two days, one towel between us for both days. Bed was lumpy. Overall I would never go back if they paid me, Don't book breakfast as they do not have facilities to provide any. Why did you e-mail me on Sunday to ask if I wanted breakfast? Why are you listing a four poster bed suite when it is simply a work of fiction? Loose wires on towel rail in bathroom, just as well it was not working. To be precise I will consider contact with the advertising standards people to discuss misrepresentation and false advertising. I spoke with another of your guests who had been there for a week. She said that her towels were the same as when she first arrived. She had no room service at all. This trip was supposed to be special. It was more than disappointing. I felt robbed.

This has been a beautiful place at some time. It is now sadly run down and not very clean. The two young lads I met didn't really know what they were doing. No food is available at all. As an ex food hygiene inspector, I was quite happy about that! I was surprised when one staff member suggested I could get breakfast at the Chinese takeaway up the road. My bed was really comfortable and the room was spacious. However no bins were emptied during my 3 night stay. The main corridor had not been cleaned for some time. I did not see any members of staff at all after my original contact on arrival. There is a register, presumably for fire safety purposes, but there are no instructions about needing to sign in and out. One of the fire doors in the main corridor was propped open as the closing mechanism was broken. Wonderfully peaceful surroundings, with owls and squirrels. Such a pity it is not being looked after or brought up to tolerable standards.

Never been in such a dirty hotel it was disgusting every where. It was absolutely filthy and smelled. I paid but never stayed and cant get my money back This is the absolute truth about this hotel in Rosset.

Took a long time for staff to come to the reception so that I could check in. The room was ok. After that I just showered, slept and left in the morning. so had no further interaction with anyone in the hotel.
