When we first came they gave us a room that wasn’t made up. But quickly got us a cleaned room and gave a discount on the next night. Beds were comfy and pool was awesome! Would stay again

Great smooth and friendly check-in. Have a service dog, and mentioned it, and was still charged a pet fee. We were told we'd just be charged the pet fee for one night, so that wasnt a big deal, even though it states pet fees are waived if its a service dog. (She had her vest on.) Carpets and duvets were stained like other reviews mentioned, but its an older motel and was affordable for a last min booking, so cant complain. Couldnt hear the highway traffic either, super quiet consodering. There are 2 bbqs in the garden area, a bit unkept area, and no light, so bring a flashlight, but nice to have a grill on hand. Love that u can walk right out into the garden. We had stayed here in 2017 and all the tired and dated it wasn't bad. But now in 2025, we found out that the motel was sold and the half of the motel that wasn't attached to the part with the office was turned into apartments. The remaining rooms were renovated. But new flooring and bathroom fixtures wasn’t enough. The really needed new mattresses (ours was absolutely awful, pillow top my arse), new blankets (ours had a huge hole), sheets ( ours were stained) and the smell in this place on the verge of mildew or mold. The little fridge had to be set to the coldest temp or it wasn't cold. So now things were freezing. When we arrived there was a keurig and 2 reg coffee pods and 2 decafs and 2 plain tea. 2 sugars and 2 coffeemate creamers. We were there for 6 days. On the 2nd day we put the maid sign out , hoping to have the the bed made, garbage emptied, and coffee and teas replenished and have the floors swept. Nope they made the bed and replaced towels. That's it. So we emptied our own garbage and made do. I love that they have a pool and 2 bbq's that are there for anyone to use. We were able to bbq steaks and potatoes for ourselves and our 2 adult kids who also staying there as well as my brother-in-law. Our daughters room which was directly behind us smelled bad as well. I suspect they have some kind of plumbing issue because while having a shower and the first morning water was backing up in the shower and toilet.

My second time staying at this quiet motel. It has an inner garden area and a nice pool. Rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. Appreciated the WIFI and the numerous TV channels.

The property is pretty neglected, clearly the owners don’t care. So much potential but it’s run down and filthy. There was sow sort of liquid splashed all over the walls, garbage left in the fridge and a moldy Tim Hortons muffin wrapper on the floor. The staff walked around topless and smoked more than they worked.

Cleanliness was okay. While the room was generally tidy, we did find dog hair on the floor, which was a bit off-putting. At over $200 a night, it doesn’t feel quite worth the price, especially considering the condition. That said, other places nearby tend to cost even more. In general not bad.

For the price, this motel offered nothing. The pillows are lumpy, the room itself is not very clean, when we can't into the room the heat was blowing full blast in the summer? Bathroom door wouldn't close shut, i had to kill one big bug, then looked up to see a dead mosquito hanging from the ceiling over the bed. No screen on the patio door and can't open the front window, it's nailed shut, so no fresh air is getting in unless you want the bugs. All this from just under $190. No breakfast, but parking is free. Wifi was secure too, not like most hotels. Just really really overpriced for what you get. Stayed 2 nights at a Days Inn with a fabulous free breakfast, super clean and roomy for the same price. I just can't recommend this old place for more than a few reasons, I'm sorry.

The room wasn’t very clean and not vacuumed. Front office was closed early so couldn’t get extra towels or coffee. This property is in need of some updates as curtains are stained/ripped; carpet is stained; holes in front curtains and in some of the bed sheets. The patio table outside room was dirty. The bathroom fan was in terrible condition and made loud noises and thought sparks would fly. Front seat person not very friendly at all. Not worth what we paid

Note to self, just pay a few bucks more and stay somewhere more comfortable. Being next to a highway was much too noisy, walls had no sound insulation. Heard the domestic disputes of the couple next door, banging of the bed in the other room, and constant traffic noise all day and night. Beds and pillows were brutal also. Check in staff, however we’re very nice.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Fast and friendly service and most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. Easy to find and close to either Penticton or downtown Summerland. Highly recommend and the rates are very affordable!

This property is in need of some updates as curtains are stained/ripped; carpet is stained; holes in front curtains and in some of the bed sheets. The patio table outside room was dirty. The bathroom fan was in terrible condition and made loud noises and thought sparks would fly. Front seat person not very friendly at all. Not worth what we paid

DO NOT STAY here. Disgusting property. Rude owners who are very dishonest. Neighbouring room guests shared their room smelled like urine. Not secure premises with locked doors. Not worth even cent of the $300 they refused to refund. The owners should be very ashamed of themselves.

Trout creek is a nice little community, but you have to travel to Summerland town, or Penticton for anything to eat, and Summerland with its recent slide had backups on the busy highway with one lane open.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Fast and friendly service and most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. Easy to find and close to either Penticton or downtown Summerland. Highly recommend and the rates are very affordable!

The Summerland Motel is conveniently located right off the highway, making it easy to get around the area. The building and rooms are definitely dated you can tell it's been around for a while. Cleanliness was okay. While the room was generally tidy, we did find dog hair on the floor, which was a bit off-putting. At over $200 a night, it doesn’t feel quite worth the price, especially considering the condition. That said, other places nearby tend to cost even more. In general not bad.

It is road-side motel by busy highway. So, earplugs may come handy. We didn't expect too much for one-night traveling break and were not disappointed. Room and bathroom were clean and rather spacious.

Great smooth and friendly check-in. Have a service dog, and mentioned it, and was still charged a pet fee. We were told we'd just be charged the pet fee for one night, so that wasnt a big deal, even though it states pet fees are waived if its a service dog. (She had her vest on.) Carpets and duvets were stained like other reviews mentioned, but its an older motel and was affordable for a last min booking, so cant complain. Couldnt hear the highway traffic either, super quiet consodering. There are 2 bbqs in the garden area, a bit unkept area, and no light, so bring a flashlight, but nice to have a grill on hand. Love that u can walk right out into the garden. With hotel, motel and air bnb prices skyrocketing, this may seem expensive for what it is, but its a clean bed, and clean bathroom with welcoming staff.

For the price, this motel offered nothing. The pillows are lumpy, the room itself is not very clean, when we can't into the room the heat was blowing full blast in the summer? Bathroom door wouldn't close shut, i had to kill one big bug, then looked up to see a dead mosquito hanging from the ceiling over the bed. No screen on the patio door and can't open the front window, it's nailed shut, so no fresh air is getting in unless you want the bugs. All this from just under $190. No breakfast, but parking is free. Wifi was secure too, not like most hotels. Just really really overpriced for what you get. Stayed 2 nights at a Days Inn with a fabulous free breakfast, super clean and roomy for the same price. I just can't recommend this old place for more than a few reasons, I'm sorry.

We had stayed here in 2017 and all the tired and dated it wasn't bad. But now in 2025, we found out that the motel was sold and the half of the motel that wasn't attached to the part with the office was turned into apartments. The remaining rooms were renovated. But new flooring and bathroom fixtures wasn’t enough. The really needed new mattresses (ours was absolutely awful, pillow top my arse), new blankets (ours had a huge hole), sheets ( ours were stained) and the smell in this place on the verge of mildew or mold. The little fridge had to be set to the coldest temp or it wasn't cold. So now things were freezing. When we arrived there was a keurig and 2 reg coffee pods and 2 decafs and 2 plain tea. 2 sugars and 2 coffeemate creamers. We were there for 6 days. On the 2nd day we put the maid sign out , hoping to have the the bed made, garbage emptied, and coffee and teas replenished and have the floors swept. Nope they made the bed and replaced towels. That's it. So we emptied our own garbage and made do. I love that they have a pool and 2 bbq's that are there for anyone to use. We were able to bbq steaks and potatoes for ourselves and our 2 adult kids who also staying there as well as my brother-in-law. Our daughters room which was directly behind us smelled bad as well. I suspect they have some kind of plumbing issue because while having a shower and the first morning water was backing up in the shower and toilet.

The AC unit sounded like screaming banshee that had a baseball card stuffed into its bike spokes. Couldn’t sleep. So then we had to turn it off and it was so hot, we couldn’t sleep. The washroom fan had the same issue metal on metal screeching The pendent light over the table was also dangling from the ceiling with no insulation and electrical tape holding a splice together. Total electrical hazard. No way to lock the door with a keyless lock from the inside. No chain. Or flip latch. Staff was super nice but at this price was not worth the money.

The main selling point of this hotel is the incredibly kind and compassionate lady at the front desk. She honestly made our stay enjoyable. The hotel is about 1 1/2 kms from any restaurants but she made it a worthwhile stay. She communicated with us in very relatable manner and provided excellent suggestions. I would stay there again simply for her nd her amazing son
