Our kids loved it! It had pool/ spas and wildlife whilst the husband was playing golf. So perfect for us. But this Resort sadly doesn’t seem to a maintenance plan or the staff around to support such a place. The staff that was there were lovely though too. Overall, it’s a lovely spot with wonderful potential and if you can see past the paint needed, it’s great.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room air con tempremental - one minute very cold and then warm, without even touching the dial. Showing its age but that did not impact on our stay. Service was great. Lillies restaurant not open for dinner but local pavilion open and a short walk or free shuttle away. Pool area good with a nice spa pool. Golf was great.

A good hotel to relax. The pool was amazing and the customer service was excellent. We only had a problem with the hot water in the room. No cold water came out. The water came out very hot. difficult to take a shower.

The whole experience was disappointing from start to finish. The pictures on the website do not reflect the current state of the “resort”. It is completely run down and at times you didn’t feel safe. Furniture and railings on balconies were falling apart. Lights flickering in rooms. Algae growing on pool floor. Mould growing everywhere. Large palm fronds falling throughout the gardens just missing clientele. The whole place feels sad and tired. It is a hazard and needs some serious maintenance before it is open to the public.

Disappointed with the standard of the whole property and offerings. The website is extremely misleading compared to what you are actually offered. There is nothing stated online about needing to pre-book the day spa or horseriding. There is nothing to say the petting farm won't be on. The things that we were told were available weren't as described or necessarily available either - there were no tennis racquets to use the tennis courts, there was no netball court, and the games room was not free, most of the games are coin operated. The pond to kayak in was dirty, stagnant water, not something you would want to fall into. The putt putt and other offerings at the pavilion are so run down. The pavilion itself is so run down. The room was run down and falling apart - taps coming off the wall, broken toilet seat, and just dirty. The water pressure was great for boiling hot water, but not to be able to have a nice shower. Very disappointing stay that's for sure.

The room itself had no seating so had to sit on the bed , the bathroom flooded every time we showered, one of the tv’s didn’t work. There was no internet in the rooms although this was advertised as available. Went to play on the driving range but couldn’t as the machine was broken. There was a plastic shower cap covering the smoke alarm which is a bit scary. All staff were very friendly. It was like staying in a cheap motel.

This was my second stay at the hotel. This time, it was difficult to book a buggy tour at our preferred time. The restaurant had a limited variety of food — only lamb meat was available. The jacuzzi in the pool area wasn’t working properly. The room’s air conditioning was very noisy, and the bathroom drainage was poor. There was no microwave or plates available in the room. We also experienced long waiting times at reception, and the free Wi-Fi did not work inside the room.

I regret booking a stay at this resort. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that cleanliness and maintenance were not priorities. The rooms were filthy, with visible mould in the bathroom and a damp, musty smell throughout. The furniture was old, worn out, and seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The photos online are incredibly misleading. The resort looks nothing like the pictures—everything is outdated and poorly maintained. The carpets were stained, the curtains were grimy, and I even spotted insects in the room. For the price I paid, I expected at least basic hygiene and decent accommodation. This place failed on every level. I strongly advise others to avoid this resort at all costs. You’ll save yourself the frustration and the need for a deep-cleaning shower when you get home.

The room we had was in dire need of renovation. Big holes in the wall behind the television: tiles/ stoneware missing from the bath/shower exposing sharp metal edges: cockroach in the tea cup we had left from the night before. Reminded me of some Asian regional hotels we've stayed at but with inflated Aussie prices. Balcony door lock missing, flyscreen door with holes in: a large metal strip laying on the floor near the balcony door.

Arrived at 8pm on a Friday night, by 8.20 the only food available was a packet of potato chips from the pub, or a 20min trip to Beaudesert. Fortunately the staff were kind & cooked us a bowl of hot chips, despite the kitchen being closed. Much appreciated, as we’d driven 6 hrs to get there. There was no heating in our bedroom & 3deg temp, & our door was unable to be locked with or without the key. Black hairs on the bathroom wall, dust & cobwebs everywhere, nowhere to sit with a meal, though there was ample room for a small table & chairs, terrible smell from the bathroom drain, doors partly hanging off, over bath shower is unsafe, due to the height to get into it

Location was really nice and beds were very comfortable and well cleaned. The shower curtains however had a little dirt on them and the shower water was irritable on the eyes after some time. The balcony table wasn’t properly cleaned, but staff were really nice and check in and check out was quick and smooth. Overall good place to stay if you are looking for a weekend getaway to play golf or visit the countryside.

This place is run down to a level we have not seen before simply shocking first room had water pooring thru lights and ceiling flooding the bathroom floor we were moved to another room that smelled just so bad as soon as we entered it hit you ...so over powering it smelt as tho something had died....so we were relocated again a better room but way below standard. DO youself a favour stay else where.

Over the Christmas holidays I stayed here with friends from interstate. We were very disappointed from arrival to early departure. The resort has so much potential however is not being advertised accurately. Very misleading. The level of cleanliness in our room was unacceptable, cockroaches, mouldy shower curtain, water that smelled, well, like it was potentially contaminated, the pools were unhygienic to swim in, limited food options and little recognition for our concerns from staff and management were unavailable. I resisted writing a harsh review for weeks but on reflection it had a big impact on our time and finances and overall joy during the holidays. Read the reviews before you book.

The maid service came and gave new towels and removed Garbage but did not clean coffee cups, replace teabags etc, or make the beds. The photo below shows a bug found in the bed clothes. Reception was not manned on arrival and payment was taken before arrival when I indicated I would pay at arrival according to options on the booking form. The resort was looking tired, some repairs looked dodgy the garden seemed a bit overgrown and the lagoon didn't look full or running very well.

Reminded me of some Asian regional hotels we've stayed at but with inflated Aussie prices. Balcony door lock missing, flyscreen door with holes in: a large metal strip laying on the floor near the balcony door.
The room we had was in dire need of renovation. Big holes in the wall behind the television: tiles/ stoneware missing from the bath/shower exposing sharp metal edges: cockroach in the tea cup we had left from the night before. Reminded me of some Asian regional hotels we've stayed at but with inflated Aussie prices. Shower entry dangerous. Supposed to be a spare, but no plug, rendering the tub being unsafe for a shower. Being a disabled veteran I found this disconcerting. The room had a smell to it. In the end it was a bed for the night, but far below the standard for the price.

I read the varying reviews on this hotel and I was a little wary but tbf we had no issues with the place. Yes it’s dated but it sort of goes with the wackiness of it all. Good sleep, decent room with a view, great breakfast and all within a reasonable price. The view from upper rooms are just worthy of * themselves. Don’t be put off by bad reviews the hotel is fine and cheap.

The room itself had no seating so had to sit on the bed , the bathroom flooded every time we showered, one of the tv’s didn’t work. There was no internet in the rooms although this was advertised as available. Went to play on the driving range but couldn’t as the machine was broken. There was a plastic shower cap covering the smoke alarm which is a bit scary. All staff were very friendly. It was like staying in a cheap motel.

The property is tired but I didn't like that the upkeep on balcony, shade covers, gardens is not up to date. Needs a good wash down. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms need updating. Lovely, lovely outlook and so quiet.

I had an issue with our booking not being as per request. 3 guys booked and paid for with a 2 queen bed room to be supplied. I have been trying to talk to the Manager now for 5 days and the arrogant piece of work will not take my call or respond to the emails sent to him form the poor reception staff. Good luck if you stay here hope it work out as you will not get any support from the Kooralbyn Resort if you have an issue.

This property was probably gorgeous in its heyday but is very rundown. The worst part was that no one was there when we arrived and the lobby was locked up. This was 830pm and we had not received any communication about a “no later than”… check in time. We had to call three numbers to finally reach someone who could come let us in. At no point was there ever an apology or acknowledgment as to the inconvenience. Furthermore we had splurged on the “penthouse” which is not a penthouse at all really. Not much larger than a regular room. We played 9 holes of golf but were charged for 18. Having said this, the staff we did meet were incredible, especially the lovely fellow at the halfway hut who stuck out there even in a monsoon. The golf course is beautiful and filled with kangaroos. Also sadly very run down. Pies at the turn were 👌.

Staff were so friendly and only too happy to help, always smiling. The wildlife is wonderful. The pools were great and the buffet was nice. Some of the amenities are quite run down and not well kept like the photos on the website. However overall the the price & location & convenience is was a lovely one night stay!

The maid service came and gave new towels and removed Garbage but did not clean coffee cups, replace teabags etc, or make the beds. The photo below shows a bug found in the bed clothes. Reception was not manned on arrival and payment was taken before arrival when I indicated I would pay at arrival according to options on the booking form. The resort was looking tired, some repairs looked dodgy the garden seemed a bit overgrown and the lagoon didn't look full or running very well.

The area is beautiful, very serene. The resort is a bit run down and old. But it is clean and the staff are lovely. Breakfast was great and the restaurant for breakfast is very pleasant.

Our stay was pleasant. We stayed there as we had a private function to attend in Beaudesert...easy drive. Great dinner at tavern nearby and lovely breakfast & good coffee at local cafe. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Would happily stay again.

Hotel has potential but needs better management and staff training. Also misleading information about restaurants and bars. Also big sign at entrance saying forbidden to bring own alcohol as hotel fully licensed. this only workds when the bars/restaurants are open which they are not Sundays to Thursdays.

The hotel is run down as a result of lack of maintenance. The pool was ok and the layout of the room good for a family. Without the golf course no one would come. Couldnt check in at all until 2pm. Iron electical hazard, toilet not secure to floor, safe broken, hair in cupboard, broken furniture, and cockroaches. The place felt like it had been abandoned for years. There were a multitude of trip hazards around the grounds, balconies and building walls were dilapidated, broken and rusted shade umbrellas by the pool, missing rails over water ponds etc. No activities seen eg kayaking, archery, kangaroo feeding, bush dance. Only free activities at the Pavilion mini golf & some activities on the old bowling green. No tennis just a rundown abandoned court. Food was horrendous and a rip off. Lillies Restuarant had a completely different menu to their website and offered only a buffet which was dismal charging $39pp or $20p child. You struggled to make a single plate of food let alone go back for more. Desserts were a single lamington on a plate or thawed cheesecake. Do not eat there at all. Very disappointed. The Pavilion was the other option and my husband almost got food poisoning after ordering a tbone. It smelt horrendous at the bone with all adults agreeing to be told the chef cant smell. We were floored. Plus basic cheeseburgers came out pretty much raw. I was bought to tears. Bar staff were lovely however and we thank you. Never again for us.

Fortunately the staff were kind & cooked us a bowl of hot chips, despite the kitchen being closed. Much appreciated, as we’d driven 6 hrs to get there. There was no heating in our bedroom & 3deg temp, & our door was unable to be locked with or without the key. Black hairs on the bathroom wall, dust & cobwebs everywhere, nowhere to sit with a meal, though there was ample room for a small table & chairs, terrible smell from the bathroom drain, doors partly hanging off, over bath shower is unsafe, due to the height to get into it

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room air con tempremental - one minute very cold and then warm, without even touching the dial. Showing its age but that did not impact on our stay. Service was great. Lillies restaurant not open for dinner but local pavilion open and a short walk or free shuttle away. Pool area good with a nice spa pool. Golf was great.

100% do not recommend. Hotel has not been maintained at all. Food at Lillie’s is totally different to what is advertised online. $20 for a child and all my child ate was a single sausage that was basically rubber. I myself got food poisoning from a raw cheeseburger at the Pavillon bar, pavilion bar had a good vibe/music. Wouldn’t recommend for families though as all child activities were old and run down. Won’t be returning or recommending.

It was just an overnight stay. Staff are welcoming. Room was clean. Good privacy. Chose bed n breakfast. Breakfast buffet was very good. Grounds a lovely. Would stay there again.

We recently stayed 2 nights as we had a Wedding nearby. Property was clean and tidy but is very outdated and needs a full refurbishment. The Buffet Dinner wasn’t good. The Buffet Breakfast was better but was just average. I didn’t play Golf but my friends did and they said it was expensive. Just thought for what we paid it was overpriced. It’s a shame as it could be so much better.

This "resort" is an absolute dive. Its quite clear zero money has been spent to upkeep the property. It is dirty, mouldy, decking board's are broken and coming up. There is no putt putt, games room or activities.

The Kooralbyn Valley certainly still had remnants of its glory days - it isn't impeccably manicured or polished, and it would be clearly classed as out-dated... And, I LOVED IT! My family + friends with whom we spent the long Easter weekend also share my sentiments. The place felt oh-so-nostalgic and unpretentious. The rooms and amenities are basic and quite clean, the grounds are maintained well enough. The beds are very comfortable, and were made everyday. The permanent staff members welcome you with warm, genuine and friendly smiles, even in passing. Karen at check in was patient and very professional. Tanya, Ri and Jenean at Lilies Restaurant for the buffet breakfast could work the floor with their eyes closed! The small team at the Pavilion Tavern took on an incredibly busy night that Easter Saturday like absolute champions. Foods and drinks are well-presented and served fresh in a timely manner respectively. We also celebrated a 50th birthday, and cakes "management" was made so easy from start to finish at the tavern. Our kids entertained themselves in the pools, play room, driving range and when necessary, with the huge TV in the rooms! The convenience of the little shopping village within walking distance allowed us to enjoy really delicious and authentic Indian foods too. Most in our group are well-travelled as well as acquainted with luxurious stays. Tell you what, enjoyment of this short stay will be a core memory for us all, adults and kids alike.

Tanya, Ri and Jenean at Lilies Restaurant for the buffet breakfast could work the floor with their eyes closed! The small team at the Pavilion Tavern took on an incredibly busy night that Easter Saturday like absolute champions. Foods and drinks are well-presented and served fresh in a timely manner respectively. We also celebrated a 50th birthday, and cakes "management" was made so easy from start to finish at the tavern. Our kids entertained themselves in the pools, play room, driving range and when necessary, with the huge TV in the rooms! The convenience of the little shopping village within walking distance allowed us to enjoy really delicious and authentic Indian foods too. Most in our group are well-travelled as well as acquainted with luxurious stays. Tell you what, enjoyment of this short stay will be a core memory for us all, adults and kids alike.

Was ok first room was dirty but got moved in new room and ac not working good needed a service no smart tv and flat batteries in remotes needs more up keep rubbish around the pools but overall it was ok great food just needs more up keep
