Great location and fairly quiet for the spot. Bed was terrible. Felt like sleeping on cardboard. Upper level balcony was nice place to eat a pizza. Nice to be able to keep luggage here after checkout too.

The twin bed squeaks loudly every time I move. It was hard to sleep well. The shower gets cold even when your neighbor showers at the same time. The hotel charges you additional money if you use the fridge. Even if you did want to use the fridge, it smells bad that wouldn’t want to put stuff in there. No electric kettle, no microwave. If you request to change the towels, that’s an additional charge. They explain that it’s for saving the environment but ironically their toilet’s water saving mode doesn’t work. It was real nice to have an AC in the room.

The property was in a very convenient location. Lots of shopping and restaurants are steps away. Transportation is a very short walk away, so you can get anywhere in the Venice area. Be prepared to walk and walk and walk! The only transportation is by Vaporetto(water bus). The hotel has NO ELEVATOR and 4 floors. Pack light!

Good/Fair stay. You get what you pay for. For example, although it states AC, if you want to turn it on, you must pay. Location is amazing! Staff is friendly and nice.

No water in room. No TV. No telephone. No television. No AC, so open window means a lot of mosquito bites. No elevator. Refrigerator will cost if you turn it on. Weak hair dryer. No 24-hour desk. There was baggage storage, but no public toilet after check out, which was kind of harsh. Like a guest house - not a real hotel. Venice may be the cause of some of these conditions. Old city. Small quarters. Everything expensive and overpriced actually. I wouldn’t stay here again, but will not return to Venice either, so…

The room was decent size and very clean. However the bed was very firm and the mini fridge was not usable because they make you turn off the electric in the room any time you leave. There was no TV in the room. The staff was friendly when we saw them. Beware there are many stairs to climb to get to the rooms, and the front door is in a dimly lit alley, so it can seem a bit intimidating.

Nettes kleines einfaches Hotel in einer schmalen Seitengasse, nicht weit von Rialto. Sehr hübsch in typisch venezianischem Stil eingerichtet. Das Hotel liegt im ersten Stock eines Hauses, das sicher früher mal ein Wohnhaus war. Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Personal, Zimmer ruhig und sauber, schönes großes Bad, Betten sind bequem. Negativ ist, daß es keinen Fernseher gibt und daß ab 20 Uhr kein Personal mehr im Haus ist. Folglich gibt es auch keine Hotelbar o.Ä. Für Menschen mit Behinderung wegen der steilen Treppen ungeeignet. Aber alles in allem war für uns perfekt, weil es in einem netten Viertel liegt und alles fußläufig zu erreichen ist (sogar die Biennale)

Excellent location, short walking distance to anything important! Pleasant and helpful staff! Note: no elevator, so some steps to climb, no TV, use of fridge comes with additional charge of 3 euro per day. Good value, great location!

This is unsafe place, no family oriente, no working A/C inside the rooms, no tv, to small, dirty, creepy at night time. Strong smell due to poor air circulation.

We booked our stay at Locando ai Bareteri due to it's location within Venice i.e. close to both Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, and competitive price it offered. We were not disappointed at all with our choice. We had two separate communications in the weeks leading up to our holiday, (queries about the hotel), and on both occasions received responses from hotel answering our queries. This in itself gave us a good feeling about Locando ai Bareteri before we had even arrived. The hotel itself was easy to get to, approximately 3 minutes on foot from the Alilaguna Vaporetto (water bus) stop at Rialto Bridge, and we were given a very warm welcome by Luca on our arrival. Our room was lovely, and importantly very clean. It had a large comfortable king size bed, as well as sofa and fridge. The bathroom had shower, bidet and sink. The only thing that the bedroom did not have, which we typically enjoy, was a kettle for making coffee/tea, but given we were 2 minutes walk from numerous restaurants and cafes, this was much less inconvenient than what it may have been elsewhere. It is worth mentioning that breakfast was on offer to us at Locando ai Bareteri (even being delivered to our room), we had decided we wanted to have breakfast in some of the numerous cafes close by as part of our Venice experience. We can definitely recommend Locando ai Bareteri to visitors to Venice. Positives include, location, cleanliness, helpfulness of staff and competive pricing. No negatives.

First and foremost that was a disaster and awful experience I have ever had !!! The staff were really helpless and impolite. The room was not clean and we did not got the difference between the double and triple rooms, both were the same. Actually I would say I have not seen any places like this before!!! If you want to have a pleasant time during the time that you will plan to come to Venice I would not recommend it to you !!! In one word I could say that was the worst one !!

The hotel was very clean and felt very safe. Great location and very close to the Rialto Bridge. Staff was great and very kind, even suggested a waterboat to get to the airport which was a much cheaper option to a water taxi.

A nice traditional hotel in central location. Unfortunately they gave us only the overspill room „Skipper“ although we had booked 5 months ahead of time. „Skipper“ is located directly over the hotel entrance. The front door bangs all night. Clattering and shouting from two restaurant back entrances in the Calle, too. Internet: does not work in „Skipper“ between 22:00-07:00. Heating: broken. All in all: ask before you book and refuse to take „Skipper“.

We stayed overnight. We were warmly welcomed. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent and close to all the tourist spots. There were plenty of shops and eating places nearby. Highly recommend this accomodation.

Location was great, but the room left much to be desired. The AC did not work for our whole stay, the bed was very uncomfortable with only two very thin pillows to sleep on. The hotel has thin walls so it was quite loud, but that part is not the fault of the hotel. The AC was not addressed while we were there and it made sleeping difficult unfortunately. Overall the location is great though, very close to a lot of shopping and restaurants.

The owner and staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the location was convenient without being loud. The only possible complaints are that the bed was certainly on the firm side, the flow rate of the shower was low (eco-friendly and efficient), and the WiFi was a bit spotty. Otherwise, we a fantastic and easy stay. Thank you, Luca!

Great location, nice property. The only difficulties were 1. the stairs, we were on the top floor and no elevator, so it was almost 100 steps. 2. The water pressure of the sink and shower was very low. As far as the location, it was great, the host was amazing. Very easy to walk anywhere.

My wife and I had an amazing experience staying at Locanda ai Bareteri. Lucas and all the other staff were friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. The location was very central to everywhere we wanted to visit. Luca’s pre-stay email outlined everything we needed to know, including how to get there. (A quick tip… use the City Mapper app. It got us everywhere!) we would definitely stay here again… and hopefully will get the chance to do so.

We booked our stay at Locando ai Bareteri due to it's location within Venice i.e. close to both Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, and competitive price it offered. We were not disappointed at all with our choice. We had two separate communications in the weeks leading up to our holiday, (queries about the hotel), and on both occasions received responses from hotel answering our queries. This in itself gave us a good feeling about Locando ai Bareteri before we had even arrived. The hotel itself was easy to get to, approximately 3 minutes on foot from the Alilaguna Vaporetto (water bus) stop at Rialto Bridge, and we were given a very warm welcome by Luca on our arrival. Our room was lovely, and importantly very clean. It had a large comfortable king size bed, as well as sofa and fridge. The bathroom had shower, bidet and sink. The only thing that the bedroom did not have, which we typically enjoy, was a kettle for making coffee/tea, but given we were 2 minutes walk from numerous restaurants and cafes, this was much less inconvenient than what it may have been elsewhere. It is worth mentioning that breakfast was on offer to us at Locando ai Bareteri (even being delivered to our room), we had decided we wanted to have breakfast in some of the numerous cafes close by as part of our Venice experience. We can definitely recommend Locando ai Bareteri to visitors to Venice. Positives include, location, cleanliness, helpfulness of staff and competive pricing. No negatives.

Lucca and Maria Theresa were both so helpful and genuinely kind. We arrived late but they had an envelope with the key waiting at the front desk. Breakfast was presented beautifully and so fresh! Our only caveat was no lift and we were on the 4th floor. But they told us we could leave our luggage behind the front desk and Lucca was so kind to walk our 3 suitcases over to the next hotel for us! Lovely stay!

The owner and staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the location was convenient without being loud. The only possible complaints are that the bed was certainly on the firm side, the flow rate of the shower was low (eco-friendly and efficient), and the WiFi was a bit spotty. Otherwise, we a fantastic and easy stay. Thank you, Luca!

We had a wonderful stay at Locanda ai Bareteri. The host was always available, very sweet and helpful, and the service was impeccable. The rooms are very tidy, clean, and always smelled good. There is air conditioning, which works perfectly. The hotel in general was very calm, the street is not noticeable once the windows are closed. Beautiful terrace on the top floor. San Marco is only 4 minutes away. Thank you to the host and hotel staff for this wonderful experience, we will come back!

This is a great location, 2-5 min walk to all the major attractions. Rooms are good. You have to be able to carry your luggage up some steep stairs. Our main complaint is that we were not made aware that this is a self-check-in hotel. We arrived during the check-in window hours, but the door was locked, no one answered the buzzer or phone and we had to wait 20 mins for another guest to leave and unlock the door for us. And then your keys are just sitting on the desk. The guests who let us in, stated that they had to wait 2 hours the day before. Be aware, but the location is excellent.

We stayed 2 nights, First night we had air-condition. Second night (final night) no air-conditioning. Could not get a hold of staff although they said they were reachable 24/7. Staff responded 2 days later advising they were at the bank. They knew we were leaving in the morning and didn't provide the air-condition and there was nothing we could do. once they have your money they stop responding. Be wary

But, we arrived late, from our flight in, and after we got to the hotel the lobby door is locked, luckily someone was leaving as we got there so we were able to get in and grab our keys. Room was clean but the bed was terrible, it was also loud in the streets at night. Everything in the bathroom leaked, shower, toilet, bidet, shower head literally came unattached from the hose. WiFi didn’t work, ac didn’t work, no elevator, no tv in the room. We didn’t mind these things that much, but just beware.

This place is just amazing and conveniently located in the centre of everything! Plus it’s really close to the bus boat station that goes to the Marco Polo airport. Close to st marks square and the Rialto bridge. Would stay here again.

Ein wunderbares kleines Hotel mitten im Herzen von Venedig,aber dennoch etwas versteckt in einer schmalen Gasse,wodurch man von dem ganzen Trubel etwas abgeschirmt ist. Die Lage zwischen Rialtobrücke und Markusplatz ist einfach spitze!

consiglio la Locanda Ai Bareteri, perchè in zona centrale , per la gentilezza e disponibilità di Luca . Stanza arredata in modo lineare, senza carte da parati, senza moquette, lenzuola molto pulite, letto molto comodo. Originale e molto bello l'arredamento in generale . Buona colazione con tanta frutta, torte, yogurt ect. Abbiamo avuto un disguido con l'acqua calda e Luca gentilissimo , ci ha offerto la colazione il giorno dopo.
consiglio la Locanda Ai Bareteri, perchè in zona centrale , per la gentilezza e disponibilità di Luca . Great location close to Rialto Bridge. Room size etc was great. Had to climb 4 flights to get our room so would not be good if too elderly. No ice but they found some for us. Breakfast needs to be booked in advance. Easy checkin.

Viele Ratschläge und Informationen von Luca, dem "Hausvater", waren ganz großartig. Außerdem spricht er mindestens 5 Sprachen, bereitet selbst das reichliche Frühstück vor und erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch. Er ist sehr umsichtig und unkompliziert und nicht aufdringlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Fantastic location. Hotel was very charming, breakfast every morning was very nice. Very convenient to visit all the locations on our itinerary. Luca was a great help in letting us know what's happening locally, and directions to get around town conveniently. Had a wonderful time in Venice! Hope to come back!

Excelente estadía en el hotel, nos recibieron excelente, las piezas son cómodas y el aire acondicionado funcionaba perfectamente en estos tiempos de mucho calor. Lo unico que me decepciono (un poco) fue que el ultimo dia el recepcionista estaba apurado haciendo el desayuno y apenas hicimos el check out como corresponde. Señalaría que para personas con discapacidad se haría un poco mas dificil ya que son demasiados los escalones para llegar a la pieza, pero si eres enérgico te recomiendo mil veces este hotel!

Très bon accueil, les gérants sont aux petits soins et les petits déjeuners proposés formidables avec des produits frais italiens ou internationaux, fruits de saison, croissants chauds… les chambres sont spacieuses et propres (électricité est parfois arrêtée mais il suffit de rallumer avec une clé), la literie recente, les lits parfaitement refaits chaque jour. C’est très calme car dans une petite rue non passante, un petit point noir est peut-être la difficulté de trouver l’hôtel au départ et l’absence d’ascenseur quand la chambre se trouve au 4eme étage. Mais sinon très bonne impression générale.

Séjour agréable. emplacement idéal pour visiter la ville ( Entre le pont Rialto et la place St Marc). Accueil agréable. Pour cause Covid, le petit déjeuner n'était pas inclus. Un alternative en chambre aurait pu être mise en place.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! Luca was extremely friendly and welcoming, and he made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. He was very understanding and patient with my difficulty speaking English, explaining everything clearly and making communication much easier for me. He even helped us carry our luggage upstairs, which was incredibly kind and thoughtful. The room was spotless and everything was impeccable. The air conditioning worked perfectly and cooled the room very well, which was especially appreciated. Everything was perfect! We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. Locations was great, the room was tidy and clean. Just be aware of extra charges, we had to pay daily tax which was more than quoted also as we arrived after 8pm we ended up paying a late arrival fee, there was no member of staff to greet us, a key had been left out.
