My stay didn't start out as well as I would have liked. The attendant wasn't at the front desk, so I spent my first 10 minutes of check-in just waiting on someone to show up. The room was mostly clean, but it had a VERY strong air freshener scent to the point that my smell sensitive husband had a horrific headache during the 2 day stay. We asked people we were there with if their rooms smelled and they all agreed the air freshener is way too strong. We didn't see the point in complaining or being moved because it sounded like all the rooms were that way. I would suggest turning down the smell a bit. Other than that, we didn't use any of the amenities, so I can't comment on those. Overall, I felt like the stay was just okay. I'll probably stay somewhere else if I find myself in Charlotte again.

Breakfast menu was good. Staff was friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, the guest in the room next to ours had an unattended dog who barked, howled and whimpered late at night and whenever the guest left the room. Understanding that guests love and sometimes require their animals to travel with them, it is irresponsible of them to allow their pet to create an unpleasant experience for other guests who pay to have enjoyable accommodations. Hotels should have designated areas for guests with pets and require them to follow some simple common courtesy rules while staying at hotels. I would stay at this Fairfield Inn again while visiting in Charlotte. Thank you
