The hotel is unique and "quirky". But because it is older (and I was told this upon checking in) the hot water takes a long time to come through the pipes. The towels in my bathroom were torn and frayed on the edges. And, because there is not elevator, the stairs would pose a challenge to those with mobility issues (but the site does let you know that).

NO HOT water even after 20+ minutes and toilet paper roll broken so had to turn back behind me to get tissue . Ruined my getting ready for my 50th high school class reunion used a wash cloth in shower as water barely barely luke warm. Ughh !

Took my grandma who is 77 years old. They had no elevators. Ended up calling ambulance that night since she started getting chest pain, shortness of breath do to stairs.

They didnt really have a parking structure attach to the building. It was across the street but they did have street parking. The area was nice and safe. The staff was friendly!! We were allowed to have a late check in.

No hot water and dirty room. Called and they said we didn't wait long enough for hot water. We waited over 30 minutes and still nothing. The sheets were full of hair and they said I should have reached out to house cleaning. I got in late and was tired from work. Won't give a good review AT ALL.

Hotel Burgess is an updated historic hotel in the heart of downtown Reedley. The hotel has no elevator and all rooms are on the 2nd floor. We loved staying in this nice hotel.

You can’t park anywhere near the hotel so it makes you un weary if anyone’s going to break in your car. When we went to check in, there was no staff around to help. We had to call the phone number and wait over 20 minutes in the lobby for someone to arrive to help with check-in. The doors do not unlock easily and the beds are very uncomfortable.

Very nice front desk person. However there is no housekeeping around to offer service to rooms. Also have to be patient with hot water. It takes about 10 minutes with the water running to get warm. This place has a beautiful old charm to it and its in a nice town. Was greated upon arrival and received help getting my bag up the stairs. Thank u again to the front office staff your kindness was appreciated.

Check in and check out time we’re not like many other hotels. Check in was at 5 and check out at 12. The bath tub was stained and dirty with deist from the spout.

There were so many long dark hairs on the bed, on the sink, on the nightstand…. Not sure if they just didn’t clean the sheets or if when the maid was cleaning her hair went everywhere? But I couldn’t sleep because all I could think about was that they didn’t clean the sheets. So I laid a towel over the pillow because there was a stain on that too.. otherwise nice old hotel because looks like it has history, just wish it was cleaner for our last minute stay on the way to Sequoia.

Checked my family in to find our room dirty. Floors and carpets were dirty with black clumps of hair. Requested a new room. The next room appeared to look clean until we pulled the sheets back to again find clumps of black hair on both beds. Manager gave us newly cleaned sheets but only to find more black hair. I have pictures! There is also no working smoke alarms in the rooms. We had no battery and it was not hard wired. My parents had a dead battery popped out and my sister did not even have a smoke alarm in her room. The hotel is above a smoke shop so we felt very unsafe. Needless to say we did not stay our second night.

Cute little hotel. Unfortunately the Room was dirty, matress had a gross red stain. Microwave was dirty, there were hairs everywhere, both long, short, and artificial eyelash pieces sprinkled throughout the room. Check in personnel was really nice, the asthetic was really cool.

Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed that the shower was dirty and not functioning properly. Additionally, there was long black hair on the bed. Despite arriving for check-in at 3pm, there was no one present, and I had to call for assistance, resulting in a 20-minute delay. However, they promptly resolved the issues with the room once they arrived.

Our room linen was dirty and we complained. We were moved to another room and the linen was also dirty in that room. We were missing remotes for the television the bathroom fan was hanging from the. Ceiling. Ok had reserved two other rooms. Which had the same problem with the linens. My brothers was so bad he left to another facility. The third room did not have hot water for the shower and the bed was broken in the middle where my friends wound up sleeping

Confortable bedding, very good remote-controlled AC, and a true gem for a hotel in the US: a hand held multi jets showerhead to be able to properly clean oneself after a day of hiking in Yosemite! The issue with the room we got was the light wells in the room which couldn’t be obstructed to keep the room pitch black in the morning. Needs some occulting curtains.

The entire place was hot as there is no air conditioning except for loud room units. The first room had a broken toilet seat. I requested a second room. The second room had shower doors that would not open. I went back downstairs and demanded a refund.

Broken nightstand and dangerous looking electrical plug on the lamps... it was twisted and caked in debris. The building and surrounding area is nice, historic, small town. Good breakfast spot nearby. Very friendly check in. Quiet area, easy parking. However the small furnitures could be easily replaced.

We stayed there for a wedding close by and loved the old hotel. The king bed was very comfortable and it's a quiet area. Check in was easy and staff very nice. I would stay here again.

This was a surprising pick when I needed a hotel room for a weding. I was surprised to find a newer amenities in such a historic hotel. The Hotel manager was super accomodating and very friendly. The hotel wifi was a consistently strong signal which I needed for work. The entire time I felt safe as there were security cameras everywhere on the property. If I ever am visiting the area again I will be certain to stay here again.

My stay here was amazing! Im a 27 year old woman traveling alone here for a wedding and I felt completely safe here. Wendy was amazing and made me feel comfortable. Parking was no problem at all, the building is beautiful and well taken care of. If im ever in the area again this will be the place I stay!

Hotel Burgess is an updated historic hotel in the heart of downtown Reedley. The hotel has no elevator and all rooms are on the 2nd floor. We loved staying in this nice hotel.

This historic hotel is just off "G" street, Reedley's main street, which during the 50's and 60's was the most direct path from the high school to my home. The nearby barbershop is still open and covered with memorabilia, including the vaulting pole used by my teacher, barber, and friend, Don Goosen. Parents of six classmates had careers headquartered on "G" street. The hotel preserves the atmosphere of those memorable years.

My stay at the Hotel Burgess was a pleasent one. Actually for me a perfect one. Visiting the area I was looking for a simple old school hotel. Burgess fit it to a tee. Built in early 20th century the Hotel was no frills affair. Checking in as easy. The room, I had a single, was clean and the bed as very comfortable. The whole place had been remodeled to its former elegance. It's located in the heart of Reedley, close to some wonderful restaurants, especially breakfast. There is a great dance club nearby. Over Hotel Burgess was a great stay and I'd go back again.

Located in downtown Reedley this hotel offers convenient shops to walk around and enjoy. Was a neat experience staying in a historical hotel. Location is perfect. The staff is wonderful.

Broken nightstand and dangerous looking electrical plug on the lamps... it was twisted and caked in debris. The building and surrounding area is nice, historic, small town. Good breakfast spot nearby. Very friendly check in. Quiet area, easy parking. However the small furnitures could be easily replaced.

We stayed here for one night and absolutely loved the charm of the old building. The host recommended a pub just around the corner, and it was fantastic! The craft drinks were delightful. We highly recommend staying here

Hotel bed was clean and comfortable, spacious room, only issue i had was that the floor was dusty and dirty, found a dead dried out giant roach on the floor and when walking barefooted i can feel dust oieces sticking to my feet, also my familyvwas staying there and they only had 3 towels for us 4 , only one tiny bar of soap for us to share.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel just for one night and we highly recommend this place. Excellent location. Staff was great and helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean! A lot of options to eat within walking distance from the hotel. Very satisfied with our stay!

I booked a one-night stay from Saturday to Sunday but left around 10:30 PM Saturday after seeing a large roach, over 1.5 inches long, walking across the room floor and going under the bed. I did not stay overnight and had to find another hotel that same night. I also noticed a brown stain on a hand towel and a torn bath towel. I reported the issue to the front desk and requested a full refund, but the issue was not fully resolved stating only partial refund maybe even thought I left at 1045~. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again.
