Beautiful historic inn set in the tranquility of mother nature, across from Pleasant Lake with trails in walking distance. Beautiful grounds with views of the lake from its many tables on a terrace, or if you prefer chairs on the lawn. After an hour long hike, I returned to have a delicious glass of Chardonnay on the terrace while listening to the birds. I was graced with witnessing a majestic blue heron fly by toward the lake...priceless... The room is clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The inn offers sitting rooms, a fireplace, games, books, and a dining area looking out onto the lake...just beautiful, comfortable and serene...

Lovely property, quintessential New England Inn on a a lake. Lots of Adirondack chairs and chairs to admire views over the lake. Has canoes, paddle boards and a row boat free for use of their guests, (although unfortunately someone had stolen the drain plug for row boat so we went out it sank) Check the plug! No harm done, we were only in a foot of water.

We spent a week in New England and this was by far the best accommodation. There was a lovely sitting room with a fireplace and coffee all day long. The breakfast was restaurant quality, delicious and healthy - freshly cooked eggs, plain Greek yogurt with berries, overnight oats, fresh pastries, etc. Our king room was fantastic with comfortable mattresses and even a fake fireplace with remote control. Despite the cold weather we still enjoyed the lake and beachfront, our toddler loved throwing rocks in the water. The natural setting was absolutely beautiful. Hoping to come back one day and this time will stay longer. You need a whole day to just relax and soak it all in!

the only slightly disturbing thing regarding this inn was that my room, although clean , comfortable and very nice was on the third floor. This is a very old historic building and does not have an elevator. If an elevator was there or to be added it would destroy the ambiance of this beautiful building. However I am in my 70's and climbing steep stairs was not something my knees enjoyed. I was able to fix this by taking anything I expected to need during the day downstairs in the morning. I love the inn, and almost never left the property. I would stay there again but request a second floor room the next time.

Lovely setting. The staff was very informative and incredibly accommodating and nice. Exceptional. Our dinner and the oak room with our waitress was fabulous. There is difficulty carrying bags upstairs, especially if you’re on the second floor. You do have to negotiate the various roof configuration so you do not bunk your head. Bathroom could use some more shelves and hooks. Perhaps during a sporting event such as the NBA playoffs a designated area with a TV would be nice. I understand the effort being made for the vibe. Again an excellent and friendly staff. Breakfast was great having coffee available was great.

Wonderful stay for a family celebration. Food was absolutely outstanding and the staff are incredible- warm, attentive, and accommodating. We enjoyed the kayaking, access to the water, and pickleball. The common areas are perfect for family gatherings and relaxed time together. Loved our time there and totally recommend!

Beautiful property, historic, spotless. Wish we had got there earlier to enjoy the lake. It was dark when we arrived. Check in lady was delightful. We would have stayed later in the week on our way back but they were booked up.

Room 10 had 2 windows with a view of pleasant lake! Comfortable bed ; a bit cool AC at night - found a blanket in closet Great showr despite small size. Overall staff wonderful; friendly and efficient. Great breakfast made to order. Inviting lake Was able to enjoy a small plates menu before a local show and entertained friends in the salon for happy hour. Great stay and totally recommend.

The pillows in the bed was very comfortable. Slept well! We were on the third floor in room 10 and it was a little bit warm maybe being so high up in the building, but we were able to open the window and loved the amenity of having a tower fan available in our closet. The walls are a little bit thin and we heard the person next door snoring during the night. The fan helped drown out the noise but earplugs on the bedside tables might be a nice addition. Thank you.

The breakfast was restaurant quality, delicious and healthy - freshly cooked eggs, plain Greek yogurt with berries, overnight oats, fresh pastries, etc. Our king room was fantastic with comfortable mattresses and even a fake fireplace with remote control. Despite the cold weather we still enjoyed the lake and beachfront, our toddler loved throwing rocks in the water. The natural setting was absolutely beautiful. Hoping to come back one day and this time will stay longer. You need a whole day to just relax and soak it all in!

I recently stayed at this charming inn tucked away in the New Hampshire countryside, and it was exactly what I needed—a peaceful escape from the noise of everyday life. Beautiful inn to spend time at if one is in the area. Staff is VERY accommodating. Our bed was perfect. The sitting area in our room was very nice as well. Public spaces are cozy and inviting. Breakfast was substantial. If one is pondering whether or not a stay here is questionable, then consider no longer and book a visit…the rewards are many!

The staff were fantastic. Warm and very helpful. They do teamwork well. The breakfasts were excellent. Our room had a sitting room which we enjoyed. The lake is nearby. You could walk or drive. Theres a lifeguard or two from 10 to 5 andvthe water is remarkably clean and clear. The breakfasts were extraordinary with a menu that changed daily. And a self serve area with perfectky fresh cut fruit, delicious Greek yogurt, granola, in house made pastries and a variety of juices.

The staff was friendly, especially Lisa, the room was comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was fantastic. We also loved that they had a Tesla charger right on site! There was a beautiful view of both the lake and mountain from our room, and breakfast was included!

Lovely setting. The staff was very informative and incredibly accommodating and nice. Exceptional. Our dinner and the oak room with our waitress was fabulous. There is difficulty carrying bags upstairs, especially if you’re on the second floor. You do have to negotiate the various roof configuration so you do not bunk your head. Bathroom could use some more shelves and hooks. Perhaps during a sporting event such as the NBA playoffs a designated area with a TV would be nice. I understand the effort being made for the vibe. Again an excellent and friendly staff. Breakfast was great having coffee available was great.

Wonderful stay for a family celebration. Food was absolutely outstanding and the staff are incredible- warm, attentive, and accommodating. We enjoyed the kayaking, access to the water, and pickleball. The common areas are perfect for family gatherings and relaxed time together. Loved our time there and totally recommend!

Beautiful historic inn set in the tranquility of mother nature, across from Pleasant Lake with trails in walking distance. Beautiful grounds with views of the lake from its many tables on a terrace, or if you prefer chairs on the lawn. After an hour long hike, I returned to have a delicious glass of Chardonnay on the terrace while listening to the birds. I was graced with witnessing a majestic blue heron fly by toward the lake...priceless... The room is clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The inn offers sitting rooms, a fireplace, games, books, and a dining area looking out onto the lake...just beautiful, comfortable and serene...

Room 10 had 2 windows with a view of pleasant lake! Comfortable bed ; a bit cool AC at night - found a blanket in closet Great showr despite small size. Overall staff wonderful; friendly and efficient. Great breakfast made to order. Inviting lake Was able to enjoy a small plates menu before a local show and entertained friends in the salon for happy hour. Great stay and totally recommend.

No concern about pets. Stairs could be tough for elderly especially carrying bags. Staff was great…helpful, friendly, courteous, kind ….almost filled out the Boy Scout Motto!😁 Views were serene and peaceful. Restaurant was very nice….food excellent. Hope to come back again!

This was a peaceful, charming, and lovely place to stay. The staff were very nice (we only saw three people who worked there) and they were eager to make sure we had everything we needed. The hallways are small, especially up on the third floor, and the some of the ceiling are low so you do have to pay attention but the Inn is incredibly charming. Lots of common areas to sit in and enjoy in addition to the grounds and the lake which is just across the street. It does seem like they have weddings every weekend and are sold out; I can see why it'd be a beautiful place for a wedding.
