In a corner part of the room there was no power including the a/c which also didn't work. Had to plug the coffee maker in the bathroom to make coffee.

We stayed one night at the chaparral motel. It was a delight. The people were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well-maintained even if the hotel was a little older. We would definitely stay here again.

On my arrival, later than I expected, I was greeted by whom I believe was the owner! Friendly, welcoming and polite, he quickly assisted me and I was off to a most pleasant, clean and fresh room with all amenities! Quite comfortable and peaceful! A SPECIAL THANK YOU to the room attendants!! Nemaste!🙏

We were there for the Fiddlers Frolics which was across the street. Chaparral Motel was fine, just a little outdated.. Wish they had bar soap/body wash and conditioner in the shower. The Thank You bag was a nice touch though.

Not sure if we received this particular room because we booked through Hotels.com but it was terrible in comparison to a prior stay at this location. Definitely didn’t need a white noise machine to sleep between the noise from the AC/Heat unit, the compressor on the refrigerator and the knocking in the wall from the water pipes. Staff was great. Room not so much.

This was just a quick one night stay on our way to another destination. Frankly we weren’t expecting much ; just a place to rest for the night. We were pleasantly surprised. The clerk and staff were very friendly and responded to our every need. They even gave us a hospitality bag with snacks and bottled water for 2. The room was a little small, but had an amazingly comfortable chaise lounge and the most comfortable king size bed I’ve ever had in a hotel. If you ever find yourself in Hassletville TX I highly recommend this hotel.

This is not anything against The Chapparal Inn, because they did everything to make it right, this review is for Expedia. First of all, when I booked the room a couple of months ago, I requested a ground floor room, because I can’t climb the stairs. When I called the motel, because I needed a late check in, they said that I was going to be on the second floor, because they didn’t get any information from Expedia about my request. Fortunately for me, some friends of mine had a ground floor room and agreed to swap so that I could have a room. So Chapparal Inn went above and beyond to help me, in spite of Expedia screwing it up.

This is not anything against The Chapparal Inn, because they did everything to make it right, this review is for Expedia. This cute, clean, quiet, friendly motel is on my annual route as a Winter Texan. They always give a little treat bag, which is really thoughtful. It doesn't take much to make people feel special. Chaparral does it well. I just left some papers there accidentally. Yogi was sweet as can be and mailed them to me. I'll be back!

Very nice hotel. Yogi (front desk) is the consumate gentleman and knows what hospitality means. Overall, a very pleasant stay. I would go out of my way to stay here again.

Great room, comfortable bed. Welcome gift bag was a nice surprise. Had trouble with TV at first but manager came immediately and changed out a couple wires and bingo worked great thereafter. Several food choices close by, recommend El Vaquero across from Court House. Would stay again.

Hotel is old but very clean & big size room. The owner/hotel clerk very nice and accommodating as we accidentally locked ourselves out of the room twice. Location is perfect and the variety of breakfast foods was very nice but no fruit. Great rate and would stay there again.

I booked a King Bed room for two. I was given a room with two beds, not even queen size beds, old style double beds. Room furnished in old furniture. Breakfast was also a joke, very bad! Hotels should send a scout out in the field, as this one stood out! Man with a taillight on his forehead seemed to represent the owner or manager. Very blunt with answers to our complaint. STAY away is my advice!

Always a decent choice of motel in Hallettsville for the price. Vanity area floor was slightly sticky, and the tub had a bad rust spot on the inside. Otherwise, bed was comfortable and room stayed cool.

Upon arrival, the television in Room 117 was not functional. We were moved to Room 119 where the air conditioning was not functional. We were then moved back to Room 117 where the guy fixed the television. We checked in at about 1:30 and took a short nap before attending a function. When we returned to change clothes for an after event, we were greeted by a mouse scurrying across the floor of Room 117. We immediately packed up and returned the keys at 7:00 pm. The man at the desk simply replied “Not again”. He apologized and recommended going to the Texan Hotel because “it’s newer and nicer”. We ended up having to get a room in Columbus, Texas. When I called about the refund I was promised, the owner (an angry middle-eastern man) stated the we used the room for 4 hours and stole his towel. He then said that I could “go to hell”. He refused my refund. I now have to go through Hotels.com to try to seek resolution

Upon arrival, the television in Room 117 was not functional. We were moved to Room 119 where the air conditioning was not functional. We were then moved back to Room 117 where the guy fixed the television. We checked in at about 1:30 and took a short nap before attending a function. When we returned to change clothes for an after event, we were greeted by a mouse scurrying across the floor of Room 117. We immediately packed up and returned the keys at 7:00 pm. The man at the desk simply replied “Not again”. He apologized and recommended going to the Texan Hotel because “it’s newer and nicer”. We ended up having to get a room in Columbus, Texas. When I called about the refund I was promised, the owner (an angry middle-eastern man) stated the we used the room for 4 hours and stole his towel. He then said that I could “go to hell”. He refused my refund. I now have to go through Hotels.com to try to seek resolution

Good clean room, with amenities you would expect. It has a real ice machine, the old style that you scoop instead of hold the button and wait. It was nice I’d recommend. The breakfast is mostly cereal and microwavable stuff.
