Quality Inn Terre Haute University Area

The bedding was stained but they did bring up new. The room door had clearly been kicked in. The door handles were shoddy. The only ice machine in the entire place was malfunctioning. The entire place is in disarray while they renovate. The pool was out of commission. Lobby was clean though.

It was cheap, so it was okay. There was a lot of construction going on. Shoo-ins be nice when they get done.

They are remodeling. Have wires hanging down every where. Holes where electrical outlets go. Should’ve waited to open till things were done.

The room was nice except furniture was dusty. The elevator felt unsafe and the inspection for the elevator showed it was expired.

I choose it for the pool and it was closed.

Pool was closed with nothing stating that online. Staff no where to be found when we got there to check in.

This place is in serious need of renovation. The elevator floor was all cracked and broken. The hall where our room was had no baseboards and looked like it was white washed rather than properly painted. There was a weird smell about the whole place. The only thing I can say was surprisingly good was the breakfast, which included eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, waffles, muffins, coffee, juices, etc. It was a delightful breakfast. But the other components were not good. The glass near a side entrance was broken, and you couldn't get into that door from the outside, even with a room key. Generally things seemed broken and kind of gross. The bed also made my back ache so badly I could barely walk the next day. I wouldn't recommend anything about this place but the breakfast.

My stay was ok. Nothing crazy or out the normal. The hotel was under construction during my stay so the room I was placed in still had some things needed to be completed plus the window curtains were badly torn from construction assuming. I would stay again but once all construction is completed. It’a diamond in the rough

Under heavy construction. Some spot looked good some scary. Breakfast was great, no carpet in rooms which is ok but you could tell floors not mopped.

Rooms were clean, check in was easy, breakfast was nice. All around a good deal for the price.

Absolutely filthy, we slept with our shoes beside the bed because the floor was to dirty to walk on. Grim all over the dresser, microwave and some kind of goo inside the ice container. Hotel shared a parking lot with a juvenile center. If we had booked more than one night we would have left. Disgusting isnt a strong enough word!

This is our second time staying there. Absolutely spotless. Everything smells clean and looked clean. The staff was very accommodating as I requested a room close to the elevator

The hotel was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. It was a great stay. Check in was quick and the hotel is easy to navigate around.

The motel was in very poor shape. My room reeked of cigarette smoke, didn’t have a window to open, and some of my pillowcases were dirty. It was exceedingly gross and disappointing. I was so tired the first night I just let the front desk know about the terrible smell of smoke and went to sleep. The next morning I was horrified to see makeup(I don’t wear any) and other stains on my pillow cases. Overall very disappointed and DONT recommend.

Roaches in rooms

This was the second time we have stayed here, plan on coming back again next year. Breakfast area was very clean and well stocked Personal very friendly and helpful.The room was very clean. Overall a really nice place to stay.

My first room had roaches, missing equipment from room and the electric quit working. I was moved to another room that also had missing equipment and no heat. Only cold air blew out the heater. Other people staying in facility were loud in the hallway and slamming doors all night long and talking very loudly in the hallway.

The room was very clean. The place is clean overall. I hope you like white, because everything is paintes white. Too bad the pool wasnt open. Very quiet. Breakfast was just OK. Its not fancy. Just the usual offerings. Staff is friendly. The dining room looks like a restaurant. Love the lobby area, it looks exactly like the photos.

Nice room but some sound proofing for hall noise would help.

The hotel has been renovated and it looks nice. It was comfortable. The staff was nice. The breakfast area was renovated and nice. The only problem I had was the coffee. It was horrific. I am a coffee person I live for my coffee. It was so watery And weak. It was horrible, However everything else was good.

For the price point through Expedia, $83 a night (about $102 a night after taxes) this place is just fine for a couple night's stay. I stayed on the 2nd floor. The hallway was a bit dark, mainly b/c the lights are mounted low on the walls next to each door and the hallway carpet was a bit worn. The room had been recently renovated w/ plank wood flooring. The room was large and clean, the bed comfortable. The bathroom could use some attention, the bathtub and shower seemed tired and worn. But overall, I feel I got my money's worth.

This place is a dump! The smoke detector kept going off in our room and instead of fixing the problem they ripped it out of the wall and said “it’s probably a battery issue” this was a hard-wired unit. We also reserved a room with a king bed but were put into a room with 2 double beds. When I asked for the king room I was told I should have said something at the desk but because I signed the payment release it was too late to switch. We were then told they over-sell the king rooms so this is to be expected. Stay away!!!

The property was fairly clean. The area around the hotel was not. Lots of trash, discarded clothing, young boys walking around with saggy pants. The hotel itself was clean, in the process of updating. Our room was very clean but our curtains were shredded and the view outside was creepy. The AC was not great and took a long time to cool the room. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Only complaint was the wi-fi. Had to reconnect every time you left the hotel. No auto connect.

The staff was friendly and the room, linens and towels were clean. Unfortunately there were a lot of little things in the room in a state of disrepair. When we arrived the door to the room was propped open which was concerning and there were no trash cans in the room. The door lock to the room needed repair, you haad to lift up on thw lever instead of push down. The threshold between the carpet in the room and the tile in the bathroom was missing. The drains in the batroom sink and shower were slow and you had to hold the toilet lever down until the water drained to get it to flush completely. The door on the cabinet that held the refrigerator was missing but thw hinges were still on the cabinet. This was disappointing.

My only complaint was there weren't nearly enough reachable outlets for electronic charging. The bed was comfortable but the bedding was way too heavy for the month of August. The price was right so I would probably stay there again.

The staff was nice, beds are small, lots of noise (big bang) every few minutes from something close in proximity. Ice machine not working.

I had issue with the staff never answering the phone or text. I think I lost a OneKey card there, called 5 times, and texted once, and have never received a response. I had also called the main office and did not get any help, but they did give me the phone number to the hotel. A lot of trouble for nothing on my part.

Was given a room with a broke ac so switched rooms, the employee didn’t update my room in the system so when someone came to check in in the middle of the night they gave them a key to my room where I was then woken up by a complete stranger. They offered a 20% refund. Pool was closed and dirty, lobby was clean and looked nice, breakfast was good.

House keeping knocked on our door twice while we were sleeping and still in the room to clean the room.

No one is at the front desk (has to wait 15 minutes). Not friendly at all. Emergency exits didn't work.

Helpful staff even when I was arriving late. Clean room and located near the university and cute in town areas.

Super clean easy check in, room was comfy and great deal. My only complaint was the cleaners walking into my room as I was getting changed a minute after my boyfriend left the room to load the car up. They didn’t knock or anything and then just stood there talking to me as I was getting changed and I had to yell at him to leave. Other than that great service with the lady at the front desk

The room itself was perfectly fine. This place is in absolute dire need of renovations and repair. There were open electrical boxes everywhere, cracked door glass, thr elevator railing had been pulled out, and the place looked as if it had been painted by blind painters. Really nice staff, though. Shares parking lot with juvenile justice center. Probably a convenient hotel for parents whose kids are being adjudicated.

I have never left a bad review somewhere before. However, I do not want anyone to get the experiI had. I purchased this hotel on Expedia, because in the listing photos, it looks nice. When I arrived, the interior was humid, musty, and smelled strongly of smoke, I checked in and realized as I was walking to my room how unsafe this building was. Ceiling tiles were about to fall down. Paint was splattered and massively brushed everywhere on the walls and on the carpet as well. The interior of the room was not any better. I did not feel safe staying her for other reasons as well. People were loudly arguing and people were walking around the parking lot among our cars looking like they were high on drugs. I went downstairs and asked for a refund. Because it was booked through Expedia, they would not give me a refund . I left and booked a much more expensive hotel. I’ve chatted with Expedia many times and has spent more than an hour an hour on the phone with multiple phone calls. They say they sent quality in an email regarding the situation but they will not refund me my several hundred dollars until a manager replies from quality in saying it is OK for them to do so. They have closed my case and offered a $25 one key Cash. This is not enough to cover the hundreds of dollars I lost at this hotel plus the extra money I had to spend booking a last minute hotel. have contacted quality inn 4 times. They say they don’t get the email, or know how to get a hold of there manager.

Someone stole 3/4 of my tank of gas in the parking lot in the night time I had a black 2017 Ford escape with a handicap parking I was parked at the side door near the elevators check your cameras I'm calling the police

I stay here just about every time I come to visit my son. It cost effective. Clean and close to campus.

Parking area and room was fine, nothing to brag about though. The area around the hotel was old and run down.

The listing was non refundable, which I understand. The location didn’t honor its service pets agreement. No refund provided for failure to uphold their commitment seems inappropriate. There was also a naked guy in the bushes by the front sign who appeared to be acting under the influence. I didn’t feel safe in the short walk from the parking lot into the building.

We were there to bring our daughter to Rose Hulman . I would not recommend. Very unsafe area. Crack heads, ladies of the night, frequented this lot. Section 8 people were screaming profanities all night . Fire alarms went off 3 nights in a row. Dirty, needs updates, I would not recommend. Staff were pleasant , and breakfast was accommodating. However never again !!

Shower was hot and had good pressure, and the breakfast was good with plenty of choices!

An older facility but has been well maintained and was clean. Comfortable rooms with wooden flooring and warm. The free breakfast was excellent.
