My 88 year old mom and I stayed the night while going to visit family. The room was perfect for us. King size bed, table and chairs. TV, microwave, refrigerator and huge bathroom. We were so comfortable in the room. Great breakfast I'm the.mornimg, waffles, biscuits and gravy, tea coffee, juice, All tastes good. Bed was very comfortable. , shower was great. We loved the very large lobby Great old decorations and fireplace, games, and the cockatiel birds in the cage were so sweet.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and have a mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast was included. Pets are allowed with a small fee. Gave us a room that made sense for us having a dog (close to the grass area, etc). Pleasant stay overall.

Lighthouse Inn is historical with 1940's influence. The bathtub needs better cleaning. The entrance to the Inn is dirty, dead plants and lots of trash. The grounds around the Inn need cleaned up too. The staff were delightful.

The rooms cleanliness wasnt the best. They don't move furniture to vacuum and it showed. There were old dead bugs under the night stands and spider webs. Under the fridge was someone's fake nail that you could easily see from just opening the door on the fridge. There was also smashed bugs on the walls. The bed was comfortable, but we were just more concerned about the cleanliness of the room to properly enjoy it. The building is an old hotel that needs some TLC.

The bright little room on 101 Hwy and close to old town needed a thorough deep clean. We wanted to use the ceiling fan (there is no a/c) but there was thick dust on the blades. We cleaned them ourselves. At the same time our dog was finding the pee spots in the room. The linoleum in the bath also needs a scrub and the windows were filthy. Nice linens, soft and NOT polyester. A bonus in my book. Great location.

This property is in bad shape. The first room I was given had mold in the shower, in the sink caulking, and behind the multiple missing pieces of trim. The bed had sand and crumbs on it. The area behind the bed had not been cleaned in ages, with dog hair, dust, dead spiders, and cobwebs directly behind the bed. For this, I was charged $200 for the night. The hotel manager (I assumed) was a very nice man and was sincerely apologetic, putting me in a different room. The second room was only slightly better than the first one. Peeling paint, dead bugs, and stains in the sheets are just normal fare here, apparently. In all, this place should be closed and fully renovated for the health and safety of its guests.

Very run down. Moldy shower tile grout, totally unusable without nightmares being created. The Reception area/ desk appears to be a hoarders squirrel hole. Not a fun or sanitary place to stay.

A small boutique motel. The rooms are small but the king size bed was comfortable. They have a self-serve breakfast from 7:30-9:00 but make sure you are there early. We arrived at 8:45 and there was nothing left and a long line for the waffle maker. The lobby is charming and a good place to hang. Motel is within walking distance to the downtown area with several dining options. Nice place for a night off the road.

We liked the location (near Old Town) and friendly manager...who personally helped with the free breakfast. Although "cutely" decorated with a lighthouse theme, people should know this is an older facility. In particular, the bathroom flooring needs replacing..

Older motel located right on main road. Well maintained for being an older property. Very clean and surprisingly quiet. Very comfortable bed. Conveniently located close to services and downtown area. Very affordable. WiFi could use an upgrade.

Cute and quirky older inn. Lots of character! Right on Hwy 101 but they have rooms upstairs and on the back that are quieter. My husband is sensitive to traffic noise and he had no problems. Pros: bed is very comfortable and the complimentary basket of chips is very sweet. Cons: was a bit disappointed in breakfast which sounded wonderful online but was pretty basic. Would definitely stay again!

Couch had multiple tears and was old, extremely loud from people upstairs, no AC, no ironing board or iron and also had a wet dog smell in the room. Not worth the $172 plus $20 dog deposit that was paid. Highly disappointed

Didn’t like how dirty covered in cobweb's around door. They have chair to sit outside by door but it’s so not kept up. Really disappointed. Would have loved to sit outside. The room was cute. Didn’t like the no fan in bathroom made it very muggy and couldn’t keep window open people could see in. And the curtain was sheer and the street light shined in. The bed felt like you were on your head. Clean room that was nice.

All in all good stay for the price. Bedding was clean and fresh. Good free breakfast. Noisy neighbors upstairs late.But only for a few.minutes. Traffic noise was bothersome in the morning, but expected where ot is located.

This was a great stay. It is an older hotel with lots of charm. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There is a wonderful sheet that is given listing many of the local places to see, where they are and how to pronounce them. He also pointed us in the direction of an Elk viewing area where we did spot some elk. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The staff was friendly and the place was quaint. It felt like a bed and breakfast due to it warmth. Walking distance (5min walk) to the Main Street of downtown shops and restaurants. The place itself is outdated but I gave it 5 stars due to the phenomenal price.

This is the second time we have stayed at the lighthouse inn. It is an older motel, but it is cozy and comfortable. We especially like that.It is very close to old town florence. My family was staying at the port.R v park, which was a very easy walk. Restaurants are nearby. The hukiLau next door is fabulous.

My family was staying at the port.R v park, which was a very easy walk. Restaurants are nearby. The hukiLau next door is fabulous.

Sweet little old-school roadside motel. Very nice people at the desk; I assume they were the owners. Great value and easy walking distance to Old Town.

Older motel located right on main road. Well maintained for being an older property. Very clean and surprisingly quiet. Very comfortable bed. Conveniently located close to services and downtown area. Very affordable. WiFi could use an upgrade.

All in all good stay for the price. Bedding was clean and fresh. Good free breakfast. Noisy neighbors upstairs late.But only for a few.minutes. Traffic noise was bothersome in the morning, but expected where ot is located.

Kitchen area where breakfast was prepared and served was not clean. Bags of garbage on the patio. Bathroom tub grout and caulk was dirty and moldy. Will not be staying there again.

A small boutique motel. The rooms are small but the king size bed was comfortable. They have a self-serve breakfast from 7:30-9:00 but make sure you are there early. We arrived at 8:45 and there was nothing left and a long line for the waffle maker. The lobby is charming and a good place to hang. Motel is within walking distance to the downtown area with several dining options. Nice place for a night off the road.

Property is very run down. I could be very quaint if there was good general upkeep. There is a lot of need for general upkeep, remodeling and also organization. Staff was very pleasant and breakfast was good.

Built in 1938, this quaint little family run motel definitely shows it’s wear, but that being said is clean, economical, and reasonably comfortable. The location is fabulous, being close to old town Florence and it’s many restaurants and shops. It’s a very walkable area, and the staff at the motel are very friendly and welcoming. The motel has a very retro vibe and is great for a one or two night stay. The room was basic, and reasonably comfortable with good pillows and a great TV. The bed was comfortable. If you like, homemade biscuits and gravy and waffles, then the breakfast is for you! There are no other options, so if you’re not into morning carbs, it’s best to bring your own.

The owners were welcoming; however, the breakfast was unappetizing. Homemade 'biscuits & gravy' was not edible. Waffle, (cooked by guest), was 'ok'. Choices was limited. The property is old. Could use the help of Lindsey Kurowski of Motel Rescue.

We were really disappointed in the breakfast considering it was one of the main reasons we chose this place on our route. The pictures made it look a lot nicer than it actually was condition wise and the owner made an unnecessary comment about our late arrival when we called to let them know. The room we stayed in had a cool deck but not cleaned up to enjoy. the suite did work out for our size family and gave our son basically his own room that had a jack and Jill bathroom. All around we wouldn’t stay there again but it worked for a night to sleep.

The rooms weren’t the cleanest or most up to date, but we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are planning to return. The Lighthouse Inn had character and the proprietor had breakfast for all the guests in a home style kitchen- excellent biscuits, gravy, and eggs!

The property and accommodations were very run down, the kitchen wgere breakfast was served was cluttered and dirty, the coffee pot looked like it had never been washed. The carpet in our room was stained and dirty, the shower had mildew on the ceiling. The motel itself had seen better days, very run down. Although, the bed was very comfortable and nice, everyrhing else left a lot to be desired.

Our reserved room was not what we expected, so the desk clerk offer an upstairs room. Breakfast that is offered had limited choices with no fruit, only carbs. We did not receive housekeeping services as mentioned in the property description. Dusty floors and spiders in the hallway. No fresh towels or proper toiletries soap for the next day. Poor television internet. For the price we paid per night, very dissatisfied. The photos do not specify the true aspect of this place.

If you are looking for a clean new hotel experience, this is not it. The hotel is old and the rooms are very small and in need of paint, but clean. There is a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable. If you are looking for a nostalgic experience this hotel may be your place. The staff is verry friendly and helpful. I would not stay here again.

The hotel may be historic, but it is showing its age in less than pleasant ways. The host & owner was friendly & welcoming upon our arrival, giving us a room around the back (#25); the door's exterior had been significantly damaged looking like someone had tried to kick it in (splintered & loose plywood in multiple areas). The main room itself seemed clean and bright (apple green and white paint! So...vivid!) But the windows were filthy, a thick smear of grime on all of them from some previous failed attempt at cleaning). When I went to take a shower, I couldn't miss the black mold covering much of the painted ceiling and top of the walls. The tiled section of the wall was poorly grouted and moldy. It was gross. The ceiling fan was caked in dust. So, we asked for another room; the host/owner said he had 2 that might be a bit better. He showed these to my husband and we moved to the cleaner of those. There was still mold in the shower ceiling and no fan or widow in the bathroom, but overall this room felt cleaner thanks to the newer plank flooring. The owner didn't really respond when asked about the state of the previous room and offered no reduction in price for our stay. On the positive end of things, the location is great for walks to the jetty or Old Town. They are dog friendly, which is always nice. The breakfast included with our stay was fine - 100% edible with a variety of choices. While we like to keep $ local, we won't be staying here again.
