It is always, always a pleasure to stay at Chautauqua. From check-in to check-out everything was smooth and top notch. You absolutely can not beat the restaurant on site. The food is fantastic and special requests are handled quickly and with care. Love staying and eating and hiking at Chautauqua every single time!

Clean, comfortable cabins with all the necessary amenities, but with a historical/throw-back feel. Clean, well maintained property. Nice play area for the kids. Tennis and basketball courts. A little general store with ice cream. The dining hall is very popular. No TV, but that wasn't an issue for us. The wi-fi worked fine. The park and hiking trails are always busy, but the rental cabins are on quiet, leafy streets. Beautiful views and access to the Flatirons right from your doorstep. A short drive to the Rockies to the West. The only negative for me was that the parking was VERY tight. We rented cabin 220, and the only way out was to back out the way we came in. Thankfully our large rental SUV had a modern camera setup, otherwise, it would have been tough. Still, just a great place to stay.

Very historic property right on the base of the Flatirons in Boulder. Close to everything. Go to the dining Hall for breakfast and dinner - good and reasonably priced. Because of its historic nature, THERE ARE NO TVS.

Amazing views and comfortable accommodation. I just wish they have assigned parking for the small cottages. There was a random car parking right front of our cottage (super close) pretty much the whole time.

Great location- walkable to the flatirons hiking trail and to the dining hall which had great food. Also close to Pearl Street. We arrived at night so it was difficult to find the check in building, but we eventually figured it out. Cabin was cute and well furnished.

Always a favorite when visiting Boulder! Such a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Dinning hall has great food and a cozy bar, easy access to the trails, spectacular views and only a 5 minute drive to Pearl Street or CU!

Had a wonderful time on property - pet friendly - easy access to hiking, great access to meals at the Dining Hall. The Thanksgiving dinner was very well done. The unit was very clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable of any bed in any accommodation. A supplemental heater would be great as the primary heater could not quite heat the kitchen and bath to a level that would be expected, but we made it work.

The room was very clean with modern, stylish decor. Also air conditioner worked really well, which was nice to get a break from the 90 degree heat outside. The staff was friendly and helpful, with a great location next to a gorgeous trail through the flatirons. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Only negative is no air conditioning in the columbine lodge—it was a little warm during the day when I was getting my hair and makeup done before our ceremony but it worked out. Evenings were fine with windows open. Overall loved our stay

The property is beautiful and for a family it works really well as there are hiking trails, a park, and a great play area. The only issue was our cottage had a water heater that was on demand and not a tank which led to less than ideal temps for showers. For a family with little ones that isn't a great option.

I am very happy that I booked this accommodation. I really enjoyed the nature around the lodging and the room was lovely. It was nice to have a small kitchen in the room. The staff were very helpful and responsive. I was staying in a building with several units. In the future I would stay in an upstairs unit or a stand alone cottage. There was someone above me who walked very heavy on their feet. Saving grace was that we were on the same schedule. I would definitely stay at this place again,

The Chatauqua is a unique historic property offering fairly modern cabins and access to hiking and historic dining. We booked a Queen cabin, which turned out to be a connected duplex unit and both nights we had really loud neighbors we could hear on the separated porch and in the unit. If you stay, request a non-duplex. Not the Chatauqua’s fault, just clueless people. Have a drink at the bar; the hiking is gorgeous.

It was wonderful to stay so close to Chautauqua walking/hiking trails! The bar in the dining hall was fun and accommodating! The restaurant was awful! Our food was poor and expensive. Basically, I ate a 3inch square of waffle (the chicken was inedible) for $26.00! Our cottage was clean but the HVAC system was loud and inefficient. We did not sleep well and had to leave early to get home for some rest 😞 Didn’t mind not having a dishwasher or television but not sure that was noted in reservation. Guess we need to double check next time. Overall, we’d rate the cottage a 3!

Magical place. Because the building i was in was old, despite being nicely renovated, sound does travel from second floor to first. People that are sensitive to normal human walking, which is unavoidable, should prob either stay on the second floor or stay elsewhere

First: I was asked to change cottages over the nights I booked. I adjusted reservation so that it was shortened, but then room was not ready when expected and I was not called to come get key until 5:41 PM, at which point the room had been ready for awhile, but the promised phone call or text to let me know did not happen. There was no apology when it was explained what happened. It was a communication error which can happen, but reading these reviews, it's not the first time that the room wasn't ready when expected and the communication over it simply didn't happen. I love this place, and think everyone should experience it for an extended amount of time.

I had issues with my key card not working a couple times so I had to go down to the front desk both times and get a new key. The ladies at the front desk were rude about it. Slow service at happy hour too. The hotel is a bit dated.

Wow what an experience. I absolutely loved the cottages, the hikes and the staff went above and beyond. They were so friendly from check in to check out. I highly recommend staying here. 5 stars!

This place is truly a gift. Live music, nature, and a great restaurant. Our cottage was adorable with a huge front porch and beautifully furnished. The staff members are exceptional. We also took advantage of a free history tour and a yoga class in the garden. Hiking trails are behind the property and can’t be beat. Quick drive to downtown Boulder. Highly highly recommend this place!!

We loved our little Chautauqua cottage, a stone's throw from the Flatiron Mountains and just a 10-minute drive from downtown Boulder. It's a great spot for a leisurely walk as well as a serious, vigorous hike.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Chautaqua! We ended up with a cabin right off of the trail which made access for hiking super easy (and also provided a nice view for morning coffee). Can't wait to visit again!

Always a favorite when visiting Boulder! Such a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Dinning hall has great food and a cozy bar, easy access to the trails, spectacular views and only a 5 minute drive to Pearl Street or CU!

Very historic property right on the base of the Flatirons in Boulder. Close to everything. Go to the dining Hall for breakfast and dinner - good and reasonably priced. Because of its historic nature, THERE ARE NO TVS.

Cute comfortable and cozy little cabin. The clawfoot tub was great and all the staff so great! Food also very delicious. We will 100% come stay again.

It was wonderful to stay so close to Chautauqua walking/hiking trails! The bar in the dining hall was fun and accommodating! The restaurant was awful! Our food was poor and expensive. Basically, I ate a 3inch square of waffle (the chicken was inedible) for $26.00! Our cottage was clean but the HVAC system was loud and inefficient. We did not sleep well and had to leave early to get home for some rest 😞 Didn’t mind not having a dishwasher or television but not sure that was noted in reservation. Guess we need to double check next time. Overall, we’d rate the cottage a 3!

Great location- walkable to the flatirons hiking trail and to the dining hall which had great food. Also close to Pearl Street. We arrived at night so it was difficult to find the check in building, but we eventually figured it out. Cabin was cute and well furnished.

Such an amazing place- love the access to general store, dining hall, playground, trails. The staff was so kind. My only complaint is the parking was stressful, very tight and limited. And it seemed like staff member cars would park in front of our cabin during the day and I couldn’t find a spot.

We love the location of the Chautauqua Cottages and Inn. There is a trail just outside the cottages where you can access the flatirons. Location, location, location!!! This is our 3rd time staying there and we love the friendly staff and set up of the place. Our room was small but it was fine for a long weekend. We ate dinner at the Dining Hall and the staff were exceptional and the food was good and reasonably priced. We love that place and hope to stay there again in the near future. It’s a gem in Boulder, Colorado.
