Denise was the most lovely person I've ever met. She let me know every place to eat, all the good secret beaches, events going on and all back roads to avoid traffic. She kept the pool open late and the lobby was filled with snacks coffe and read

Booked last minute and arrived late in the evening. Adorable property and room was cozy. Beds very comfortable. Will definitely return. Would have like to use the fire pit area but on limited time. Denise at the front desk was very accommodating and shared map along with beach tips to watch the sun come up.

Wasn’t satisfied for the price and lots of bugs in room. Air conditioner woukd not keep room cool enough. Pool wasn’t clean, ping pong table net was broke.

Denise at the front desk was amazing. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. It is a motel, so expect that, but room was clean and comfortable with a nice lil lawn and pool.

Not far from town and the beach. Super cute place with a nice clean room. Welcoming and helpful staff. I would like to return in the summer to use the pool and enjoy the patio area. Parking was easy and no issues with WiFi. Coffee maker in the room with extra coffee and cream available in the main office area. I booked one night and stayed two. I had to drive to restaurants and the beach but it wasn’t far and I imagine in the summer it would be a nice bike ride. They had bbqs available and the room had a mini fridge which was nice. I really liked the helpful staff.

The grounds are beautiful. The help is great as they make sure everything you need is there. Helpful with places in the area. Room was clean and comfortable.

I really enjoyed my short stay at Hamlet Inn. I am a female who was traveling alone and felt very safe here. I enjoyed sitting outside on the comfortable furniture in front of my room reading a book. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The location was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

While I was only there for one night and wish I could’ve enjoyed more in the surrounding area, I enjoyed my stay. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful and my room was very clean.

Old hotel, it gets ants and bugs get in the room easily and the beds are old and outdated.

We chose this spot for an overnight stay for a wedding and this spot did not require a two-night minimum, which was great. The property owner/manager was extremely friendly, offering However, the room had a very musty smell. Additionally, we had a second room booked which was incredibly small for one person.

The sheets were dirty on the bed, the bathroom was dirty, the property did not appear as pictured. The staff was very nice.

This was the perfect place to stay right down the street from Stony Brook University. We like that this hotel was small and we parked right outside of our room. Everything was clean and neatly organized. Plenty of towels and toiletries. It was the perfect hotel for one night so that I didn't have to drive to my conference at SBU in the morning. It would be a nice place for a weekend as well. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming.

So many bugs!!! Ants were in abundance in the bathroom all over the sink and toilet, small black bugs were on the pilllows and couch/floors of the room, not sure what they were but my fear is bed bugs. Spiders on the walls due to the many other bugs in the room being a feast for them. At first glance this was the perfect place for a quick stop to rest overnight, however it turned ugly once we were settled and started noticing the smaller creepy crawlers. I do not recommend this place nor will I stay here ever again, I don’t do bugs well at all!

This place is cute & the staff is super nice/friendly. The things I’m commenting on is it could use a little TLC in the room. The fitted sheet had yellow spots all over it. I’m sure it was clean, but the sheet looked old & it should not be used. People aren’t going to want to sleep on it. I slept on the top sheet cause it was already after 9:00 pm & I didn’t want to bother them. The cleaning crew did replace the sheet the next day, so it was taken care of with no issues. The shower curtain was crooked & looked old or at least needed to be cleaned. The shower pan was plastic or the mold & could use replacing with tile. I couldn’t get the water in the shower to be warm. It would get hot or cold. That needs to be fixed. There was an iron but the cover for the water was missing & water got all over my top when I tried to iron it. In addition there was no ironing board. No hooks in the bathroom for towels but there was hooks in the bedroom & a kinda rusty one too. The bed was comfortable. So were the pillows & there was plenty. Sometimes at other hotels there isn’t enough & I need one for my leg. Overall it was “ok” but someone needs to go thru the rooms & check to see if things needs to be done. There was a keurig for coffee, water for tea, snacks from Costco & fruits. Locals baked goods would be better. I would stay here again, cause it wasn’t terrible & again staff was wonderful…

Quaint property but could use some renovations and a good deep cleaning. Bathroom floor was visibly dirty; otherwise, the room was a nice size with average amenities. Resembles a bed and breakfast.

I felt as if booking on this site may have resulted in my getting the smallest room ive ever stayed in. Generally clean, buy there was an odd odor i couldnt identify the cause of. The A/C/heater didnt work. The large sofa barely fit and was missing cushions. Not even a shelf to hold the cable box (just resting on the sofa!). To top it off i pulled a towel off the shelf and a huge bug plopped out. Checked out 1st thing in the am to explore the beautiful area around it. Honestly despite the very nice staff i would not recommend

Room was very old. Smelly, & not worth $200.00 poor electric set up. Furniture broken, scratched. Very noisy

Very clean and comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower. Quiet. If it were very hot during our stay the air conditioning would not be great. All in all it was comfortable and convenient

The "King" and "Double Full" rooms are MUCH better than the "Queen" room. Lots of little glitches in all of them, but none truly terrible, except for the size of the "Queen" room (barely large enough to fit the bed!) and it's noisy A/C-Heat unit. Small showers may be considered "terrible" by large guests. Quaint, ageing motel that reminds me of places our family used to stay at in the 50's. Brass door keys are a fun throw-back.

Queen room has a very loud heater

We booked very last minute for business. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very dated and small but comfortable. The location was perfect for what we needed. I’d stay again

Checked in with Molly and Sara Super nice and check in was quick and efficient. They both gave recommendations for dining in the area and even gave me a map. When I checked in, I was offered a free upgrade! A very pleasant surprise. Room was clean. Great value for the price. Will stay here again.

The property is over priced. It is at college student dorm’s level but charging for a five star hotel rate. Our room had no shampoo, body wash, and the floor mat was wet when we got back to the hotel room from work. We asked for body wash but the manager said that they did not have any of it, she said that we could go somewhere else if we were not happy. We had to buy our own body wash, shampoo etc and we paid more than $700 a night. We won’t return and recommend this place.

Check inn was painfully long. Had to fill out numerous forms over and over for simple check inn

One of the most wonderful stays we have ever had. From the minute we walked in to check in until the day we left. The staff all treats you like family. ! Amazin stay , Thank you Denise and Morgan !

Man, where do I begin! In my 31 years of living this was the worst hotel experience I ever had. I am not exaggerating with any of this either. From the moment I entered the leasing office it felt uncomfortable and took Denise to get her butt off the couch. We get informed we got the "bad room" which was the advertised hotel at the most affordable rate. Then the "next day" we'll upgrade to the other room. The room was legit the smallest dungeon I ever seen. NO AC truly working, the AC unit was able to fall off the walls, cracked bathroom door, dirty bath tub, dent marks all over. We finally get to the other room snd it's barely better. To spend $500+ a night it's a legit robbery. Denise was the rudest lately in the world saying we booked the room orginally and it's acceptable and all the rooms are the same price. Meanwhile we get new keys and apparently we went to the wrong room, but the key worked? So do all rooms have the same key? Why would the key work if it was the wrong room after moving and having the worst experience coming from Florida. At check out, the yogurt was stale and on no ice. Denise knew how disgusting she was and how upset we were with an unaccptable experience, she flat out drove off and told me to throw the keys on the porch. Meanwhile others were waiting to check in and I couldn't check in properly or get any solutions figured out. Denise was incredibly rude, disgusting, unprofessional and legit robbed me from the moment I stepped foot on the property.

From the moment I first called, to the end of our stay, Denise and her team at the lovely Hamlet Inn were truly amazing! This Gem in the middle of the Hamptons was such a nice homebase while we enjoyed this beautiful area. As a hotel general manager in South Florida, I applaud and appreciate Denise's exceptional customer service. Already planning a trip back to this lovely Inn.

Perfect stay ! I have travelled all over the country and i dont think I have encountered a friendlier more helpfil staff anywhere !! Debbie at the front dest is amazing , goes above and beyond to make your stay great . Cant recommend Hamlet Inn enough. Clean, nice rooms in amazing location. AAA+++

It’s a very simple and quiet place, centered around a lot of places to go see and eat. But the hidden gem here is the owner, she is full local knowledge and places to chow down on. I would recommend this place for a weekend beach trip!

Older property in need of an update. Property was clean but needed repairs and maintenance. No breakfast only keruig coffee. Manager was helpful with suggestions for the area.
