The pool & whirlpool are nice. The workout room had nice treadmills. The room was large and comfortable. The bed is on the soft side which was great. Breakfast has good options. Location is right off the interstate. Close to the hospital w/a few businesses walkable; other exits are near as well.

Great Breakfast, nice little gym with all equipment working, love the hot tub, comfy and spacious room with plenty of USB charging plugs. Only (very minor) complaint was that the pool was cold. I would ABSOLUTELY stay there again.

An excellent experience overall. Clean, quiet, and comfortable room that appeared to be newly renovated. Often times hotel linens are too crisp and noisy and but these were soft and quiet. We were upgraded to a suite with a sitting area which was a nice surprise. You could tell looking around the room they took time to get the details right. None of the common issues you expect from some hotels in this price range, like sloppy paint and trim, tasteless wall art, poorly fit doors, towel racks falling down, shower head with mineral buildup, etc. The bathroom had a basic tub and shower with quality fixtures and Dove products throughout. The large hot tub was pleasant and was open till 10pm which fit our schedule well. The continental breakfast was fantastic, with eggs, shredded cheese, sausage, muffins, cereal, biscuits and gravy, poptarts, fruit, bagels, fresh coffee and juice, etc. There are a quite a few dining options near the hotel as well. The staff were friendly on check in and out. In my experience holiday inn express is a consistently good experience and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at another one.

My overall stay was great! Friendly staff very welcoming. The room had a few things that could have been better, like the TV had fingerprints on the screen, the bathroom mirror also had fingerprints and there was hair in the tub.

This was a good, refurbished hotel. The beds were clean and the supplies of toiletries were good quality. The floor of the bathroom was not super clean, however, as there were hairs on the floor and pink mold in the bathtub crevices.

We chose the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bridgeport based on reviews and they did not disappoint!!! Excellent service from all the staff to the cleanliness of our room. We thoroughly enjoyed the ammenities from our breakfast to the gym. I especially loved the toiletries in the bathroom! Whenever we travel to Bridgeport, this will be our home away from home!

Our stay was wonderful. Only downside was seeing a weird bug in the bathroom. It was not a bed bug or a roach. Maybe a silverfish? The pillows smelled a little bit and the carpet was coming up in parts of the room. But overall the hotel was very clean.

We were doing a 2 night stay. We were put next to the breakfast room on the first floor. We asked about moving that night but it was all they had. The ice machine was next to us. From about 10pm-12 am the ice machine was used about 100 times. There is enough light in the room to land a plane for those that enjoy no darkness. At 5:00 am the breakfast people started talking loudly in front of the room and the ice machine ran non stop, the banging of doors and food containers was also non stop until 7 am. (Think rock band) I went to the desk which was around the corner to ask if we could move for that night to a different room. The man said not unless you up grade your fee. I explained the situation and that I had a 9 hour drive the next day. It wasn’t his problem unless we paid more. We checked out and found another hotel. Never again

Pleasant one night stay at this property. I stayed at a king bed suite. The room is spacious. It came with a couch and a comfortable bed. The hotel looks newly renovated and the furnitures look modern. I noticed some water stains on the shower curtain and pink stains on the shower grout. It can get loud with doors slamming in the morning. There was one elevator running during my stay. The other one was broken. Breakfast was actually good compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. They had eggs, tater tots, biscuits and gravy and other things. They had a section just for cinnamon rolls. If you’re into simple breakfast, they had yogurt, fruits, and boiled egg :). The hotel sits on a quiet area and close exit to the interstate. Restaurants are just minutes away. Definitely would stay here again <3

The young man who checked us in was very knowledgeable about the area and helpful. Very friendly. When the television wasn't setup correctly, he came quickly and fixed it. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was looking forward to a bath and the stopper wouldn't work. While it pushed downward, it wouldn't keep water in. The shower curtain barely reached the edge of the tub.

The property was over booked (we booked 8 weeks in advance). We were given a key to an occupied room. After addressing with the front desk we we told there is nothing they can do and no additional rooms available. They were able to refund our money but we did not have a place to stay that night. They did not assist with helping to find another hotel for us and our young children. One of the worst hotel experiences. Unacceptable.

The property was over booked (we booked 8 weeks in advance). We were given a key to an occupied room. After addressing with the front desk we we told there is nothing they can do and no additional rooms available. They were able to refund our money but we did not have a place to stay that night. They did not assist with helping to find another hotel for us and our young children. One of the worst hotel experiences. Unacceptable.

Check in girl was wonderful. Last night dedk clerk was rude and unprofessional. We had asked if there was more hot chocolate and he said he would look after waiting 15 minutes while he continued on his phone he came out looked under the counter then went a door that said employees only to come out empty handedly but never bothered to tell us he was unable to find any. Just rude.

There were so many kids running up and down the hall yelling to late into the night. I went to talk to the woman at the desk about it and she said that it was ball teams (not sure why they didn’t have their own floor all to them selves) BUT she kinda blew me off like it was no big deal and made me feel like I was the problem for complaining. All I wanted was a good nights sleep since I was in the area because my husband had a heart attack the day before and I hadn’t had sleep 😳 other than that hotel was clean and bed very comfortable

Very clean and efficient hotel with some added perks for that extra day or 2 to be relaxing. The staff are amazing and made our 3-nt stay that much more enjoyable. Caitlyn, Bella, Justin and Kylie.. thanks for all that you and your other colleagues do everyday to make this location a definite return item for us.

We didn’t get to stay at the hotel as the road conditions became difficult for us to see as it was night, hard rain with no visibility and fog. We had to cancel as we felt it was unsafe to travel through the WV mountains in that condition with our your children in tow. We emailed the hotel to see if we could get a refund or a credit or at least let them know they can give up our room, and they never had the decency to reply.

The pool & whirlpool are nice. The workout room had nice treadmills. The room was large and comfortable. The bed is on the soft side which was great. Breakfast has good options. Location is right off the interstate. Close to the hospital w/a few businesses walkable; other exits are near as well.

I was looking forward to enjoying the pool and hot tub, but unfortunately the evening I got there, there was a group of 10-12 kids jumping in and out of the pool, wrestling each other, jumping on each other and purposely throwing balls at each other, which one hit me in the face. It did not help that the parents of these kids were too busy drinking and partying it up with the other parents inside the pool room, which wasn’t allowed.. and I couldn’t use the hot tub because the kids kept jumping from pool and hot tub back-and-forth. I had to literally use the hot tub the very next morning when it first opens just to enjoy it.. I wasn’t really thrilled with the breakfast choices. The eggs and sausage were not stocked up when more people were still coming down to eat. Instead of regular cream cheese, there was only “Light” and a strawberry flavor which wasn’t tasty. Also the cranberry juice that came out of the machine was watered down. On good notes… the beds were comfortable, room had good AC and the shower pressure was good!

Great Breakfast, nice little gym with all equipment working, love the hot tub, comfy and spacious room with plenty of USB charging plugs. Only (very minor) complaint was that the pool was cold. I would ABSOLUTELY stay there again.

The room was in hood condition, we had what we needed and it seemed clean. We really liked the whole bean coffee, but the breakfast was the worst we have ever had in a hotel. There was a tiny amount of eggs, 3 sausage patties and hard dry potatoes.

Sometimes it's the small things that make all the difference. We stopped here for a quick overnight and everything was exceptional. The small extra topping on the cake was the best coffee I've had at a hotel in a long time. Excellent hotel.

The hotel was nice the staff was great but our room was another story!! Upon walking into our room our temperature was set to 60 degrees both units in the room. As we had a late check in we were exhausted from the long drive and just wanted to shower and go to sleep but being that it was so cold made it impossible to do so. So we left for an hr to grab some food upon our return it was 65 still really cold we just had to layer ourself and get under the sheets for the night. It eventually got up to 70! Also we do understand that the hotel is pet friendly but if you are running an establishment allowing dogs to stay I think when cleaning the rooms should be a bit more of a deep cleaning. There was dog dander, it smelled like pee and quite a few stains on the carpet and on the sofa. If it wasn’t so late in the evening we would have switched hotels as this one was completely full and no other rooms were available.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The only problem is that the plumbing was not very good. The toilets kept getting clogged up. My brother was in a wheelchair and they had to move us from our room to another room and the other room wasn’t handicap accessible, but it’s all they had. They did the best they could for us.
