L'Arveyron Open House

Second time staying here. Excellent little hotel just outside Chamonix, quietly set near the river in the forest with great views of the Aiguille du Dru. Friendly, welcoming. Comfortable room, a triple which was effectively two rooms with lots of space. Nothing too grand but very comfortable and clean, with a balcony. The only challenge is the narrow stairs (no lift). Good buffet breakfast. And, they now serve dinner; interesting menu of good food, though a bit expensive maybe. Although not in town this hotel is very good and inexpensive for the area.

we arrived at Reception it was closed, we arrived at 2pm and on there website states early check in for 25euro which we where prepared to pay to be told that no one comes in till 4pm! So early check is was not an option! We went away and come back at 4pm and successfully checked in but to my surprise had to pay another 50euros room secure fee!(Not stated online)the Bar closed when we arrived back and we asked what time it would reopen and told it will not be and is only open 7-3pm!We said ok but we could we get some water as there was none in the room! To be told we are not able to buy water!! The receptionist words were “ you have a tap in your bathroom!!!” No food or drink available at all in the afternoon and evening! Baring in mind your around a 20 min bus ride from any shop at all!!! Could have at least got a vending machine in! Room was small with a tiny tv not 1 English Channel!and pillows where yellow. No bin,No heating and to top it off No local buses after 8.30pm and taxis from Chamonix centre is a flat rate of 20 euro!no nearby diners so had to travel to town everyday and taxi home as we didn’t want to sit in our room from 8pm looking at 4 walls! With that also the buses are extremely inconsistent!! One evening at 5.30pm we waited 1.5 hours for a bus to have 1 drive past as was full! To top the holiday we where woken every morning by the hover banging the door at 8am! Ski in & out is a mission too as it’s completely flat! Not recommended

Hotel was very basic and dated. The bar closed every night earlier than expected and the staff were inexperienced. The pool table that was shown in the pictures, rarely was available and most of the time had a cover on it. The area was nice in terms of accessing walks etc.

The staff was amazing. The location is lovely if you are an outdoors person. Next to hiking and biking trails and an easy walk to the center of town. Mountain view and comfortable outdoor seating to relax. The rooms are small but great for the price and clean. The breakfast was also very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Property is very close to Flegere cable car. Would have been nice if the bar and restaurant were open. It was raining and there were no umbrellas. Had to walk around 8 to 10 minutes in the rain to the closest restaurant for dinner. The girl at the front desk said she could not serve me beer as she was alone but in front of me gave beer to at least 2 other guests. Was disappointed by her behaviour!

Apartamento com poeira, não há elevador, pia vazando água, não há frigobar. Fomos acomodados em outro edifício, fora do principal. Barulho antes das 7:30 da manhã, por funcionário do hotel.

Great accommodation for a stay to experience the French Alps. Situated amongst the trees and views of the mountains, very peaceful. The train and road traffic didn't bother us. The room has a balcony and is perfectly comfortable. We appreciated the microwave in the foyer as we could make our early coffee. The staff are great and helpful. There is a bus stop right by the hotel that runs on the hour but it's an easy walk into town also

Great place to stay in Chamonix. Very comfortable clean room. Many hiking options at proximity. Far enough from the center to be quiet at night but still walkable to restaurants and shops. Beautiful areas. Awesome breakfast and space to work.

Room was clren. Staff were nice. Close to bus station and Chamonix town. Breakfast was excellent.

Great property , great location, friendly staff. But the bathroom and the room could use more attention.

Chambre vraiment toute sommaire. Point d'eau mal entretenu avec pas mal de traces d'humidité qui n'attendaient qu'un coup d'eponge. Aux vues des prix pratiqués, c'est de l'escroquerie. Tv, ecran hs.

Muy mal aseo… la cama tenia acaros… el aseo del baño terrible… habian jabones usados… no repetiria

Hôtel sympathique mais sur la famille de 4 personnes (chambre familiale), deux ont été piqué par des punaises de lit, dont mon fils de 10 ans, qui a été piqué partout sur le corps. Nous avons prévenu l’hôtel par téléphone et avons fait une trace écrite par e-mail. Aucun retour confirmant la bonne prise en compte de cet incident ni la garantie de mise en place de solution pour cette chambre . Je reste donc septique.

Bath was full of mold, otherwise okay-ish.

Bel endroit, propre. La literie est merveilleuse. Quelques petites choses à réparer, mais dans l'ensemble, c est un hôtel bien tenu.

Des poils et des ch veux sur le lit qui nous appartiennent pas dommage

In general this is a nice hotel, modern and cozy, placed quietly outside of the city, with regular busses nearby. The staff was friendly and breakfast was great -hence the two stars. However I cannot reccomend the dormatories. They are at ground level without a single window, has the smallest toilet and bathroom I have ever seen, the toilet door didnt work properly and there was an open hole in the floor at the back of the room (supposedly they had a water leak a few weeks prior... Not a nice look though). The worst part however is the terrible ventilation, the whole form has a weird smell, like a damp old basement, and with no windows to crack open I nealy suffocated at night. It was my worst sleep of the entire tour the Mont Blanc. On night two I finally caved and opened the door (left it open all night), which allowed for some airflow, but certainly is not a good solution either. I would not stay again, something was not right with the air in that room. Otherwise a nice hotel though.

Hôtel qui manque un peu de modernité surtout dans le mobilier. Manque de table où poser ses affaires et chambre relativement sombre. Dans l’ensemble cela s’est très bien passé mis à part cela. Hôtel éloigné quand même du centre, déplaira à certaine personne non véhiculée.

Am enchanted place just a few hundred meters outside of Chamonix. The room was big and comfortable, with a very nice terrace. The place was incredibly silent and immersed in the forest, nearby a roaring river.

Accueil sympathique. Bon séjour malgré des voisins fort bruyants, l’insonorisation des chambres étant faible.

객실이 깨끗하고 무엇보다 화장실이 넓고 욕조도 있어서 너무 좋았어요. 객실 뷰도 산이 보이는 뷰라서 오전에 기분 좋게 일어날 수 있었네요. 조식도 프랑스식 조식이라 저는 너무 만족해요. 여행하다보면 저녁을 늘 해비하게 먹어서 조식은 가볍게 먹고 싶은데 그러기 딱 좋은 메뉴였어요. 커피도 맛있고 빵, 잼 종류도 다양해서 기분 좋게 먹고 나왔네요. 그리고 주변 풍경이 너무 아름답고 스키 타시는 분들은 진짜 접근성이 좋은 숙소인 것 같아요. 스키로 이동 가능한 길이 아주 가까이에 있어요.

Check in staff did not give the impression of efficiency. Slow and more concerned with staring at a computer screen. Room too small, dated and badly laid out. Outside was poor with broken paving on path. Will not be back.

Le condizioni dell hotel, è un hitel molto vecchio con camere molto vecchie, pero belle spaziose. Diciamo che non rispetta molto le foto che si vedono sul sito.

2km away from Town center, need a short bus ride. The dorm room doesn't have any window so bad ventilation. Can get quite hot in the summer The bunk beds doesn't have any curtain/compartment for extra privacy Toilet and shower are right inside the dorm room, more convenient but can be quite noisy in the night

Over all, easy access by public transportation, very nice room, clean, friendly staff but very long waiting time for check in. They have to improve the process.

très bonne expérience. J'ai un problème dans ma chambre à l'arrivée, ce problème à immédiatement été réglé, on m'a changé de chambre. le personnel est très agréable et souriant. hôtel conviviale et très agréable.

Wonderful place to stay in the Chamonix area! Sol and Enrique are the Argentinian stars of the reception and breakfast area. Very good coffee (with oatmilk) and delicious pastry!

Unfortunately, i broke my ankle just before arriving here. The staff went out of their way to help me. It seems like i am in a beautiful location with trails right outside my window. It's ashame i can't walk, but i will be back!

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans cet hôtel au milieu des bois. À seulement 50m un arrêt de bus nous conduit à Chamonix en 5min top chrono (pensez à demander la carte d’hôte pour avoir des tarifs avantageux sur les bus et les trains ☺️). Le petit déjeuné très varié est également incroyable ! Le personnel est agréable et serviable. C’est un bon rapport qualité-prix pour la région. Nous reviendrons !

This hotel is definitely a bit out of the way if you are visiting Chamonix but the complimentary bus stops on the road outside. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. It has great access to some lovely walking routes. The rooms are simple but clean and serviced every day. Maybe check what room you’re in if you are a very light sleeper as the road and railway line are nearby.

Great room. Great place to stay away from the busy Running Week (UTMB). 30 min walk from downtown Chamonix.

Recommend it as away from the masses but convenient for getting around

Lovely setting on the edge of Chamonix. Easy walk into the town.

À 1km de la télécabine La Flégère où débutait notre tour. Bon petit déjeuner avec belle variété. Arrêt d’autobus juste devant

Dommage que la route très passagère soit à proximité car sinon le cadre est idyllique. Le confort un peu rustique mais très propres.

Lovely small hotel a short way of of the town centre. the rooms had lovely views. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were clean and comfy
