There were ants all over the kitchen area. Found mouse feces in the beds. Pool was like a swamp with two by fours floating in it. Ice machine was nonfunctional and has mold inside. Hot tub was nonfunctional. Advertised game room/arcade was just a ping pong table and room was riddled with trash.

Hotel building is 1950s style and never really updated. They do have Wi-Fi and a tv. Pool is empty. With that said, you get what you pay for. Only paid $125 a night. Shouldn’t expect much.

Great location in North Shore. Staff is fantastic and goes out of their way to help guests in every way. Nice centrally located simple motel room in a busy area. Parking situation was a bit rough though.

Fun, not fancy but Throwback vintage motel, Super quaint, central to everything in kings beach , very walkable, free parking , super close walk to water . Park at your door is so easy and nice to get car packed/unpacked. Definitely could be refreshed but it was fine for us. Beds could be updated too but we slept. No AC , not biggie for us with the provided fan and pleasant temps

This was very run down. There was construction on the side of my bedroom at 6:45 in the morning! The pool had no water in it so we couldn't go swimming. The whole property was dilapidated

There's a reason this is the cheapest option within a 50 mile radius of Tahoe. The room was technically "cleaned" before we got there but it was not clean. No AC. The sheets were too small for the bed and would slid of a corner every time you sat down. Overall, just a very unpleasant place to stay.

Older property, mold in bathroom shower, carpet was old and felt dirty, out dated, the owner/manager was nice We didn’t sleep in the room, we found another hotel. It did have a very nice, large TV and a coffee maker … good location in Kings Beach area

The rooms itself weren’t great. Even though we were told they have been renovated recently, it still seems pretty old, and some rooms I’d say are dirtier than the others. However, the services were fine, I asked if we can get a different room than the one assigned to us because we weren’t satisfied with it, and they did give us a better room. They even offered to give us a free night stay and give us a full refund because we weren’t satisfied with the first room, but it wasn’t necessary. I’d say the best feature is that it’s a quarter mile away from the beach, and it’s just easy for us to walk around the area without any worries. This place is also probably the most affordable deal you can get, so if you’re okay with not being in a fancy hotel and to save hundreds of dollars, this place might be for you.

Attention to ceiling is crucial for cleanliness. So much dust dripping off the ceiling and cobwebs. Wish there was air conditioning but the price was good and the bed was comfortable enough. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Check-in was easy, friendly staff. Room was good, except the lack of air conditioning. The box fan in the window worked fine to keep the room cool during the day. However, at night the room got too cold and had to wake up to turn it off. Still, for the price the room was a good value for the area.

I’m hiking Tahoe Rim Trail and use this as a resupply stop. It’s well positioned for either Blockaway Summit or Mount Rose. The people are very friendly and kind storing my material for my pick up. Room is large. Nice bathroom has a pool and chairs.

This was our first time staying at this quaint little hotel. The staff was amazing, and very quick to respond to our needs. Like most hotels in the area, it was an older building, but that's what gives it charm and a unique experience. There was a full kitchen and a separate bedroom. Even though the water temperature had some difficulty staying in one place, the manager was on top of getting things in working order. If you have ever lived in an house that is over 40 years old, you know there are quirks that may need attention. The best part was knowing that the staff understood this, and were more than happy to tend to our needs. You just need to ask, so don't be shy when something isn't working right or needs to be taken care of. The staff know things are older and need more TLC. Overall, we had a great stay, and will definitely stay here again!!

Overall a good value for the location, but it's definitely a standard motel room. Beds are alright, parking was convenient, and there's a fridge and microwave in the room. The rooms aren't super lavish or updated, there's stains/marks on the walls and patches on the carpets. No mold or weird smells, but definitely not a snazzy place.

The property was a little outdated. The staff was extremely nice. The room was large and each bed had its own room which I loved. The carpet and linen were old and needs to be changed out. For the price I would recommend. You are close to the beach and downtown Kings Besch.

The property's location is great: very quiet and safe and next to beach. I booked a double bed room and got a room with an upper loft, and there are totally four beds in the unit. The owner is super nice and professional.

When we checked in we were given keys to a room that was inhabited and had a dog. We could have been bit and I was fearful the same could happen to us and some random person would walk in on us in the middle of the night. There’s no additional lock when you get inside the room and the old fashioned door keys open both door locks. The comforter and pillow cases were dirty. The pillows were thin and the bed frame was not attached so the pillows would slip in between the wall and bed. The bed was old and springy. The shower was moldy and they caulked over the mold. The hotel has not been updated in years and the carpet smells moldy. No air conditioning. The heater worked but was a little noisy. The TV worked if you had the right light switch on. The microwave worked if you had the right light switch on. The fridge worked. There was not enough lighting in the room unless you wanted to leave the blinds open and have people walking by look right in. Lighting is only by lamp in the bedroom. We also were only there for about 12 hours and ants were going after our food from dinner time. It’s not worth the little they charge and I’ll pay the $50 to stay somewhere more comfortable next time.

The management at the hotel is wonderful and highly accommodating to guest. He helped us arrange transportation to a concert and really went the extra mile with customer service. The hotel is humble but clean and the bed was super comfortable after a night of dancing. It’s super convenient to kings beach and the crystal bay club if you’re going to a concert.

Great location near Northstar, lake and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful; she was awesome! This place fits all my needs and it is very affordable. However like what another reviewer mentioned... "if you're a high-end, resort-hotel traveler, you may not feel as comfy. This is a cozy, warm, inviting place. An older establishment, it has its age on its face, but don't let that deter you... - Elora Lyon" I would stay here again!

Perfect low-key, low-cost spot to take my dog for a Tahoe getaway, 5-minute walk to Kings Beach & lots of food nearby. Manager was friendly and while the motel is older and has some wear & tear, everything was clean and the room was more spacious that I was expecting. I would absolutely stay here again. If you're really coming to Lake Tahoe for a luxury resort, you're doing it wrong.

Perfect low-key, low-cost spot to take my dog for a Tahoe getaway, 5-minute walk to Kings Beach & lots of food nearby. This was exactly what we were expecting for our stay on the north shore. The room was adequate and had all we needed. Yes, it could be updated, but our plan wasn't to stay in the room other than to rest and sleep. It's proximity to Incline and Tahoe City was great and we were able to walk down to the lake to enjoy the sunset.

Really close to Crystal Bay casino for shows. It's a small mom-pa place. It's not extravagant if that's what you're looking for. Perfect for going to North shore sitting on the beach and catching a show at night.

Had a great experience. You can't beat the price. Rooms are dated, but very comfortable and warm. Microwave and fridge helped me save a few bucks by grabbing dinner and breakfast at local grocery. Check in was easy and was able to park right in front of the room. Area was really quiet as well. Great location with close access to breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Can walk to Kings Beach area using a back road if you wanted as well. Will definitely stay again.

This is definitely a dive, but for a reasonable price you can stay at the lake. It will not be luxury, but you will be safe and it is clean enough for a night. In cold months bring an extra blanket.

The man that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. It is an old hotel. Seems like people are living there. Carpet dirty.

This is an old style motel. Pros: Great location, and walking distance to the town. Quiet location. Able to park next to room. Host could not have been more friendly/helpful. Walking distance to the beach on the lake. Cons: Definitely could use some updates. The bed was well past its normal lifespan with squeeky springs when you sat on it or rolled over. The upholstery on the chairs had endless stains on the fabric. The light fixtures in the bathroom were rusty. The room could definitely use a paint job. Clean but well woren. Since I was not in the room except at night to sleep these issues did not effect my stay
