Stayed for 1 night in August. Lack of receptionist on arrival let it down. People arrived an hour before us and were still waiting for someone to arrive and book them in. Cleaning staff came down and got us sorted. They could not do enough for us and were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Comfortable en suite rooms and plenty of parking. The hotel is fairly basic and only offer a continental breakfast in a bag. It would probably benefit by at least offering a cooked breakfast. Overall enjoyed staying at the limes and would definitely use again if we revisit Stratford Upon Avon.

I was disappointed to find there wasn’t a bar as advertised, but that was just a minor disappointment. The room itself felt quite tired and tatty, the décor was very outdated, with worn furnishings and a general sense that it hasn’t been refreshed in a long time. There was also a fair amount of dust, and the sound insulation between rooms was almost non-existent. I don’t mind budget accommodation, but I expected something cleaner and more comfortable. A Travelodge would have been far better value for the same price.

We thought the actual hotel was fine, it was easy to find, there was plenty of free parking available and the members of staff we met were most helpful. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom sink was almost blocked but we mentioned it to reception and I got the clear impression they would deal with it immediately! We only stayed one night but would stay again if we were in the area.

We booked this late afternoon with an arrival time of 8pm. Got caught in traffic, phoned up and explained the situation. Michael couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. As it was we made up some time and he was there to greet us. Breakfast was a little disappointing but the room and facilities were comfortable enough. Good parking to rear.

Very disappointing. Having stayed here several times previously this was not the same experience. Prior to arrival payment had been taken. This was a first having stay in many hotels UK wide. On arrival on friday afternoon we were abruptly told no breakfast tomorrow due to a kitchen problem. We were subsequently advised no cook was available. We were offer a cooked breakfast on Sunday morning however we declined. The general Cleanliness inside and out was very poor. Externally, dity patio and patio furniture. Internally we requested the numerous cobwebs and spiders be removed from our room. No house keeping was present which resulted in us requesting fresh towels and toilet rolls when we caught someone at reception. All in all very disappointing.

My room was spotless, bed very comfortable and whilst arrival seemed odd the member of staff who greeted me was polite and helpful. They do not provide catering, which is not an issue unless you want a cooked breakfast. There is a breakfast box in the room with fruit, danish pastries and instant porridge pot which not being a breakfast person was fine. Dinner can be obtained at a pub 1 minute walk from the hotel. As a business trip stopover a good place to saty

The one night stay was fine, the person at reception coukd have been abit mire welcoming but he made a good gin n tonic so will let him off :). The room was spacious , bed was comfortable but needed air con as quite warm especially in an upstairs room. The shower also did not drain properly. Fine for 1 night, good pub close by for dinner.

Toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly. Outside seating areas had ashtrays that hadn’t been emptied. Room was next to front door so really noisy. Hottest room I’ve ever stayed in as no air con, just a fan to move the air around. Window couldn’t be left open as the catch can be opened to allow it to open all the way on the ground floor. Guest staying was noisy and behaving erratically and as there are no staff at night I had to phone someone to help her get back into her room by locating a key. She then continued to bang on my door into the early hours asking to use my phone and then to help her with something else. Managed to get about two hours sleep before she woke me again arguing with her companion and slamming the front door. She banged on my door at 5am. Before I just went for a walk at 6am then drove off before 7 to sit in a car park for 2 hours before the meeting I was due in. Even had to phone the police to do a welfare check on her because I was so worried about her. Awful night. Mattress is so far beyond its best days it was uncomfortable.

Almost perfect! Only downsides were that the shower didn’t drain particularly well so leaked onto the bathroom floor if you were in it for more than 5 minutes and that the mattress needs replacing as it’s sunk and you can feel the springs. Other than that everything about the studio apartment was fantastic and incredible value for money!

We liked having a kitchenette, as well as an anteroom off the bedroom. Two restaurants and a grocery store were near us. We were less than 2 miles from town. Thank you.

Shower was a bit tricky to figure out but once I cracked the code it was great. Very little support as far as a front desk. Never figured out the water taxi. A nice walk to and from town and always felt safe. You do have to rely on Uber if you need a ride to train station etc.

Hottest room I’ve ever stayed in as no air con, just a fan to move the air around. Window couldn’t be left open as the catch can be opened to allow it to open all the way on the ground floor. Guest staying was noisy and behaving erratically and as there are no staff at night I had to phone someone to help her get back into her room by locating a key. She then continued to bang on my door into the early hours asking to use my phone and then to help her with something else. Managed to get about two hours sleep before she woke me again arguing with her companion and slamming the front door. She banged on my door at 5am. Before I just went for a walk at 6am then drove off before 7 to sit in a car park for 2 hours before the meeting I was due in. Even had to phone the police to do a welfare check on her because I was so worried about her. Awful night. Mattress is so far beyond its best days it was uncomfortable.

Shower was a bit tricky to figure out but once I cracked the code it was great. Very little support as far as a front desk. Never figured out the water taxi. A nice walk to and from town and always felt safe. You do have to rely on Uber if you need a ride to train station etc.

We have stayed before, it's a great location with an easy 20 minute to half an hour walk from central Stratford . Lovely building , easy parking and lovely helpful staff. The full breakfast is particularly good too should you choose to have it. A big thank you to Christina the Manager who went over and above.

My room was spotless, bed very comfortable and whilst arrival seemed odd the member of staff who greeted me was polite and helpful. They do not provide catering, which is not an issue unless you want a cooked breakfast. There is a breakfast box in the room with fruit, danish pastries and instant porridge pot which not being a breakfast person was fine. Dinner can be obtained at a pub 1 minute walk from the hotel. As a business trip stopover a good place to saty

I've read some very harsh things about Stratford Limes Hotel in other reviews, but whilst I'm not saying my stay was without issue, I do fear that those ‘concerns’ are rather unfair overall. For me the positives were its location in Tiddington, which was a village that all the amenities that the hotel didn’t, including a pub and a village shop (which I used) and a couple of sit-down/ take away restaurants (which I didn’t). Tiddington was a one-and-a-quarter mile walk to Stratford-upon-Avon, and so not beyond the range of able-bodied guests who did not want to take a car into town. Plus, my room was perfect for my needs, and the only downside of it was that it overlooked the smoker’s garden which had a sole occupant talking loudly into a mobile phone until about 11pm on the first night of my two night stay. All of the staff I interacted with did a good job, especially the first one who moved me after I discovered that the TV in my first room had been seemingly vandalised by a previous occupant. In terms of value for money I had no complaints, and if anything my stay actually exceeded my expectations.

Clean and spacious room. Sited at front of hotel, though traffic noise from main road was not an issue. Mini fridge was noisy and pillows not v soft, though slept ok. Good location for Stratford, and good for what we needed.

A lot of recent reviews seem to be critical but for me the hotel was fine, clean, comfortable, quiet, only 30 minutes walk to the theatre, and as cheap as I could find for a one night stay.

Stayed for 1 night in August. Lack of receptionist on arrival let it down. People arrived an hour before us and were still waiting for someone to arrive and book them in. Cleaning staff came down and got us sorted. They could not do enough for us and were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Comfortable en suite rooms and plenty of parking. The hotel is fairly basic and only offer a continental breakfast in a bag. It would probably benefit by at least offering a cooked breakfast. Overall enjoyed staying at the limes and would definitely use again if we revisit Stratford Upon Avon.

Very welcoming on arrival. Room was ideal for two of us , clean and comfortable. Receptionists was very informative about helpful when asking about local area for eating etc . Continental breakfast well worth the money quite a bit of variety .

It’s my hotel of choice in Stratford. Covid kept me away for a bit but glad to be back. Breakfast, which used to be an attraction, while still good, is not what it was…A bit prepacked, which is against the ethos of the place.

Trevligt och billigt ställe. Kontinental frukost skulle kunna köpas, men vi såg varken frukost eller någon i receptionen. Vi fick bara lägga nycklarna i en box på disken när vi åkte. Överhuvud taget var receptionen inte öppen under deras öppettider. Iallafall ett rent och trevligt litet hotell med bra och gratis parkering.

Very disappointing. Having stayed here several times previously this was not the same experience. Prior to arrival payment had been taken. This was a first having stay in many hotels UK wide. On arrival on friday afternoon we were abruptly told no breakfast tomorrow due to a kitchen problem. We were subsequently advised no cook was available. We were offer a cooked breakfast on Sunday morning however we declined. The general Cleanliness inside and out was very poor. Externally, dity patio and patio furniture. Internally we requested the numerous cobwebs and spiders be removed from our room. No house keeping was present which resulted in us requesting fresh towels and toilet rolls when we caught someone at reception. All in all very disappointing.

Great location, close to town centre ! Don’t like that there are no staff here , if any issues just a number to call. Room atten came I. Once in our 3 night stay, that said , the hotel is nice. Plant of car parking! And aww would return, just a few tweaks would make it perfect ! Well Worth a stay

What a lovely find! We booked last minute and mainly chose the hotel from the positive reviews. Good location, free parking and very spacious room. They don’t do breakfast but there is a fridge and they also provided porridge pots which was a lovely touch. Good quality tea & biscuits too! We would definitely recommend and if we are in the area again would stay again.

Had a lovely stay,check was straight forward very helpful staff, room was spotless. Had everything we needed loved the extra touches e.g porridge and fruit in room, cold water provided in fridge tea/ coffee and biscuits provided. Would definitely stay again
